I rarely comment anything, but when a guy get infront of a crowd and deliver his information as relaxed and spot on as he does on youtube. Then I have to give him props! It atleast gives me the confident, that he is the real deal, and not just a internet coach. Great "seminar" Mike and thanks for all your content! Much appreciated!
"Sumo is making love and conventional is Fucking" Hey, thanks for the heads up about that one. I'll stick with conventional, because it's not bullshit.
Lifting is a skill, strength is the measure of ur skill, if u stop looking at squatting, benching, or deadlifting as something u muscle and as something u master, it changes the game
You're a good lifter Roy, and I do think some people don't look at lifting as a skill enough but... ''lifting is a skill, strength is the measure of ur skill'' is too much, sorry xD
It's not an accurate measure of your skill based on the plethora of variables that affect strength. I completely agree but I think you can be very skilled without insane strength
Awesome to see your progression when it comes to speaking to/teaching groups. I remember you commenting in previous videos about almost an anxiety when talking, but this comes across really natural! Awesome
"Do what you should do, Not what you can do" This is gold bro! especially for up and coming powerlifters. Love these types of videos! keep up the good work
This was very inspirational mike. The way you spoke was with such confidence and conviction. That is what I am trying to be. I'm quite silent like you used to be. Thanks mikey!
Awesome vide.... always looking to learn more about my favorite movement. It changed for me when I thought about pushing through the ground and standing up instead of "pulling" the weight up. Two things that look the same but totally different in execution.
Hey mike I've been weightlifting for about 6 months and snatch grip behind the neck presses really helped my overhead position. Idk if you do them but they really helped me.
You externally rotated the shoulders to help engage lats. The lats are an internal rotator of the shoulder, so what's the reasoning behind the rotation?
Man Mike this was such a cool video - not just the info but the way you presented it! How do you prep to be able to speak so well in front of a crowd like that? Thanks again
+ollie r i did a lot of theatre growing up- first speeches i gave was as a high school basketball coach 2008-2011 then just done multiple videos, podcast and seminars. 0 real prep though haha
Hi! What's the fix for a rounded lower back? I'm trying my best to push my hips down and out but I end up with so much pain in my lower back. Can the problem be tight hips?
on week 3 of the powerbuidling program and experiencing so pretty bad elbow pain for so much low bar frequency squats and tips for mobility things to try or anything? thanks
Hey Mike I pulled my glute warming up while deadlifting last week and it’s been messing with my lifts. Any stretches or foam rolling exercises you would recommend to help stretch it out?
I just reached 265 lbs in squats for 1x5. I believe that i can do 3x5 however my squat rack doesn't have any safety bars and therefore i am not pushing myself to the limit because i'm afraid that i won't be able to lift the weight. Are there anyway to keep progressing without safety bars and spotters(noone does squats in my gym) nor changing gym as the closests one besides my current gym is 12.5 miles away.

Mike D someone once told me that the first half of the DL is just a leg press with weight in your hands. blew my mind.
Such a simple movement but with details that change it quite a bit! Pushing through the ground on the dl totally changed my dl!

You externally rotated the shoulders to help engage lats. The lats are an internal rotator of the shoulder, so what's the reasoning behind the rotation?
