    Anybody else with a camera on their head would make me dizzy watching. Nice presentation. You really helped me steer clear of a water cooled.

      The only problems ive had with it is in really thick grass. I dont have a jack plate so it gets bogged down in the thick but if you can raise it up a few inches it runs solid in the pads and grass. Im trying to make me a little hydraulic jack plate but ive got a 24V hydraulics system. Im trying to work it to 12V for mine.

      @@countryfriedfishing Just carry a grapefruit knife for the grass. I'd have a paddle and a 12 volt chest freezer in that boat. I guess electric trolling motors are to stay silent. They're heavy.. It's not very loud.

    Great stuff. I've been sleeping on this motor for a while now. Gonna add it on my Coleman 14ft Scanoe.

      Thank you! I watched videos on it for a while myself and nobody was putting gear oil in them and they was putting them on bigger boats. It has been a solid little motor. Im saving up now to try a bigger model to see how it does in current and thicker grass.

    I heard these engines are big in the scooter community. Reason i say that is they make performance upgrades for this exact engine as an fyi what is the noise levels like for fishing?

    • @countryfriedfishing

      Not to bad. I mainly use it to take stress off my trolling motor. Its no louder than any other little outboard.

    I have a similar motor and had to replace the throttle cable. The new cable is just like yours, half throttle before anything moves on the carb. Any ideas on how to fix that?

    • @countryfriedfishing
      @countryfriedfishing  Год назад

      You can shorten the cable but thats about all I can think of short of a new throttle.

    • @countryfriedfishing

      It has a centrifugal clutch. The motor has to reach a certain RPM to engage the rotor.

    does this take gear oil like the 2 stroke do

    • @countryfriedfishing
      @countryfriedfishing  Год назад

      No. It is a 4 stroke and does not require mixing gas and oil. All you have to do is put in 90 weight Gear Oil,10W30 Motor Oil and good Non-Ethanol gas. You want to brake the motor in,,,,run it at less than half throttle for 3 hours and try to be easy and limit the throttle while using around full throttle. After 10 hours you change the gear oil and motor oil and your good.

    • @countryfriedfishing
      @countryfriedfishing  5 месяцев назад +2

      I did a 10 hour break in. Find somewhere you can cruise for a few hours and run it at 1/4 throttle for around an hour to an hour and a half. Park it,let it cool then do it again at 1/2 throttle. After about 4 hours you can run it but dont keep it wide open for long,short burst only. After around 10 hours change motor oil and gear oil and your good.

    • @slickmouf879
      @slickmouf879 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@countryfriedfishing thank you I was just confused because it didn’t seem like you ran it for 10 hours at all before just regularly running it. I seen you break it in for about three hours on the video so it wasn’t very clear about how many hours I needed to and you and only one other guy on RUclips is about the only ones I’m gonna listen to because y’all seem like the only ones with any common sense about this engine.

    • @countryfriedfishing
      @countryfriedfishing  5 месяцев назад +2

      @@slickmouf879 Ive got another video on my channel thats a 1 year update. As long as you take care of it,dont store it on its side,change the oil every 10-15 hours of use its an ok little motor. But you also gotta keep in mind that its air cooled so on those hotter days you gotta give it a break and not run it so hard. Keep it out of the weather,dont run it full throttle for extended periods and its perfectly fine for a little jon boat or canoe. Mine is a 10/36 jon and im getting consistent 5.1MPH in no current.

      @@countryfriedfishing well apparently I got scammed. They were trying to send me a completely different motor that wasn’t a hangkai at all and on top of that, it was one of the ones with a conduit, pipe shaft and propeller instead of the one that you have, which is what I thought I was ordering and what was pictured when I ordered. Now they’re gonna let the motor come all the way to me and make me pay shipping to send it back. None of the sellers on Amazon they actually have yours pictured (a real hangkai) is actually what they’re selling and going to send to your house. I’ve looked all over eBay and Amazon Amazon and the only ones that I can find that they’re going to send me are the ones with the metal conduit shaft and everybody is complaining about the head completely coming away from the shaft while they’re on the water like they didn’t use any Loctite and you can’t get to the bolts that bolt all of it together without taking the motor off nightmares the reviews about the same issue over and over
