Man, between Mirio's, "BROUGHT A PEACH FOR YA" distraction, La Brava hacking Skeptic and giving him PTSD, and now Camie with the "Rizz Cake Hawks" illusion and Tokoyami's reaction, this season has been GREAT at delivering comedy during high-stress scenarios. 🤣🤣😮
"Darkness comes in many forms. You have no right to speak of it." One of my favorite lines this season, and that's saying something! Also an interesting and subtle reminder on MHA's philosophy about not thinking the simple and easy way. For all that he claims it, even the darkness rejects AFO.
People so quickly forget that Tokoyami is easily in the top 5 of the Strongest Class 1-A Students he's usually not able to go all out because Dark Shadow gets strongest in darkness with Total Release he manged to strike fear into even All For One's heart like he did before when he shattered the Demon Lord's and Jessie Grelle killed it on the "BLACK ABYSS LIGHT OF BALDUR!" line.
I like Shigaraki’s character development. He is unapologetic and true to his goal. It may sound black and white, but few characters like that stick with that despite such emotional turmoil. He’s definitely a top tier destructive villain.
Tokoyami fighting All for One in this episode and the next is one of my favorite moments from the entire show. ESPECIALLY since I’ve always liked him as a character
I'm sure Brittney Karbowski had some extra fun, though she always seem to have a lot of fun and laugh a lot every time I see her especially on voice actor panels.
I just want to say that whoever wrote Camie’s script for the dub is either a GenZ or someone who looked up how GenZ is supposed to talk. There is no in between. Either way it was glorious and made my day.
Actually, nobody wrote the script specifically for the dub. All of her lines came straight from the manga, apparently. Someone here even said she speaks so much in slang in the manga, that even he has no clue what some of the things she's saying actually are.
It's crazy to think that Darkshadow Total Release punching him with a tornado fist isn't even the best shot of the episode, because we got to see a Tokoyami surprised Pikachu face
*So Lady Nagant managed to land that hit perfectly when U.A. wasn’t even within sight of the hospital that she was being kept at. There’s a lot to think about there. It could be a case of her quirk having effects on her eyesight and how far she can see, and it could also be a part of her quirk itself, what with how the bullets move and where they land. Still, it’s fascinating to think about...* *As for All for One, he was wrong to underestimate the students of Shiketsu and U.A. This goes to show that with the right people and the right plan, even someone as powerful as All for One can be made to panic.* *I can imagine Tokoyami alone taking down entire armies if the night is dark enough...*
An ever growing list of people are trying to engage in this never ending battle and the further we come, all I see is how much left there is to go. Everything somehow always ends in the gray area but the war’s outcome is hanging on by threads to not fall to villains. And some cases are truly at their end with the riot having been dispelled, and the people convinced to return home, and then there’s situations like say an AFO battle that has NO end in sight because he’s just MILES above everyone and everything. (2 parter for each major AFO battle happening) But we start off with Lady Nagant trying to engage with a field, frankly ANY field with her new skin growing back and…less burned body. She can go for the biggest fish and clean the leaders like how everyone preserved Aizawa for Overhaul. She knows the big final battle is occurring and is dragging herself on the wall begging to help Izuku Midoriya who she knows wouldn’t miss this fight for the world. The doctor looks genuinely sad when he says he won’t help a jailbreaker…and I can tell what he really means and doesn’t want to say is he can’t trust her as a hero like when she had that trust in the past. She’s fallen from grace and can’t be given the resources she once had. And because he looks sad, it tells me it’s genuinely difficult to say this to her. Like he was a fan or they were once colleagues in a way. (Lady Nagant must actually be supremely knowledgeable of the human body for both her covert work and her public work. If anything, more public because she would need to know how to fire calibers and places on the body that were not lethal. So her frequently talking to doctors and specialists does make sense) Rocklock actually acts shockingly forward with her SPECIFICALLY because she’s begging to help Izuku Midoriya. He’s…had a pretty bad track record letting kids off the leash to act as they need to because he’s an overprotective father. And he knows Midoriya. He recognized him as a hero more willing to act than even he was, and unlike most kids on the scene, Rocklock probably got the full scope of what Deku did against Overhaul (minus finding out he’s All-Might’s successor) and bared witness to Shigaraki vs Deku the 1st time. And all he could do was standby. He sees Lady Nagant begging to help and he relates. Because he CAN’T help Deku. There’s nothing his quirk or his skillset offers to Deku in that fight. But getting someone else out there? And someone as competent as Lady Nagant? Yeah he’ll help her. And he knows FOR Lady Nagant to be won over by Deku and for her to be this level of concerned for him tells him everything about what has to be an EXTREMELY locked up case file about their encounter. He gives her battle details and coordinates of the battlefields. (Which may seem weird he has those on hand, but my guess it’s actually because of Kurogiri. Had HE been in the same room as Kurogiri before he warped I think he could use lockdown on him like the High End in the hospital laboratory since he’s passed away making him a non-living object. At