    In that case is hard to determine what the bottle neck precisely is. Although you have several bottlenecks. I got over 760mb down with the PCE-AC88.
    Definitely your provider is not the bottleneck. If you connect your PC to ethernet you'll be getting over 900mb down.
    First you need a modem with 2.5gb port, then a router with 2.5gb port, and then you'll need a new AX antenna. Then you'll be able to get the whole speed your connection offers, around 1.2 gb down over Wi-Fi. Trust me it is possible.
    The ARRIS SURFboard S33, connected to any of the AX11000 routers and the ASUS PCE-AX58BT AX3000, would be the nicest set up possible to achieve those speeds easily.

    Hi, you should make an identical video replacing speedtest with Iperf: this will test Wlan potential without the limiting factor ( internet connection). Wi-fi 6 was meant to improve local transfer speed.

    • @DaPoets
      @DaPoets  4 года назад +1

      I'll consider that speed test for a future video I'm working on. Thanks!👍

    Bought the AC88 in 2019 and worked fine until now when it disconnects randomly. There are hundreds of people with the same issue. It seems that the driver and Windows 10 do not get on. Asus needs to update the driver as the ones being sold at present have the same old driver!!!

    Hey, could you make a video on how to transfer files between PCs on your home network? You mentioned that in the end of your video (with your network speed being over 1 GB). Just wondering how I can do that between PCs on same network.

    • @DaPoets
      @DaPoets  4 года назад

      I may add something like that to a video I'm making on maximizing your Wi-Fi settings. But basically to share, you just need to make a folder sharable on your PC (right click that folder) and you can then easily move files back and forth between different computers over WiFi.

      On board wifi is something that's very nice to have. You can always upgrade to something like this in the future if you feel like your onboard wifi has fallen behind the times. WiFi 6E is the newest WiFi standard
