Can excel figure out what credit card batch payments cover what credit card purchases? Example: one column has credit card purchase amounts and the next column has batch payments to the credit card merchant to cover the purchases. Can excel match the purchases to the batch payments?

very helpful but my question is, "Can Hlookup work when you want to lookup data date-wise and the dates have different formats E.G 6/8/2017 and 8-Jun-2017?' i have been trying but it is continuously bringing #N/A

you may be able to "transpose" if I understand you problem correctly, this may be the simplest solution, hope this helps

I've always had high respect for people who make videos like these ;-) But one question: to find the Commission Amount, would it just be easier to just type D4*F4 for the first amount, D5*F5 for the second and then vertical-drag-copy-paste from there? I got a little bit puzzled as to why you put another LOOKUP function in G4 just to find the Commission Amount. Thanks! God bless you, too! =)