the very least if Shirakumo is truly dead, but he sadly looks quite conscious) If only she had a longer range than what Snipe said on TV and go for ANY leader. No wait her range limit of 3 km is ENTIRELY a lie. We have NO idea what her true range is because that shot from the hospital to the flying arena is INSANITY. But she’s likely got about the range of a railgun based on her prior artillery speeds against 45% Deku being Mach 7 tops and she said she could increase a bullet’s velocity. She probably couldn’t tag Dabi as with his heat, the bullet would likely melt before reaching him at his temperatures, Toga she can’t single out, and the others…wouldn’t be the greatest of use like Rewind defense. She has one worthy target. And foiling the one who ruined her and destroyed her? Icing on the cake of her restored noble heart. Due to the fact she can change her trajectory from curving bullets long after they leave the barrel means she can somehow adjust as needed as the bullet makes its way to the arena. She used curving, she used an AP shot, and it manages to completely bypass the All-Might steroids. Yeah when it’s armor piercing that’s ALL ARMOR. OFA bypassing, and also whatever the heck Garaki did to Shigaraki to insert more bone and muscle without making him bigger. I can imagine AFO saying now that he has his quirks back that he can fight without using either of his hands but MAN was he not ready to test it so soon. Her body is still rejecting any defiance against AFO but she’s not going down without giving EVERY defiance she can. And she crumbles directly after the 3rd defiance. 3 perfect shots, and 3 strikes and she’s out. (Still not dead. Buff=Immortality streak is still an infinite streak) You are NOT going crazy. Gentle and Nagant are now in the intro when they weren’t before! I didn’t see La Brava but maybe I missed her. AFO is taking this new development well. Does the fact that Nagant was given a gift of air walking and…body explosion, (lot of that last one going on lately) mean NOTHING to you?! Ungrateful. Now if you don’t mind I’m going to keep trying to hold my stomach that SaS ripped open in one piece. LIKE A CIVILIZED MEMBER OF SOCIETY THAT HAS IT ALL TOGETHER. And with a sudden burst of some of the FINEST MUSIC in MHA. This piece is called “Moonlight” A somber theme that plays as Shigaraki truly comes to terms with how AFO has used him for DECADES. Not for the greatness he displayed learning from AFO was he worthy of the kingdom he was promised so long ago, but because all he was doing was promising HIMSELF he would recreate the kingdom he had and expand it. Take his brother using the hatred he stoked. Using his body as the symbol not of something specific to TENKO’S unending trauma, but as the symbol of Nana and All-Might’s greatest failures. Shigaraki caught on far too late and only realized what was happening as AFO showed himself COMPLETELY at the Tartarus jailbreak. (He had a hunch in the 1st war, but still had a say that day. Tartarus is when the king was locked away so that the God could take the stage.) But Shigaraki learned from his master well. People can be molded and used. Take value in the emotion of others as there’s power to be found. And AFO and Garaki even clued Shigaraki exactly WHICH feelings were the important ones. The ones that AFO wanted to use in the OFA realm in S6E10. The memories that Garaki would only step behind if they were awakened, and what granted him his PERSONAL greatest power in MVA. And Shigaraki found a VERY useful truth. You find something that works on OFA? It also likely works on AFO just the same. And today? Shigaraki breaks his bindings. He doesn’t believe in the god AFO stood before him as. Sure the question is AFO brought was “What is a king to a god?” But Shigaraki counters “What is a god to a nonbeliever?” And like that…it’s the return of the king. Limited movement but the most important piece on the board. Deku got him away from Kurogiri who is in crisis all over. Shigaraki is not on AFO’s path. He’s going to destroy EVERYTHING. He doesn’t need OFA. It’s his obstacle. And OFA wasn’t there for him when he needed to be saved. And Deku doesn’t care about this change because whether it’s world domination or a true apocalypse, it’s his job to prevent it. No more backup, no more allies, it’s just the two successors locked in for a fight to the finish. And Deku is at a SEVERE power disadvantage. And the storm rages. Gentleman Hero saw Deku dash off the arena carrying Shigaraki, but doesn’t let himself think that Deku is putting his faith in him. (He knows. And he is ENDLESSLY flattered.) There are no cameras. (There are.) He’s by himself (he’s not.) and he will not be recognized (he will) and he might just get crushed as a hero. (He won’t. But he IS A FREAKING HERO) Ok Gentle, can you stop being wrong about everything for TWO SECONDS BY JOVE?! You’re a good man and that really wasn’t even doubted in your time as a scoundrel! La Brava gets the island up and running…but Aizawa and Present Mic fall off UA…and Kurogiri makes his move. Removing them from the premises.
However bad it may be for the good guys, I GENUINELY love the moment when Shigiraki takes back control. Him becoming All For One's puppet was definitely my LEAST favorite part of season six. Horikoshi had done SUCH a good job at building Shigiraki up as a character and villain throughout the series, especially with (what else) the My Villain Academia arc. He had really come into hos own by that point, and seeing him become such a powerhouse and giving the heroes so much trouble when he woke up in season six was oddly satisfying. So imagine my dissatisfaction when they just . . . threw that away in 6x9, and suddenly, Shigiraki having to fight for his own freaking body became his one and only point of development. I honestly think season six is my least favorite season cause of that.
