Richie is a national treasure. He is surrounded by wonderful people and his music continues to be consistently excellent. His catalogue of music is amazing. His performances are still on the highest of standards.
Such a great talent who is getting some well deserved recognition! I appreciate him for being involved in pastoral ministry and still having a connection to his musical roots. I have always loved the music of Buffalo Springfield, Poco, and his solo work.
Richie's a great guy. I've loved his work for over fifty years now!
I have been down the rabbit hole of Beatles,Byrds and the whole Laurel Canyon scene, it is amazing the amount of artists were born out of that era.
I love this darn guy! He is class act all they way! Wow does he still sound great too!
Thanks Richie it looks like you enjoy performing as much as I do hearing it.
Good to hear you Richie, always loved your voice!
I'dbeen to two Poco concerts in the early 70's: never a better time. Man, they rocked! It was impossible to stay in your seat.
I love Richies voice. My favorite songs of BS are the ones that he is lead singer
I agree with Richie, “Good Feeling To Know” is a GREAT song, shoulda been a big hit!
Without a doubt!
Yup. Makes me want to hear it again right now.
I agree. A Good Feeling to Know is a great song!
A totally equipped musician and performer, a totally good and honest person, one who shares his his blessings with others. His passion for music and those who create it shows thru . His passion for the Lord God has surely enabled him to persevere and reach many with His message. What a unique background, talent and personality that Richie presents to an audience.
Keeping it real. Thank you Richie!
Gee, he still sounds great. Like no time has passed.
I absolutely love this guy! Great voice, super talent and such a Kind Guy!
He's a Trump asshole who was inciting violence on facebook. Rot in Hell, Furay.
Love his voice. Still sounds great.
So right!!!! Good Feeling to know SHOULD have been a monster hit as well as the album! And then Crazy Eyes!!!!
sdushdiu Let’s Dance Tonight
Nice to see and hear Richie again!!
🇺🇸🇺🇸💕🇺🇸🇺🇸💕🇺🇸🇺🇸
Half a century with his wife. This brought tears to my eyes. Loved Kind Woman when it was Springfield and again now. Now I understand what the song is really about. Check out the album "In My Father's House". Excellent music to and about our Lord. Thanks for all of it Richie.
No labels but in the day Poco were too country for rock and too rock for country, a shame they weren't just judged on their music which still stands the test of time. Loved them then love them now.
They're fortunate that they were able to be marketed.
Love Richy. I met him in Colorado in the 80’s
So glad to see how God is using you in the Industry Pastor Richie.
Pete Fornatel who wrote the liner notes for Deliverin pushed that song so hard every chance he had in NYC
Your voice just never changes.
Hallelujah got to be one of my favorite songs you did
Loved this. I hear strains of JUST FOR ME AND YOU on the intro. Great idea, Richie!
Yes, very similar intros.
Man, I loved Buffalo Springfield..., Best Album: Retrospective - I wore that 8-track out.. "Kind Woman" was probably my favorite song on that album. The fact that he wrote this for his wife and they are still together is amazing in today's world/culture.
Love you man!! Did the eagles ever say thank you
yes they did - it was at a concert when Glenn Frey said it ...
John, what did Richie have to do with the Eagles? I saw them twice in the 70s but I'm a bigger fan of Richie.
@@peteshallcross787 Randy Meisner, Timothy B. Schmidt, J.D. Souther would be good starting points to answer that question. Then listen to "Kind Woman", and the Group that essentially invented the sound the Eagles mastered. In a different time and place, Poco would have been as popular as the Eagles, but for some reason they were the feeder team.
Richie sounds awesome! What a performer. I am really surprised the first two Poco albums didn't do much better!
A little time ago I held an original letter in my hands that read like this:
„Dear *****,
I'm sure that by now you have given up all hope of ever receiving a letter back. Really - I am sorry for the delay - but somehow a whole bundle of mail gotmisplaced and consequently never got answered. Yours was among them! Sorry!
In case you are wondering, this is Nancy, Richie's wife. You know about the Buffalo breaking up? It was sad - but now, at least, each guy can do what he wants. Steve has been recording with Judy Collins, John Sebastian, David Crosby, just to name a few; Neil has just finished recording an album, and he is now planning a move back to Canada; Dewey is still trying to put something together; and Richie and Jimmy have formed a country group. The group doesn't have a name yet, but it shouldn't be too long before they come out with a single - so they'll have to
come up with a name soon! Sorry, but I must close now and get to the store. Bye - and thank you - Nanci
P.S. This is an old album cover which was printed up but never used. Thought you might like it!“
I was sure I held in hand something holy :-) (P.S.: The post stamp showed 21 Oct 1968; and the album cover was „Stampede“.)
Richie must be a lucky guy!
What an amazing story. Thanks for sharing.
Rock on, Richie!
We were the dreamers should have been are a number one hit on the singles charts main stream. The Eagles should pay him a royalty for his influence on the early songs.
Plus being a Calvary Chapel pastor, as well.
!!!! Did not know that.
SingleMalt77005 Calvary Chapel Boulder, I believe. Was one of the Young Turks under Chuck Smith and had connections with Maranatha Music.
What a great guy, inductee in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and been married to only one woman for 48 years going to 49...wow!
That's because they trust in Jesus to smooth out the rough spots of a marriage.
Glenn Frey definitely modeled his vocal style on Richie's, as did Paul Cotton, Rusty Young, and Timothy Schmit
Amen!!
No perhaps frey did but I dont hear it w the guys in Poco
Poco had several guys that were all good singers
Yeah, the Eagles sound like Ritchie.
Eagle's arent that good
Man you can say that again.
Close your eyes and you can hear Joe Walsh's influence. Nice song.
At times Richie's voice reminds me of Joe Walsh.
I must add I thought the BS 'reunion' was just that. W/out Bruce and Dewey it's NOT Buffalo Springfield!
It was disapointing
they are dead so it can't be helped....
It was still great.
