It is an interesting play by Iran in response to the attacks on it's Embassy and the 12 dead. It is not an escalation with deaths, and was not an attack on Israeli territory or US bases.
It's a really shippy situation.
It's actually smart. The coddled in the West will not get riled up if few billionaires lose money on shipping. Unlike if Iran attacks ground facilities - much easier for the media to whip up the emotions.

I was a big fan of the Military Sealift Command when I was active duty navy. I was going to go to school to be a radio officer and make millions as a civilian MSC crewman after leaving the navy. Uh, nope. Got married instead. I'm tellin' you, women mess up EVERYTHING!! Now with all the problems civilian shipping is seeing, I really am glad my plans changed. I said that to add the humor and nice day you originally wanted, Dr. Sal. Not much I know ... but it's the best I can do. Thanks so much for your videos.

It really is great to have channels like this. So much is happening in the world and we only get one view (news).This provides so much insight having someone who understands an industry quite well. No extra paranoia added, just what the disruptions are, possibilities and updates. Way better than what you see on the MSM.

It's all connected. Iran and Russia provide aid, weapons, and training to the various terrorist organizations aligned with them. This is a religious war, and the world is smack dab in the middle.
Vienna Convention is about the status of diplomats. Israel attacked a military base housing several leaders of their colonial troops. Depending on your definition, they are Iranian army soldiers or terrorists. Both are legit military targets working for a regime that declared war on Israel late last year.

Lets just discuss the one million barrels of Iranian oil that was seized recently. Nothing on that?
Well, it was not Iranian oil, but illegally trafficked oil of the Quds Force, a terrorist group which Iran formally denies is part of their military. Even though obviously it is part of Iran's colonial armies and that oil was trafficked to fund Iranian global terrorism.
Iran can't exactly own up to it being theirs as a result, even though the US mentioned them by name. On top of that Iran disguised it through shell companies in Turkey and Oman. So it's not Iranian by any legal definition.

They haven't been that quiet -- US and RN ships are still intercepting drones and missiles practically every day. None of them have been getting through, and admittedly that's partly because the volume of attacks has been lower lately, but it has rarely been zero (only two days without recorded attacks since the whole thing began, if I'm not mistaken).

If the capture of the MV Aries is Iran's response to the attack by Israel on the Iranian embassy that killed people I'd say Iran is showing a great deal of restraint in response to an outrage.

We sacrifice our lives for this job, which is in most cases unbelievably underpaid, we have to battle the sea, the weather, pirates, and now also governments...
Have you been into the Persian Gulf? Is there a seafarer's union? How many languages can you understand?
@@andywomack3414 @andywomack3414 Yes, many times. There is a union, ITF, but it benefits only the poorest, so seafarers from really poor countries, at least everyone gets a proper bed, meal and minimum salary (about 700$). I can speak 4 languages...

Like it wouldn't be logical for the US to release the Suez Rajan before the verdict, and payment of the fine. Hence they didn't.

The building hit in Damascus was not a "diplomatic" building. It was next to the Iranian embassy but it was not a designated diplomatic facility. Only they media have made the claim it was diplomatic, not even Iran has made that claim. Careful picking up the lies of the "professional" news media.
