As your local exterminator, living in a large city, its not uncommon to get tarantula calls during mating season. And no I don't kill the tarantula, I capture and relocate.
That Tarantula just struck gold 😁...you have a great heart Kat enjoy your rescue
I wouldn't mind if pink toe tarantulas lived in my area. This tarantula is lovely.
Omg please name him Oscar 😂💖🕷
Oh HELL YEAH - or HOBO,the clown, Or the Night Stalker, cuz,
That poor thing. Only wanted a normal life.
it makes me so sad and angry that someone would put a spider in the bin like it was a piece of rubbish 😭😭
even if you dont like them its an innocent living creature that deserves respect and just wants to live
but yay I'm happy that you rescued him and now he is safe and will have a good life 😍
Uh- all it wood do is crawl out. It's not like putting a baby in there!
SPIDER: Remember- 8 LEGS, little wierd claws on the tips of his legs, like toes or fingers, evolution is it's friend!
@@sandramorrison99 would*
Would it tho? spider doesnt know its in a bin and needs to get out. after the scare of being picked up and tossed in I think it would probably just bolt for the nearest cover and hide right there, in the bin. then get crushed when someone put more rubbish in or it got emptied by the truck . but none of that matters anyway. what upset me is how it just shows no respect for the spider. its "i dont want this thing so ill just throw it in the bin" when a kinder person would straight away think of it as a animal that deserves some consideration and ok if they dont want it in their house they would find somewhere to let it go outside in a garden or some woods or wherever. to throw it in the bin is to treat it as rubbish not a living thing.
@@SuperLoops so you saying you wouldn't be freaked out if a spider is on your hand?. Because I would've but I would not put it in the thrash
@@acanthita2978 lol I wouldnt be freaked out at all. I love spiders and I have lotsve pet tarantulas. I dont handle them very much but only bcus its safest and best for the spiders that way. if a spider gets scared while its out of its enclosure it could run and hide or get dropped or fall and hurt itself, big tarantulas are actually pretty delicate to falls and impacts.
but some of my very calm spiders that I know wont get scared and bolt I have no problem picking them up and handling them.
Oh my god he’s so sweet! Ugh. I hate how some people think an acceptable solution to an unwanted animal is to toss it out like trash.
Hey Kat! Keep in mind that wild tarantulas are most likely harboring some sort of parasite or other not so good thing that you do not want your other tarantulas to get, so be careful! Also that could be an indicator to what the white residue is.
I can't grasp how anybody could throw any living thing into a dumpster. Good save, Kat.
👍💕👍
I'm gonna be THAT person and say that the person owned it and needed a quick way to get rid of it or it was an escaped pet.
Nazareth I was that person also no worries lol
@@RenegadEfw260 Tarantulas are living beings. They don't belong in dumpsters.
Some one dumped a Mexican white knee or looked like one it was black with white lines , anyway a woman was walking past a street bin in Scotland and she saw a broken plastic tank and thought it was a hamster and had a look she must of got a fright when she saw it was a huge tarantula as you don't get them in the UK & she took a picture and the poor thing was clinging on to the bin liner in the freezing winter in the pouring rain I have to say though it's body was massive so was well fed I just don't get how somebody could have owned her just to throw the tank in the bin with such forse it smashed open could have killed the poor thing the lady phoned rspca and got it a nice home so happy ending Scotland is no place for a tarantula it would never have survived
@@jaybrooks7431 Jesus fucking Christ man, use some fucking punctuation. I know you're going to say, "It's the internet" (with a squeaky childhood voice), but the post makes a lot more sense if you do.
@@chuckfriebe843 You don't have to be a dick about a harmless comment old man. How about you go back to checking your stocks or whatever shitty company you invested in and quit harassing people on the internet.
Thanks for giving this poor lost fellow a home. After such a close shave with the dumpster it couldn't have ended up in better hands.
I don't know if you have experience with wild caught spiders but when you're bringing one into your collection its a good idea to give it as close an inspection as possible with a magnifying glass to check for mites, looking all over the spider but paying particular attention to the top and sides of the chelicerae where they join the carapace, and if you can get a look underneath by putting the spider in a glass or transparent bowl or container to see the folds between the coxae of the pedipalps near the mouth, all the better. I'm sure you've already examined the spider but it might be worth another check with this in mind if you weren't considering the possibility first time around. From the excellent close ups you showed I didn't see anything but of course you will be able to see far better than I. It really is just a precaution, but one worth taking when you have other pets.
