How she made something pretty from something that was already pretty doesn't make sense because obvi you can make something pretty into something else that's pretty. The first makes sense but if the second makes sense you have the vibe of a very specific character from mean girls the musical.

I still find it so sweet but kinda weird how much Bluey blew up, like I've always lived in Queensland and i've been to so many of the places like the specific market the show's one is based on, tbh it's really nice for Australia to be represented in more than just the accent, Sydney and weird words. The show for me also feels really nostalgic with the beautiful backgrounds that that portray the state I have lived in all my life. And fun fact- the voice of Bandit used to be/ is in a band, which is really funny to me because so is my dad

I have a baby nephew, he was watching Bluey and it was the episode where they go shopping. There's a moment Dad is sat in the toilet roll aisle in 'time out', or something. A clerk asks in an unsure tone, "Can I help you?". Dad, without missing a bit, replies "Wish you could, mate." Caught me by surprise and I had a damn good chuckle at it. Thats what a good kid's show should do, entertain the parents a bit too. I also love how the mum and dad play along with the games, too. They arent portrayed as villains trying to ruin the fun of the kid's games.

I thought maybe they used AI for all the child characters of the show, and didn't want us to know because they're afraid of what we'll think of their work... but if they'd rather keep the child cast of Bluey, Bingo, and their family members and friends their ages private, then I respect that. Man, i cannot stress enough just how much I love this show. The camping episode oh my god. By the end of the episode I actually just sat there, actually crying , because I relate to that oh so freaking much. Making a friend in the holidays that you'll probably never meet again, gosh... And the lesson Chilly teaches her is so true. If you haven't noticed yet, that is my favorite episode.
One day while I was watching, my mother came and we watched together. It was the episode Flat pack (i think that's the name). She was really enjoying watching them play with each other. When Bingo said "thanks for taking care of me", goes off and then her parents called, and the end sequence, bluey passing and looking at everything they had played, and then Bandit stretches his arm bluey grabs it, and the music, my god... He then says "this is heaven" as they watch Bingo. My mother was shedding tears.
How beautiful was that. I am the biggest fan of this show

Omg Bluey is guilty pleasure of mine, and some of the "kids shows" I still watch are Little Einsteins (thanks for teaching me my love of music) and Doc McStuffins, which imo is very aesthetically pleasing and teaches kids almost the reality of what it's like to be in the hospital (when you get to the later seasons) without being super graphic like ER (which is an accurate depiction of the chaos of hospitals, but honestly, no kid should watch it.) But TBH I thought Bingo was Bluey's younger brother ;~; but I love the designs!!! Keep up the good work Callimara!!

In all seriousness, shows like Bluey really inspire me to keep on my path as an animator. Although I am terrible at 2D art, I do hope to work in child's animation or teen animation one day, solely to give more good quality stories to inspire others.
As for suggestions of regular Aussie sayings: Any sort of abbreviation ("Arvo" = Afternoon, "Servo" = Service Station/Petrol Station, "Smoko" = Smoking etc.), a lot of "yeah nah" (rough translation: 'yes i hear you but no [goes back to the topic]'), the word "mate" (at least where I live), and most importantly: M a c c a s (Mc'Donalds). I'm pretty bad at remembering most things I say and if they're specifically Aussie, but oh well, I tried.

I also really appreciate the reminder that well made media is typically able to be enjoyed by all age groups, but also acknowledge that some media aimed at children was created in such a way that adults simply won't connect with it the same way kids do. Nobody who falls on either end of this spectrum should feel bad for liking what they like or not being as interested as others might be.

She’s actually named bluey after the story about a blue dog and a red dog playing rugby, I distinctly remember it being apart of a PE lesson in primary school and that’s why they chose to make bluey and her sister blue and red heelers

I agree, I love seeing the parents interact with the kids in a good way, but also take care of them. Bandit and Chili may be a rare exception, but I've seen other shows that show parents that are a bit like them. I think Bandit and Chili have the most character development, but I also seen shows where they showed loving and caring parents/grandparents. I love it when they show a single parent or grandparent taking care of the kid, to show that some people can do it alone. I've seen a lot of episodes of Bluey, but not enough to know if there's a single parent dog yet. (Timothy goes to School, Lily's Driftwood Bay, Willa's Wild Life, and Ni Hao Ki-Lan are some examples of single parents or grandparents taking care of kids). Also, Bluey is an exception because it shows kids the adults' point of view, but also trying their best to show the kids' point of view as well. I like it because I was so sick of kids shows/movies showing unrealistic expectations of adulthood. Bluey definitely has way more effort put into it than a lot of modern preschool shows do. I hope people don't forget about shows like Little Bear and Lily's Driftwood Bay, but I'm glad that Bluey is getting the love it deserves. It's definitely the bets kids show we've had in the past 10 years!
(Also, I heard when you used Rugrats as an example of the adults being stupid, and I'm fully aware that Rugrats aged very badly and it also wasn't good for younger kids as much) it wasn't really a preschool show like Bluey, so it had different standards. Kids watched it, but I think it was meant more for older kids and young adults. Like, I'm actually not sure what audience it was meant to be for... I'm just assuming it was more for older kids, teens, and adults.
Btw your art style is super cute and you captured their personalities so well. I think I drew human Bingo to look more like a little baby, where you made her look more like a toddler. Idk how old she's supposed to be but I guess it's just our art styles ^u^ as long as people make them look like kids, I love seeing Bluey characters in different art styles