@@HaydrogenBombthat is still a REALLY strong stance I don’t agree with. Season 6 is my favorite. I hope I’ve helped you understand the fun intricacies of the AFS development as time has gone on since. I do agree there absolutely should have been much more conflict between Shigaraki and Deku themselves, but this whole crisis of character with AFO I do like a lot because AFO believed he instilled his teachings enough to where he could replace him. But Shigaraki had become his own man and as AFO took over, the Shigaraki followers are often startled and scared of a man they treated as their equal despite his authority over them. But they remain because they know he’s in there. That’s some devotion.
Guys yes shiggy's goal is destruction of things that he is annoyed by in society but it is also to also let the rest of the league of villains do the rebuilding.
If this fight proves anything, it’s that the fight against All for One needed the students. Inasa, Camie, Tokoyami, and now Shinso and Kirishima all really proved that they’re more than capable of facing villains. Even ones as powerful as All for One.
In regards to the "All For One doesn't get that these kids have super strong quirks," The thing is, All For One IS the Quirk Singularity Doomsday theory The theory is how generations of quirks will fuse and merge to become stronger, but All For One does that on his own. I'm pretty sure Bakugo's dad can shoot acid out of his hands and his mom secretes glycerin from her skin (non explosive, basically moisturizer), the two combined to create his ability to create explosions. That's a good example, but meanwhile All For One has dozens of quirks like that in his own body. I THINK earlier in this season when talking about his ability to detect lies, he reflects and he doesn't even remember what the original quirk was.
Again something to keep in mind for the final season, Rocklock is the hero that lets Lady Nagant help because he too has been changed by Deku. When he first met Deku he saw him as a kid and not a hero during the meeting to rescue Eri, now he puts his entire faith in Deku to the point that he would allow a jailbreaker to help because she too was moved by Deku, all these connections show that Deku is as much an inspiration to others as All Might was if not more as All Might didn’t inspire those same villains to change in his time as a pro. As an aside that idea that MJ is not the greatest because people are getting better with time would by comparison mean that Issac Newton wasn’t really a genius or that Elvis isn’t the king of rock and roll anymore
At the part where he says his heart won’t waiver like those two makes me think is he that crazy not to understand the error of their ways And become good person like they did because of Deku; cause man he really that persistent with his role as a villain and how nothing in this society could ever help him not even Midoriya he thinks
Let me say for toga for one thing we understand what she’s going through the fact that she told ochaco from the previous episode about the girl who longs for love is gone was actually what keeps her power Energy of what she can do with it but as it turns out even though she’s using twice power of creating infinite doubles while making other doubles of her team members the powers don’t actually still work like that the way he did that’s why those other doubles can’t use their powers because they’re just copies of twice who only relies on his combats strength that’s the only power that himiko uses while transforming into twice she doesn’t have enough to use the others judging by the conditions she’s in where she’s locking these feelings inside but it’s becoming too tough for her to handle because of what she really wants and what she denies when she sees ochaco. To me, it’s that moment where either she never had training with twice quirk to know if it works and realizing what kind of battle she’s in now
Ok so there’s 2 gigantic AFO battles happening and although Shigaraki has reemerged, he’s still an AFO wielder. And AFO is just prancing about thinking how it’s time to conclude his story. And HE has to be covered. At this point he’s just enjoying his last battle free to use his normal senses and bask in the glory of his chaos he’s invoked. He’s going to engulf Shigaraki as nothing more than the feeling of his anger and rage to boost his theft power for OFA. Blue fire is EVERYWHERE, there’s gotta be MILLIONS of Twice doubles easily now. Things are going GREAT. Hawks is just 100% done with AFO and wants to take him out with max damage with a twirling sword redirection going for the throat so AFO just SHUTS UP…but AFO just reminds us, he’s not here because he can’t get away. He’s just enjoying this, and can end anything practically anyway he chooses. And with glee, uses the same quirk the Nomu called Robot used on Mirko’s arm. Spacial distortion. Essentially spawning a black hole and with a TWIST OF HIS HAND, Hawks is murdered in cold blood getting spaghetti’d at the atomic level right in front of Tokoyami. This wasn’t an effort, it was to make a point. NOTHING ON FIELD IS AN EFFORT TO HIM AT THIS LEVEL. AFO is STILL probably the strongest being on the warzone because Shigaraki is an amateur at using the quirk stockpile. (You’d think the All-Might steroids would be better at ending heroes if all his claims of what his power is were not suspected by his own confusion and conflict with Garaki since AFS has made the direct hits on everyone not Deku) Hold on. Before Hawks goes out he has to show us his sick new…eyeliner, extended eyelashes, and styled eyebrows…and goes out like…we just misclicked and now we all BADLY need to delete our search history. WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?! Didn’t he just get-oh. Hi Camie! Um. Well I guess AFO isn’t bothering with the vast abundance of sensory quirks now that he has eyes again otherwise THAT WAS IT FOR HAWKS. AFO is NOT listening to that another second and I’m pretty sure Camie just inadvertently got ANOTHER person to need therapy from her assistance adding from the kids she helped Inasa, Bakugo, and Todoroki babysit. Shiketsu has entered the scene! And let’s be honest. I’m not talking about just a small group, but the ENTIRE DANG SCHOOL SHOWED UP FOR THIS. All 20 from both classes of all 3 grades. 