Congrats on your new spider .
OH MY GOSH you're the first youtuber I know of that lives in Missouri. The storms really have been crazy here - tornado warnings, floods, etc. But that's so kind of you to take the poor guy in.
Oh Kat! I am absolutely terrified of anything with eight legs. I watch you and Petko to learn and maybe someday be less frightened.
Ok lady. You have to wear your seatbelt on your shoulder as well. You’re a mama and that little one needs you. Proper seatbelt use from now on!!
Yeet ur right
Man, I wish we had tarantulas native to my area. The best I get is some Dolomedes sp (which, don't get me wrong, are HUGE). Poor little guy. Nice job on the save! And the feeding clip at the end is like 99% of my feeding video attempts. haha Great stuff, Kat!
Not only your tarantuals are beautiful you are also to kat 😊💖
@Citizen ofthe9thdivision dude, stop
@Citizen ofthe9thdivision 🤣
Ty for rescuing it Kat ! 💖
Blessings2U,
Wolf🐺 👍
Do you want to do an OBT collab? I have one now and it has quite the character.
Such a precious bab, I'm glad you gave that sweetheart a new home!
I have a latrodectus hasselti that I rescued from a piece of rubbish on the side of the road last week, she's a very chill lady
was looking for shelter, ended up with tarantula Kat, i would say that T has found the best local hotel he could have hoped for
"I diddn't get a call, who calls" 😂 great video, love u Kat!
Thank you for saving him, much respect do you think he got sprayed with something to make him go away
Operation save hairy legs is in full effect.
That is so awesome!!! H is so adorable to. Plz keep us updated on him. Tyfs God bless you
Soooooo adorable! Good job with the rescue!!!
Wow for all its been through it sure was mellow. But its cute how it was just chillin on your hand 🙏 that is so random, but im glad someone contacted you so that it could find a home and not die in a dumpster
I’m absolutely loving the videos 🖤🖤🖤
Kat, with how often people seem to hit your vehicles, you should really use the full seat belt...
Not wearing the shoulder strap in a vehicle equipped with an air bag can be very dangerous or even fatal.
He's so chill!
Such a kind, generous soul. Much love Kat there arent alot of people like you out there. Most would just "throw it in the garbage"
Good work Kat. Excellent video. xx
You have such a kind heart
Way to go Kat!!!! Your awesome!!!
Hi Kat. Nice rescue. Gorgeous tarantula. You’re really great. Keep sharing please. Hugs
You're obviously a great person, keep it up!
Kat, your awesome! Thank you for saving the spooder 💖
Thank You for saving it.
"I was like whoa hold on i know people"
Awwww poor thing, thank you for doing the world a service
Top part of your seatbelt is the most important part!! I know it can be uncomfortable for woman to wear it correctly but please do!! It makes SO much difference in a car crash.
Super Kat!!..to the rescue!!!
Your a great person kat! Wonderful save and very beautiful species! Nice!
Another great and entertaining video!
Awesome tarantula. I love the aphonopelma genus. The hentzi and anax are so beautiful
Love love love this! I want one so bad!! 😍😍💚💚
Great video as usual!
This tarantula is sooo cute! 😍
Nice little spider, my best guess is he fell into a life on the crack and ended up in the dumpster.... Seen this story so many times, seems to have found a good rehab though. Awesome video thank you Kat!
that was a good thing you did tarantulas are awesome !!
Oh my gosh that face 😭 How could anyone be so cruel! Even when I was a terrified arachnophobe I would never have just chucked a spood in a dumpster!
I'm only catching up on your channel now so I'm very aware this is an old video - hope the wee chap molted successfully and had a happy life with you
I’m happy to hear you rescued the little guy. At least now he will be happy & taken care of. Thanks for sharing!
My daughter & I have two vip tickets already to come see u in a few weeks :) so excited!
I've kept 5 of these lil fellas. They've made the most interesting and expansive burrows in my collection and most seem to dig along the walls of their enclosures(which is amazing cause I can see them). Their only problems are that they go dormant for winter regardless of indoor temperatures and humidity so for 2-4 months you basically have a pet hole and they can sometimes burry themselves for a molt.
