I lost my father about 20 years ago. He was working on a shrimping boat and fell off while working off the coast of Louisiana. The Coast Guard search for him but never recovered a body. His body was lost forever to the ocean. This video hits me in so many ways. Making my donation for Doug and hope he can solve more cases. God bless us all!

Every case has its own journey, but the goal is always the same: to bring answers to those who have spent years wondering and waiting. For Steve’s family, that wait is now over. In this final chapter, we take you through the emotional process of discovery, the recovery of Steve’s vehicle, and the heartfelt moments shared with his family. This isn’t just a resolution; it’s the beginning of healing for those left behind.
Thank you all for your support!

its staged. Cops wouldnt let them do this. They have highly specialized highly trained highly paid people who come in and do this, who know what they are doing. There also should be a snake around the car to catch the fluids. You can see them all in the water. This is tampering with evidence if we didnt see a call to the sheriff or cops.

This deeply heartbreaking and complex situation has finally reached some closure. I’m so proud to have been the stepfather to Axel, Emily, and Travis. I was married to their mother Cheryl. She loves her children with all her heart, and I’ve always admired what a wonderful, caring mother she is.
During our marriage, Steven-such a loving father-wanted to meet with me just before the day he disappeared. That meeting never happened, and tragically, neither did his return. From that day on, the lives of his children were forever changed. His parents, with their unwavering hope, believed that maybe, just maybe, Steven needed time to step away and would return. He was a devoted father, the kind of dad who never missed a single game. Axel, a natural athlete with an arm that could throw a fastball so hard it stung, always had his dad there, supporting him with pride. Axel was a star on the baseball team, but he never let that define him-he was always about the team, a humble young man. And just like him, his siblings, Emily and Travis, are kind, strong, and resilient kids.
The unknown surrounding Steven’s disappearance weighed so heavily on their hearts. The speculation, the endless wondering, made it even harder for his children. There were no answers, just the painful mystery of his vanishing. Life moved forward, and though I was no longer a part of their daily lives, I would check in from time to time. Looking back, I wish I had done more. I wish I had stayed more involved, but we can only learn from hindsight.
When Steven’s story resurfaced, I held onto a strong hope that this time, there would be answers. I felt so reassured when I learned that Cold Case Expert Ben Pender from the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office was leading the investigation. Having worked with Ben for many years when he was a firefighter, police officer, city council member, and now one of the most highly regarded cold case detectives, I knew Steven would be found. Ben is not just incredibly skilled, but he also brings such compassion and dedication to his work.
Then came Doug Bishop from the United Search Corps and the unwavering Sparks Group, who are relentless in their mission. These teams joined together, and I knew that with their combined strength, it was only a matter of time before they’d bring Steven home. The Sparks Group never eases up-they pursue their mission with incredible dedication. Trust me, I know from personal experience that Dave Sparks pushes the envelope! This was the perfect coming together of experts who worked with their hearts and minds fully committed to this task. Detective Pender leads by building a team of the best, and it didn’t matter where anyone was from-what mattered was what they could bring to help.
For the Anderson family, you had the very best working tirelessly for you. Because of their incredible efforts, Steven was found. While this may bring some measure of closure, I know the emotional weight of this loss is so difficult to bear. My heart goes out to Axel, Emily, Travis, Cheryl, and the entire Anderson family. I send all my love and strength to you. I hope that as you move forward, the return of Steven will help you find peace, comfort, and a sense of healing.

I began watching AWP when they were still just a diving channel pulling trash out the rivers. I remember when Doug was still a tow truck driver that took a liking to those guys and started helping them out. Over the last few years, Doug has evolved into a person that has truly found his calling in life, after a long and winding journey with a lot of twists and turns along the way. Unlike the guy he started out with, Doug is doing it for the right reasons, and I can't wait to see him get on his feet and get some momentum going. There are no limits to what he can do. Thank you for using your platform and resources to help Doug achieve everything he deserves.