2nd, 3rd, and Alumni. (Shiketsu classes didn’t stop like UA after the war, so all of them have officially moved up or graduated. Technically the 1-A and 1-B kids are 2nd years but didn’t get the official go ahead) That is 120 hero course “students” making up the army to face AFO. The alumni are official heroes outright now. The small team isn’t working so how about an entire school. Camie is here riding on…Shishikura’s floating…meatball flesh let’s not dwell on that, Shishikura is back swearing vengeance for his father the prison guard (the same prison guard who was making everyone uncomfortable questioning the humanity of the people locked in Tartarus) Nagamasa Mora has returned as Alumni and straight up looks like the Abominable Snowman. So I’m sure he’s screaming “WELCOME TO THE HIMALAYAS!” And offering snow cones. We get the silver surfer but twins on Frozone’s sled with gun arms, a guy with Astro Boy’s rocket system, and we FINALLY SEE WHO HAD THAT AWESOME LOOKING GREEN ENERGY QUIRK IN THE 2ND INTRO IN SEASON 3. (I know REALLY off the beaten path but Make My Story is my favorite MHA opening song so I spotted him FAST) If it sounds like I’m ignoring the giant army throwing most powerful of all 120 kids by a long shot elephant in the room, that’s because how on earth do I NOT give MY BOY INASA YOARASHI being the MVP of Shiketsu all the attention he deserves?! LOOK AT THIS! Inasa is throwing HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of doubles in the air WHILE funneling attacks in all directions towards AFO, and has COMPLETELY changed the landscape that we have NEVER seen from the Todoroki’s! ALL WITHOUT HINDERING HIS TEAMMATES. These are ALL-MIGHT SIZED TORNADOES. And he’s got like 5 going all at once! It’s definitely not All-Might force, since AFO isn’t flinching but I think it’s time to move up Yoarashi up the quirk ranking on this insanity alone. I had him at #10 but whirlwind is the new #6 right beneath Ice Fire. (Hard to call it Half-Cold Half-Hot when it’s no longer restricted to one side of his body.) I had him beneath Foresight, Erasure, Overhaul, and Double but this is too much for any of them to do anything, and they were only ahead because they could answer more quirks in the show with their broken effects and powers, but…now I’m not really at ALL convinced with this magnitude. So what is AFO’s response to all these new forces? Well he panics and starts to think how he wants to go back into hiding and yeah no. He is COMPLETELY unphased, and I think he just tried to test if he could steal the quirk double from a double. If that worked? Um. Game over. You can NOT give double to AFO or AFS that is FAR too much power. So instead he wants to see how people defend themselves, grows a pair of…techno wings and just BLASTS A SUN INSTANTLY OVERPOWERING EVERYONE BUT INASA who by some MIRACLE gets boosted instead with extra wind to command. As if controlling ALL THE WIND CURRENTS IN THE ATMOSPHERE TO HIS WHIM WITHOUT MOVING wasn’t busted enough. The only reason there are NO casualties to that is because AFO wants to see how people defend themselves. He’s still poking around the area for more quirks to give to AFS. This is what? A 7 quirk combo? He’s STILL PLAYING. We’ve seen the power of the kids built piece by piece but if you so much get a REMARK on the power of your quirk from this guy? You’re nothing short of top tier and you STILL have no active counters and your quirk is FAR more dangerous in HIS hands than in yours. It took ONE Prominence Burn to rewind 7 years! And you need the force of 28 prominence burns to run out his 200 years! How much damage has he taken SINCE?! Let me check. Oh yeah. NOTHING. NO ONE HAS DAMAGED AFO. He looked to be in his prime for likely over a century so while he LOOKS younger it’s not like we’ve passed the halfway marker on his time limit! He’s talking about BANJO’S era! He looked this young in the 5th OFA era! He had to be reaching 100 back THEN! And there’s no way for us to even confirm that’s how old he actually is right now and we can actually assume he’s older! Inasa is not having it and said contemporary history is SO much more hype than your dark era we barely got bare bones of due to the government hiding said history. And AFO wants Inasa down PERSONALLY for that one. Um. DO NOT LET HIM GET WHIRLWIND if he’s planning on giving quirks to AFS, that might just be a game over because OFA tends to cause a TON of wind. Removing one of Deku’s only long range moves with that is WAY too much. AFO is recognizing the hot potato of passion jumping from person to person as they hype each other up. And no sooner does Dark Shadow show up! AFO merely adopted the darkness…he was born in it. And with a tailwind backing up the kaiju? We get our 1st hit on AFO since Endeavor stopped fighting right through his…1 air shield. Progress! AFO has officially had his snoot booped. Oh and a VERY long monologue at the end that boils down to the heroes and villains going “This situation is meh.” While Toga is in CRISIS she might not love Shigaraki, Dabi, or anyone else enough to use her double to the fullest terror. Everyone sees the sliver of hope…but Uraraka is the only one actually trying to home in on her. And she actually hears and understands the walking contradiction of emotions. Next time? The meh situation will continue to be the most chaotic meh on the planet.
