Cosplay in general is getting a lot better. There's still a high trend of girls making photos of their tits and calling it cosplay, but there're more people puting a lot of effort in the character representation. And it's quite cool.

I used to hate girls doing cosplay simply for the fact that they were using it as an excuse to dress slutty (slutty Wolverine and slutty Darth Vader are just *wrong*, no matter how hot she is) but a lot of cosplay girls are really nailing it these days with character-accurate costumes, even the ones that are gender-swapped aren't simply lingerie with a mask, they're faithful adaptations of the character's look.
