I got the Asus pce-ac88 new a few weeks ago as I had a door in my way and a cable question ❓
While the Sagemcom coax router supplied by my Internet supplier did work great the time for wireless desktop had finally come.
The Asus pce-ac88 gives me trouble free and very stable connection with a little more up and down speed than what I pay for.
As the card and my WiFi are not in interference with others I can go fast with the combination of my isp, the router and the ac88.
I am currently saving for the recommended rt-5300 router to match the ac88.
I subscribed and I love your style of reviewing, kept me entertaining and you tested it. When I build my new build and pust that wifi card and router ill use your links.
I just pulled the trigger on both of these products in part because of this review. Thanks for helping me make my buying decision!

Link Aggregation is the first port and second port. Why do you say 7, 8 ports are for Link Aggregation?

Why not have a network switch with like 3-5 separate access points throughout the house? Route the cat5 cable throughout the attic and make a video on it!
i have a normal modem that comes with the broadband provider, is it faster for me to use this card, or ethernet?

Here is the catch you only get those speeds with their high end router

if you have a 1gb fiber line i would suggest putting the asus card to the test
try to see how much data from your gigabit speed you actually get over wifi
I would say so real world speeds are about 800 mbps sometimes and I'm very happy with this product it's the closest I've seen to 1gb over WiFi and I love it

I have 'ASUS PCE-AC68 AC1900 Dual-Band' wifi card and 'Netgear Nighthawk X4S' router and I get no lags in games at all. I play lot of overwatch haha

Hmm I think the most peaceful gaming session was with my brother as we dragged out an extension cable and cat-5 cable out to the porch by a pond to sit on a porch swing while playing on an older PC using a CRT monitor propped up on a small end table.
It was a beautiful, sunny spring day that were hitting temperatures that I enjoy the most, and the air smelled great and I wanted to blast my favorite tunes out loud on my little JBL desktop speakers while playing some classics on a screen that was barely visible due to glare and lack of brightness. The indoors seemed musty and bland and ...all wrong! However gaming felt right...
It was far from ideal, actually nearly useless given the time taken to get it all set up, but it was worth it and it was memorable. Definitely silly and inefficient, but fun while it lasted. I think a canopy in the yard or gazebo with a breeze and good shade with a more ideal setup (including a mITX build) would work better.

I think either Quake 3 Arena, Unreal Tournament, or Sims. That seems to fit the time line, but I do not recall. Watching your video made me smile real big because It was a great memory I had, and I would totally do it again.
Who needs weak "portable" laptops that can be outperformed by a practical easy to lug ATX desktop with full size keyboards, mice, monitors, and full sized pride! Yay! Rawr~

You are wrong, the Asus RT-AC88U does support MU-MIMO.they didn't lie, just read the manual and set your router up correctly.

here is the problem, I have bitdefender box, and my internet security is lacking because the box does not link up properly to the rest of my wireless devices...
...particularly my verizon phone. ((despite being told by many people, after two phones no less, that my calls were into an abyss))
so what should i do? I do not want x1 or want to worry about htis problem anymore.
other internet providers are to slow, and similar problems in my area.
I just hope my phone isn't cloned or sniped or something
