This is still great 7 years later! I love that it is timed so that I can just follow along in real-time and not have to stop and start the video. Very well put together and exactly what I needed. Thank you! Can't wait to explore your other videos!

@@psgips I know these tutorials take a long time to make. and I loved the way you did it- no talking- just pointing out everything clearly step by step ,so easy to follow. Doing something with care and concern for your viewers is very impressive. I guess you probably do everything in your life with care. . I make small elegant Asian style night lamps and buying the beautifully textured paper for the panels for them gets expensive. So your tutorial gave me a very inexpensive and good-looking alternative. I just print it out and use.

Thank you for your reply. I'm glad to hear that. Free stock photos are substantial. But, it takes time to find it. When used as a background on wrapping paper or book covers, the real thing often gives an unclear and dirty impression. Therefore, it is easier and faster to build from scratch. I hope you will find it useful. Many thanks!

Thank you for your kind comment. I am a graphic designer. I know Blender but don't use it. However, your comment got me interested. If it's useful for designing product labels and packaging, open source is a blessing. Thanks a lot!

The background behind the paper at 11:48 how do we make that? :)

The background image is optional. In this movie, "Paper image" is laying on the back. There is also a possible way to show the difference in color by laying a similar texture on the back.

It's optional, but I sure would like to know how to make that texture. I like the grains and dots in combination.

Oh, I'm sorry. The image in this background is not made from scratch, it is the real "Photo image". The material can be found here.
      free-texture.net/etc-textures/paper04.html
But, I may be able to create such a texture. Please also expect the next tutorial. Thank you!
