Great job - just enough without being too much.
Looking forward to seeing if multiple filters could be created at the same time, and then change dynamically as the data set changes.

Like your style, easy to understand. I need to develop a spreadsheet to track construction projects, project costs and prioritize for multiple medical facilities. Being able to filter and sort data for presentations to staff and contractors. This will get me started.

Rather than put >150 or whatever. Could you not have that value 150 in another cell and reference the cell instead of putting in the number?

    Hi:
I have duplicates but want to choose the duplicate with the highest score. For example, Jaylen is listed 4 times.
    Jaylen 68
    Jaylen 57
    Jaylen 95
    Jaylen 85
How do I advanced filter excel to choose only 1 score for each person?

All of this can be achieved much easily using pivot tables. 1.Why not pivot tables? 2.How can we use Advanced filters for other advanced purposes?

+Asad Ullah Butt I've never used pivot tables and have no idea what they are used for. I do a lot of filtering though. Is it worth learning about pivot tables?

Advanced filters are much less useful than they used to be. In its simplest form, all of the things he showed us could be achieved with regular filters. They become really interesting when you use either use more criteria (last part of the video) or a formula (for example an IF function with "true" and "false" results) as a filter criterium. I also like to use it for getting a list of unique data in a column (although pivot tables could do that too).

Followed your steps several times but, all that happened was the data set copied and pasted.