Had us going in the first half with Hawks, not gonna lie. I think Lil' Tokoyami tucking Lil' Dark Shadow into bed might beat out Eri Claus as the cutest moment of My Hero. 🥰🥰 Edit: Also, Tokoyami and Dark Shadow having their Venom moment and giving AFO, of all people, chills was so satisfying.
When this is came in the manga everyone was pretty stoked about the other school, but the treatment was AFO was generally despised. He is nowhere near as terrifying as a main villain should be. He is like Sukuna forced to be in a PG 13 show.

I just want to say that whoever wrote Camie’s script for the dub is either a GenZ or someone who looked up how GenZ is supposed to talk. There is no in between.

Actually, nobody wrote the script specifically for the dub. All of her lines came straight from the manga, apparently. Someone here even said she speaks so much in slang in the manga, that even he has no clue what some of the things she's saying actually are.

*So Lady Nagant managed to land that hit perfectly when U.A. wasn’t even within sight of the hospital that she was being kept at. There’s a lot to think about there. It could be a case of her quirk having effects on her eyesight and how far she can see, and it could also be a part of her quirk itself, what with how the bullets move and where they land. Still, it’s fascinating to think about...*
*As for All for One, he was wrong to underestimate the students of Shiketsu and U.A. This goes to show that with the right people and the right plan, even someone as powerful as All for One can be made to panic.*

An ever growing list of people are trying to engage in this never ending battle and the further we come, all I see is how much left there is to go. Everything somehow always ends in the gray area but the war’s outcome is hanging on by threads to not fall to villains. And some cases are truly at their end with the riot having been dispelled, and the people convinced to return home, and then there’s situations like say an AFO battle that has NO end in sight because he’s just MILES above everyone and everything. (2 parter for each major AFO battle happening)
But we start off with Lady Nagant trying to engage with a field, frankly ANY field with her new skin growing back and…less burned body. She can go for the biggest fish and clean the leaders like how everyone preserved Aizawa for Overhaul. She knows the big final battle is occurring and is dragging herself on the wall begging to help Izuku Midoriya who she knows wouldn’t miss this fight for the world. The doctor looks genuinely sad when he says he won’t help a jailbreaker…and I can tell what he really means and doesn’t want to say is he can’t trust her as a hero like when she had that trust in the past. She’s fallen from grace and can’t be given the resources she once had. And because he looks sad, it tells me it’s genuinely difficult to say this to her. Like he was a fan or they were once colleagues in a way. (Lady Nagant must actually be supremely knowledgeable of the human body for both her covert work and her public work. If anything, more public because she would need to know how to fire calibers and places on the body that were not lethal. So her frequently talking to doctors and specialists does make sense)
Rocklock actually acts shockingly forward with her SPECIFICALLY because she’s begging to help Izuku Midoriya. He’s…had a pretty bad track record letting kids off the leash to act as they need to because he’s an overprotective father. And he knows Midoriya. He recognized him as a hero more willing to act than even he was, and unlike most kids on the scene, Rocklock probably got the full scope of what Deku did against Overhaul (minus finding out he’s All-Might’s successor) and bared witness to Shigaraki vs Deku the 1st time. And all he could do was standby. He sees Lady Nagant begging to help and he relates. Because he CAN’T help Deku. There’s nothing his quirk or his skillset offers to Deku in that fight. But getting someone else out there? And someone as competent as Lady Nagant? Yeah he’ll help her. And he knows FOR Lady Nagant to be won over by Deku and for her to be this level of concerned for him tells him everything about what has to be an EXTREMELY locked up case file about their encounter. He gives her battle details and coordinates of the battlefields. (Which may seem weird he has those on hand, but my guess it’s actually because of Kurogiri. Had HE been in the same room as Kurogiri before he warped I think he could use lockdown on him like the High End in the hospital laboratory since he’s passed away making him a non-living object. At the very least if Shirakumo is truly dead, but he sadly looks quite conscious)
If only she had a longer range than what Snipe said on TV and go for ANY leader. No wait her range limit of 3 km is ENTIRELY a lie. We have NO idea what her true range is because that shot from the hospital to the flying arena is INSANITY. But she’s likely got about the range of a railgun based on her prior artillery speeds against 45% Deku being Mach 7 tops and she said she could increase a bullet’s velocity. She probably couldn’t tag Dabi as with his heat, the bullet would likely melt before reaching him at his temperatures, Toga she can’t single out, and the others…wouldn’t be the greatest of use like Rewind defense. She has one worthy target. And foiling the one who ruined her and destroyed her? Icing on the cake of her restored noble heart. Due to the fact she can change her trajectory from curving bullets long after they leave the barrel means she can somehow adjust as needed as the bullet makes its way to the arena. She used curving, she used an AP shot, and it manages to completely bypass the All-Might steroids. Yeah when it’s armor piercing that’s ALL ARMOR. OFA bypassing, and also whatever the heck Garaki did to Shigaraki to insert more bone and muscle without making him bigger. I can imagine AFO saying now that he has his quirks back that he can fight without using either of his hands but MAN was he not ready to test it so soon. Her body is still rejecting any defiance against AFO but she’s not going down without giving EVERY defiance she can. And she crumbles directly after the 3rd defiance. 3 perfect shots, and 3 strikes and she’s out. (Still not dead. Buff=Immortality streak is still an infinite streak)

AFO is taking this new development well. Does the fact that Nagant was given a gift of air walking and…body explosion, (lot of that last one going on lately) mean NOTHING to you?! Ungrateful. Now if you don’t mind I’m going to keep trying to hold my stomach that SaS ripped open in one piece. LIKE A CIVILIZED MEMBER OF SOCIETY THAT HAS IT ALL TOGETHER.
