Shit you ain't lying... I never read the diagram. It's a vacuum breaker assembly. I knew the rubber was a vacuum breaker thought the metal was a tail piece because of the kitchen tail pieces.. thanks for the info I'm too lazy to change the title haha.. I might have got the name wrong but I still know how to install and replace them.. thank you
I don't often watch plumbing videos but when I do it is Joyride Fiends 🤣. Is it typical to replace the entire pipe with the software or can you just replace the software.
Depends on how much corrosion is on the part thats being changed. Usually when you touch this old stuff be prepared to change almost all of it because once its disturbed almost everything wants to leak.
thats called a vacuum breaker not a tail piece just FYI...the tail piece is the pipe from the ball valve to the head
