- Check out these really easy and cheap feather boards. I made them with PVC trim and offset tank bolts. For the cost of 1 store bought feather board you can make 4 using this method.
TOOLS I USE:
Table Saw: amzn.to/39jKmuS
Mitre Saw: amzn.to/3l9XyVk
Drill/Driver: amzn.to/3fE7RzN
Circular Saw: amzn.to/39j5qBG
Jig Saw: amzn.to/3q25rjh
Multi Tool: amzn.to/3nWzI10
Compressor: amzn.to/3oLS8C3
Router: amzn.to/3nYCO4K
ShopVac: amzn.to/39jc7Du
Camera: amzn.to/3maeqwt
Paint sprayer: amzn.to/3sxD79w
Really appreciate the tips about the offset bolts. Great cost savings tip!
OK. thanks for showing what happens when we get lazy. I winced seeing you drill over saw table too. I wanna reprimand you on holding little pieces with hands but I have done the same thing.
Really put your blood sweat and tears into your projects. The offset tank bolts are a great idea.
Thanks man, I really appreciate it!
Tip: instead of pvc, which has gotten bloody expensive now in 2022, you can use another alternative way cheaper: plastic cutting boards. Most of them are made of hdpe, another highly durable plastic like pvc but less costly to make, you can easily find them in the kitchen section of dept stores in many sizes, colors and thickness. You don't necessarily have to buy a very thick one, a half inch board or even less can be used for making feather boards and they will still be strong and durable.
And after you cut them don't throw away the leftovers, they are also excellent for making runners for sleds for the table saw and also you can use them to make knobs like the ones in the video.
Thanks for the video!
True, all great ideas.
You should do a video with Gideon helping you when he gets a tad older
That would be really cute
I tried making some of these from some old cutting boards but they kept melting as I was cutting.