And with a sudden burst of some of the FINEST MUSIC in MHA. This piece is called “Moonlight” A somber theme that plays as Shigaraki truly comes to terms with how AFO has used him for DECADES. Not for the greatness he displayed learning from AFO was he worthy of the kingdom he was promised so long ago, but because all he was doing was promising HIMSELF he would recreate the kingdom he had and expand it. Take his brother using the hatred he stoked. Using his body as the symbol not of something specific to TENKO’S unending trauma, but as the symbol of Nana and All-Might’s greatest failures.
Shigaraki caught on far too late and only realized what was happening as AFO showed himself COMPLETELY at the Tartarus jailbreak. (He had a hunch in the 1st war, but still had a say that day. Tartarus is when the king was locked away so that the God could take the stage.) But Shigaraki learned from his master well. People can be molded and used. Take value in the emotion of others as there’s power to be found. And AFO and Garaki even clued Shigaraki exactly WHICH feelings were the important ones. The ones that AFO wanted to use in the OFA realm in S6E10. The memories that Garaki would only step behind if they were awakened, and what granted him his PERSONAL greatest power in MVA. And Shigaraki found a VERY useful truth. You find something that works on OFA? It also likely works on AFO just the same. And today? Shigaraki breaks his bindings. He doesn’t believe in the god AFO stood before him as. Sure the question is AFO brought was “What is a king to a god?” But Shigaraki counters “What is a god to a nonbeliever?” And like that…it’s the return of the king. Limited movement but the most important piece on the board. Deku got him away from Kurogiri who is in crisis all over. Shigaraki is not on AFO’s path. He’s going to destroy EVERYTHING. He doesn’t need OFA. It’s his obstacle. And OFA wasn’t there for him when he needed to be saved. And Deku doesn’t care about this change because whether it’s world domination or a true apocalypse, it’s his job to prevent it. No more backup, no more allies, it’s just the two successors locked in for a fight to the finish. And Deku is at a SEVERE power disadvantage. And the storm rages.
Gentleman Hero saw Deku dash off the arena carrying Shigaraki, but doesn’t let himself think that Deku is putting his faith in him. (He knows. And he is ENDLESSLY flattered.) There are no cameras. (There are.) He’s by himself (he’s not.) and he will not be recognized (he will) and he might just get crushed as a hero. (He won’t. But he IS A FREAKING HERO) Ok Gentle, can you stop being wrong about everything for TWO SECONDS BY JOVE?! You’re a good man and that really wasn’t even doubted in your time as a scoundrel! La Brava gets the island up and running…but Aizawa and Present Mic fall off UA…and Kurogiri makes his move. Removing them from the premises.
However bad it may be for the good guys, I GENUINELY love the moment when Shigiraki takes back control.
Him becoming All For One's puppet was definitely my LEAST favorite part of season six. Horikoshi had done SUCH a good job at building Shigiraki up as a character and villain throughout the series, especially with (what else) the My Villain Academia arc. He had really come into hos own by that point, and seeing him become such a powerhouse and giving the heroes so much trouble when he woke up in season six was oddly satisfying.
So imagine my dissatisfaction when they just . . . threw that away in 6x9, and suddenly, Shigiraki having to fight for his own freaking body became his one and only point of development.
I honestly think season six is my least favorite season cause of that.

I hope I’ve helped you understand the fun intricacies of the AFS development as time has gone on since. I do agree there absolutely should have been much more conflict between Shigaraki and Deku themselves, but this whole crisis of character with AFO I do like a lot because AFO believed he instilled his teachings enough to where he could replace him. But Shigaraki had become his own man and as AFO took over, the Shigaraki followers are often startled and scared of a man they treated as their equal despite his authority over them. But they remain because they know he’s in there. That’s some devotion.
