Vlookup has been explained in the easiest way following step by step basis. The Teacher is one of the best communicators I have come across. Kind Regards.
at 12:24 Rather than ColumnS($Q$3:R3), if we just type COLUMN(R3), that will also do the job, I suppose. I have tried it many times and it has worked well but I am not sure whether there are any disadvantages of this method. When you try this method, make sure that you use the Column function (without S at the end), not the ColumnS funtion. I should also note that it is an amazing video. I particularly liked vlookup from a different workbook. That is something that I have never thought of before. Thanks indeed.
I only use Excel for my business to make a cash book and an attendance tracker for my students so I'm not that good at it. I needed to use this formal and this video has been the only one that worked for me. Thank you very much!
Thank you sir.. I trying to learn from so long time... Refered so many vedioes.. But it will not help me... I seen your vedio... I clear understand and I tried... It's really helpful... Thanks a lot sir
Just woww,, this video made my day because I was a bit confused in Vlookup formula methods but now it's very clear, it's a very very helpful video to understand Vlookup in a very easy way thanks a lot 🙏
Sir..this is one of the easier dan faster way to understand what's the VLOOKUP's function..Thank you so much for this video..Really appreciated it especially when it comes to copy this multiple values ..Tq so much
Thank you for this video! It helped me with a problem that I was working on with a spreadsheet. Your narration is delightful, it actually calmed me down and helped me retain the information. :)
This is a very good video - Thank you!!! It was very easy to follow you and understand the idea behind this formula. Just one thing was not explained and I had to go to other videos in order to understand it. This was the 0 in the formula at the end prior to closing the brackets. I learned that 0 or "False" is added when you want the vlookup formula to return an exact value from the table and column where we need information from.
for the last two methods, only min and max can be used, rather than using vlookup with min or max, there are other ways to use min and max for look up value to be found in array, which you have not mentioned here.
Thanks a lot for the great lesson. I have a question. What's the difference between using Vlookup to find the MIN/MAX and using MIN/MAX function directly?
MIN and MAX are numerical functions: that is, they won't work with text. So if you needed to identify the lowest or highest *score*, you'd use them by themselves. However, if you wanted to return not the score but the *student's name*, you'd need a VLOOKP.
This is first video, where I could understand how to use vlookup. I watched so many videos, I wasn’t able to understand it.
Thank you so much.

I wonder, why must it be the first two columns only -- why not STUDENT NAME and all the way to HISTORY?
thanks dear I tried your suggestion and it really works thanks a lot

Very nice teaching. It's so much helpful for who don't have any basics idea in vlookup 👍.
Brother you have simplified VlookUp so well :) .. You are doing an awesome job and helping so many of us.
the mention of absolute values using F4 solved my problem, thank you!
For smallest and largest values, we can simply use =Min(K4:K8), or =MAX(K4:K8). Why incorporate vlookup? Makes it complex.
Beacuse of that you didn't use lookup
Well said ,sir.I was also thinking the same
it is good to learn the things more than one way.
Sir, kindly elaborate further the terms used when looking for Min/Max for instance (K4:K8). Thanks
wkwkw

For VLook up min and MAx. We can directly go for the formula min or max right. In this case how is a VLook up min max different.
Very nice video thank you so much 😀