Omg good you saved it she's gorgeous
the best channel and video that RUclips could recommend to me
LOL that cricket at the end to cute for words and funny
Love the video
Your editing skills have gotten so amazing
Thank you for saving him :)
also, the residue looks like building material. Like drywall dust.
I stan Dumpster Tarantula 🤩
I LOVE tropical world pets!! I am from MO too. I have seen many MO T's around (south) and some are big.
I need an aphonopelma in my lifeeeee, I’ll probably get one in like 4 months, there so chill and beautiful, also congrats on almost 20k kat!
My first tarantula was an adult female G rosea, wild caught. She is the sweetest gentlest spider ever. I bought 8 captive bred spiders since, and she is still the calmest. She's only flicked hairs once in 7 years, and never threat postured.
Yaay go girl! #SaveSpiders
5:05 - 5:45 Ah, so this is how you bath your tarantulas! I always wondered..
Btw, I think it would be good to add the name(s) of the species shown on the video in the description. And why not a little text on the video too when you introduce the creature the first time. I'm not sure if you are already doing this though, but it would (=will) definitely help us common mortals to follow what we are watching. It's so much easier when you can read those latin names, compared to if you just hear them.
PS. Sorry my english; not my native language. Great video and nice save there, Kat! Keep up the good work and have a nice day! :)
I was just in Tuscon AZ for a week look for
Aphonopelma chalcodes in the Saguaro National Park
Yessss living in arizona it was surprisingly hard for me to get one but I finally have one. they're pretty!
@@weebxcore777 I have 3.5 female I brought back with me.
I am 10 yrs old and i found a paralyzed tarantula
So i think i found one
It‘s so gentle
Great save! even you hate or scared of spiders, they still have the right to live!
LOL that cricket clip at the end!! XD
Well, thanks to this video I’m your newest subscriber! That just broke my heart! Poor little thing 😞 Thank you for just caring so much and taking it in!
this would be a perfect starter to me aghhh bc he is just so gentle and patient and pretty and beautiful AAAGH I wouldn't throw him away for ANY money! He is in a perfect home with you! im happy that u rescued hiiiiimmm
Aphonopelma's are such lovely little souls
How docile the T is...incredible.
Cool keep us updated. I like tarantula more now that I’ve seen and know what those damn wasps do to them.
its impossible to make me angry aren’t the jewel wasps bad too... I hate all wasps!
Don’t they attack the spiders too.
So they never attack spiders., That’s good to know... thanks for educating me..
Gotta day, it's the first time I've seen anyone wash a spider lol, bless him glad you saved him, he's beautiful 😍
They're so well behaved! I'd love one myself but if have to find myself one this nice
Good thing you saved it
Glad it got rescued
She was so pretty with those drops of water 💕💕💕
Tad surprised the guy didn't just put it outside the door or in his yard, that's what I normally do if I find a creature in the house. The garbage is a bit of a weird place to put something unless it's a fly/maggot, maybe. In any case, glad this one found a home with you.
That last part though... Bro! Help me up! 😂😂
Yay free tarantula
That tarantula is my spirit animal...
he in good hands now
Watching exotics lair Tom Moran, the dark den, I wish I could have a tarantula they are interesting. Your right about the weather it's here in Missouri.
You remind of a former soldier I had who was scared to death of snakes but had a goliath bird eater and a few other large tarantulas. Subscribed
Good one.
I used to see P. Smithi's as a kid, out here in New Mex. I would give anything to find them again.
What a little cutie!
Thanks for keeping your eyes on the road (;
I bet this video will get a lot of views 🤘🏽🔥
Great job Kat. It's always great seeing a T saved. I used to save the Alphonapelma Chalcodes when I was a teenager in Arizona. Your awesome. Take care and I'll see you in your next episode.
Haha that cricket at the end was like *Please...Kill Me* Tarantula was like umm eww no I don’t think so
I think i have a problem.
I love tarantula bottoms, they are so cute! And this little guy looks like he has a kiwi for a rump. Adorable.
What a cutie glad your keeping him. Although i cant imagine wild crickets are in any way better they have even worse parasites than home grown
tarantulas are not usually found near st.louis but they are near there and i just realized your like the first youtuber from missouri that i know of thats awesome
Man Wish I could just randomly found Tarantulas like this
Nice job
What a beautiful baby ❤️❤️ thank you so much for taking him in!! Stupid other humans...
Can't believe someone would throw a living thing in the trash :( Good on you for taking him!