Guys yes shiggy's goal is destruction of things that he is annoyed by in society but it is also to also let the rest of the league of villains do the rebuilding.

If this fight proves anything, it’s that the fight against All for One needed the students. Inasa, Camie, Tokoyami, and now Shinso and Kirishima all really proved that they’re more than capable of facing villains. Even ones as powerful as All for One.

In regards to the "All For One doesn't get that these kids have super strong quirks," The thing is, All For One IS the Quirk Singularity Doomsday theory
The theory is how generations of quirks will fuse and merge to become stronger, but All For One does that on his own. I'm pretty sure Bakugo's dad can shoot acid out of his hands and his mom secretes glycerin from her skin (non explosive, basically moisturizer), the two combined to create his ability to create explosions. That's a good example, but meanwhile All For One has dozens of quirks like that in his own body. I THINK earlier in this season when talking about his ability to detect lies, he reflects and he doesn't even remember what the original quirk was.

Again something to keep in mind for the final season, Rocklock is the hero that lets Lady Nagant help because he too has been changed by Deku. When he first met Deku he saw him as a kid and not a hero during the meeting to rescue Eri, now he puts his entire faith in Deku to the point that he would allow a jailbreaker to help because she too was moved by Deku, all these connections show that Deku is as much an inspiration to others as All Might was if not more as All Might didn’t inspire those same villains to change in his time as a pro.
As an aside that idea that MJ is not the greatest because people are getting better with time would by comparison mean that Issac Newton wasn’t really a genius or that Elvis isn’t the king of rock and roll anymore

Let me say for toga for one thing we understand what she’s going through the fact that she told ochaco from the previous episode about the girl who longs for love is gone was actually what keeps her power Energy of what she can do with it but as it turns out even though she’s using twice power of creating infinite doubles while making other doubles of her team members the powers don’t actually still work like that the way he did that’s why those other doubles can’t use their powers because they’re just copies of twice who only relies on his combats strength that’s the only power that himiko uses while transforming into twice she doesn’t have enough to use the others judging by the conditions she’s in where she’s locking these feelings inside but it’s becoming too tough for her to handle because of what she really wants and what she denies when she sees ochaco.
To me, it’s that moment where either she never had training with twice quirk to know if it works and realizing what kind of battle she’s in now

Ok so there’s 2 gigantic AFO battles happening and although Shigaraki has reemerged, he’s still an AFO wielder. And AFO is just prancing about thinking how it’s time to conclude his story. And HE has to be covered. At this point he’s just enjoying his last battle free to use his normal senses and bask in the glory of his chaos he’s invoked. He’s going to engulf Shigaraki as nothing more than the feeling of his anger and rage to boost his theft power for OFA. Blue fire is EVERYWHERE, there’s gotta be MILLIONS of Twice doubles easily now. Things are going GREAT.
Hawks is just 100% done with AFO and wants to take him out with max damage with a twirling sword redirection going for the throat so AFO just SHUTS UP…but AFO just reminds us, he’s not here because he can’t get away. He’s just enjoying this, and can end anything practically anyway he chooses. And with glee, uses the same quirk the Nomu called Robot used on Mirko’s arm. Spacial distortion. Essentially spawning a black hole and with a TWIST OF HIS HAND, Hawks is murdered in cold blood getting spaghetti’d at the atomic level right in front of Tokoyami. This wasn’t an effort, it was to make a point. NOTHING ON FIELD IS AN EFFORT TO HIM AT THIS LEVEL. AFO is STILL probably the strongest being on the warzone because Shigaraki is an amateur at using the quirk stockpile. (You’d think the All-Might steroids would be better at ending heroes if all his claims of what his power is were not suspected by his own confusion and conflict with Garaki since AFS has made the direct hits on everyone not Deku)

Before Hawks goes out he has to show us his sick new…eyeliner, extended eyelashes, and styled eyebrows…and goes out like…we just misclicked and now we all BADLY need to delete our search history. WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?! Didn’t he just get-oh. Hi Camie! Um. Well I guess AFO isn’t bothering with the vast abundance of sensory quirks now that he has eyes again otherwise THAT WAS IT FOR HAWKS. AFO is NOT listening to that another second and I’m pretty sure Camie just inadvertently got ANOTHER person to need therapy from her assistance adding from the kids she helped Inasa, Bakugo, and Todoroki babysit.
Shiketsu has entered the scene! And let’s be honest. I’m not talking about just a small group, but the ENTIRE DANG SCHOOL SHOWED UP FOR THIS. All 20 from both classes of all 3 grades. 2nd, 3rd, and Alumni. (Shiketsu classes didn’t stop like UA after the war, so all of them have officially moved up or graduated. Technically the 1-A and 1-B kids are 2nd years but didn’t get the official go ahead) That is 120 hero course “students” making up the army to face AFO. The alumni are official heroes outright now. The small team isn’t working so how about an entire school. Camie is here riding on…Shishikura’s floating…meatball flesh let’s not dwell on that, Shishikura is back swearing vengeance for his father the prison guard (the same prison guard who was making everyone uncomfortable questioning the humanity of the people locked in Tartarus) Nagamasa Mora has returned as Alumni and straight up looks like the Abominable Snowman. So I’m sure he’s screaming “WELCOME TO THE HIMALAYAS!” And offering snow cones. We get the silver surfer but twins on Frozone’s sled with gun arms, a guy with Astro Boy’s rocket system, and we FINALLY SEE WHO HAD THAT AWESOME LOOKING GREEN ENERGY QUIRK IN THE 2ND INTRO IN SEASON 3. (I know REALLY off the beaten path but Make My Story is my favorite MHA opening song so I spotted him FAST)
If it sounds like I’m ignoring the giant army throwing most powerful of all 120 kids by a long shot elephant in the room, that’s because how on earth do I NOT give MY BOY INASA YOARASHI being the MVP of Shiketsu all the attention he deserves?! LOOK AT THIS! Inasa is throwing HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of doubles in the air WHILE funneling attacks in all directions towards AFO, and has COMPLETELY changed the landscape that we have NEVER seen from the Todoroki’s! ALL WITHOUT HINDERING HIS TEAMMATES. These are ALL-MIGHT SIZED TORNADOES. And he’s got like 5 going all at once! It’s definitely not All-Might force, since AFO isn’t flinching but I think it’s time to move up Yoarashi up the quirk ranking on this insanity alone. I had him at #10 but whirlwind is the new #6 right beneath Ice Fire. (Hard to call it Half-Cold Half-Hot when it’s no longer restricted to one side of his body.) I had him beneath Foresight, Erasure, Overhaul, and Double but this is too much for any of them to do anything, and they were only ahead because they could answer more quirks in the show with their broken effects and powers, but…now I’m not really at ALL convinced with this magnitude.
So what is AFO’s response to all these new forces? Well he panics and starts to think how he wants to go back into hiding and yeah no. He is COMPLETELY unphased, and I think he just tried to test if he could steal the quirk double from a double. If that worked? Um. Game over. You can NOT give double to AFO or AFS that is FAR too much power. So instead he wants to see how people defend themselves, grows a pair of…techno wings and just BLASTS A SUN INSTANTLY OVERPOWERING EVERYONE BUT INASA who by some MIRACLE gets boosted instead with extra wind to command. As if controlling ALL THE WIND CURRENTS IN THE ATMOSPHERE TO HIS WHIM WITHOUT MOVING wasn’t busted enough. The only reason there are NO casualties to that is because AFO wants to see how people defend themselves. He’s still poking around the area for more quirks to give to AFS. This is what? A 7 quirk combo?
He’s STILL PLAYING. We’ve seen the power of the kids built piece by piece but if you so much get a REMARK on the power of your quirk from this guy? You’re nothing short of top tier and you STILL have no active counters and your quirk is FAR more dangerous in HIS hands than in yours. It took ONE Prominence Burn to rewind 7 years! And you need the force of 28 prominence burns to run out his 200 years! How much damage has he taken SINCE?! Let me check. Oh yeah. NOTHING. NO ONE HAS DAMAGED AFO. He looked to be in his prime for likely over a century so while he LOOKS younger it’s not like we’ve passed the halfway marker on his time limit! He’s talking about BANJO’S era! He looked this young in the 5th OFA era! He had to be reaching 100 back THEN! And there’s no way for us to even confirm that’s how old he actually is right now and we can actually assume he’s older!
Inasa is not having it and said contemporary history is SO much more hype than your dark era we barely got bare bones of due to the government hiding said history. And AFO wants Inasa down PERSONALLY for that one. Um. DO NOT LET HIM GET WHIRLWIND if he’s planning on giving quirks to AFS, that might just be a game over because OFA tends to cause a TON of wind. Removing one of Deku’s only long range moves with that is WAY too much. AFO is recognizing the hot potato of passion jumping from person to person as they hype each other up. And no sooner does Dark Shadow show up! AFO merely adopted the darkness…he was born in it. And with a tailwind backing up the kaiju? We get our 1st hit on AFO since Endeavor stopped fighting right through his…1 air shield. Progress! AFO has officially had his snoot booped.
Oh and a VERY long monologue at the end that boils down to the heroes and villains going “This situation is meh.” While Toga is in CRISIS she might not love Shigaraki, Dabi, or anyone else enough to use her double to the fullest terror. Everyone sees the sliver of hope…but Uraraka is the only one actually trying to home in on her. And she actually hears and understands the walking contradiction of emotions. Next time? The meh situation will continue to be the most chaotic meh on the planet.
Had us going in the first half with Hawks, not gonna lie. Between Mirio distracting AFS, La Brava giving Skeptic PTSD, and now Camie with the "Rizz Cake Hawks" illusion, this season has been GREAT at delivering comedy during high-stress scenes. 🤣🤣
