sophie winchester Oh, yeah. I saw a Pyre trailer recently, remembered that Transistor and Bastion existed, bought them on a conveniently-timed Steam sale, and beat them in a collective four days. Talk about becoming a fan overnight.
Or without anyone to live in it. I mean, Cloudbank was f'ed to to the point with no one else was there in it, BUT Royce and Red. Even then, you had to kill Royce just to get out of his last ditch effort to control the transistor.
I found the ending to this game sad, yet kinda happy. Yes, Cloudbank is forever fucked, but Red is now forever with the person she cared for. Really made me think about love., and how effective it is.
+Sean Johnson (dragon fo eva) Only until Recursion, sadly. "Hey, Red . . . we're not going to get away with this one, are we ?" - read as: "Hey Red . . . we're not going to get away with [living together in the Country forever], are we ?"
+Sophie A. It definitely can be interpreted that way, the beautiful (and sometimes frustrating or confusing) thing about the narration of Transistor is that it's so open to interpretation. The ending especially is both a tragedy and a triumph, depending how you look at it - probably a bit of both, either way.
well in my oppinion cloudbanks and the country are 2 points on a circle. The people that dies in cloudbanks comes in the country. there they begins to build a new cloudbanks. At somepoint in time the camerata finds the Transistor and use it to control the process. After the failed attempt to kill red they loose their controll and the process begin to make cloudbanks back in its former form : the country

Sure, Red can come back and rebuild the city from her memories but the Process 'processed' the whole population. So a 100% of him is there since the Process didn't get to process him (similarly with Red killing herself). 3) No matter what happens Red wouldn't have been able to resurrect the population of the city since they were all deleted by the Process (overwritten more accurate). And while she could bring back the bodies their consciousness and their 'data' was basically gone when they got processed. So what would you choose - spend an eternity with your soul mate and one true love and regain your precious voice (or who knows maybe you can grow old in the Transistor - if the theory that Cloudbanks was a virtual reality world people got into and forgot about the reality (which in the game would be the "country") is right then it would mean that the Transistor is a sort of gateway into reality) or be the God and architect of an empty, ghost city?

@@ricecooker7037 Cave Story actually kinda kicked off the indie revolution. It was a catalyst for alot of people seeing that games made by indie devs can be just as if not higher quality theNN AAA titles
I love that when you listen close enough, you can hear someone (presumably Darren Korb) singing as who is likely supposed to be the guy in the sword. Just another little detail that you get out of playing the game multiple times that makes the experience complete.
Whenever I feel sad and I need to cry but tears don't come, I play this song. Literally can't listen to it without crying, it's that beautiful. Thank you Supergiant Games for making this and other gems!
Even now A full 9 years later I come back to these songs, just to experience them again, same with the game itself, I think I've played it... maybe 6-7 times now at least over the years And every time, it's an amazing experience, every time it's something so special, and so superb, and every time it manages to bring out these same, intense feelings And so, let me just say thank you SuperGiant Games For making what is, in my opinion, one of the best games to ever exist
I actually missed most of this song the first time because I was still in shock about the ending. Then I listened to it again, and now I can't stop :( / :). I love this game
at first thats what i thought, but then i realized it wasnt so bad after all. I think she chose right and in the end they both ended up happy, can you really say such an ending was bad? in fact i think it was perfect :)
AoKAY00 The thing is, though, that was a HUGE leap of faith. Neither Red OR her love knew definitively that Red would be taken into the Transistor with him. Which is why he was telling her not to. Which is why she hugs the sword right before sitting down with his body. In case it didn't work, it was the closest she could come to saying goodbye. THE FEELS, MY GOD, THE FEELS!
it wasn't enough that this track is as good as it is, its also what red hums to blue when he's near the spine to keep him grounded, making this diagetically the song she uses to bring him back to reality and comfort him is just. chefs kiss never change
Open stream that form the road, With every turn like written code. Gem of stones that drift unknown, To never see the future that is shown. (We are) Trace of stars that glitter of deep That guide us far, but eyes not keep. Together in hand in hand, We found our way to the country-land.
So glad I downloaded this with PS Plus. Had no expectations of this game , other than it looked kinda boring from what I had seen. Apparently... I was wrong.
I've just finished this game for the first time and half an hour later I'm still crying. I don't know why I took so long to finally play this game, but I understand now why it's such a masterpiece. Supergiant, you guys really do make some of the most unique games I've ever played, so thank you for that ❤️ Can't wait to play Hades next!

I cried when Red gave up her life and the power to recreate the whole town to live and stay with her men in transistor when she replied "hey" to his "hi" i was like "that the woman i want to have in my life"
Eh, I won't lie, it's irritating having my internet drop halfway through a video, or in the middle of a match of CS:GO, because an alien-bug-thing ate my cable, but I keep my soldiers on task. They're pretty good at their jobs. y'know! They can kill bugs AND fix a fibre optic cable in minutes!
spoilers as usual. I think one of the things that makes this ending so heartbreaking is that there really is no good end to this story. Poor Sybil just wanted to be with Red, so she told one simple lie that Red would be alone... Instead, the unnamed man in the transistor was there, and Red kept the Transistor. The Process went out of control and that was the end of Cloudbank... The Transistor can recreate the structures but not the people. If she'd stayed, Red would've been alone in Cloudbank... So she integrated herself. His reaction was exactly mine: "No... what are you doing? No, please, stop!" Transistor is a tragedy. One that makes me cry so hard and I fucking love it to death, you glorious bastards.
Spoiler I loved that part with unlocking the story Elements, you didn't know who these people are, and by unlocking these features, this world just got better/ sadder. The relationship between grant and asher, the down and ups of Royces, live, and that Sybil thought that Red's Boyfriend want's to keep her away from Red. The one thing that i still think about is, what is that World? It is definetly a Computer Simulation, the Process as enemy's, the Government as admins, a Transistor as powerful Weapon. One of the best parts were definetly the fact, that there were no Enemies, the Process was doing it's job, that's just what it is, Camerata didn't want to lose control over the Process, and all they wanted was just making Cloudbank better for everyone.
Greysterization Could you tell me why you capitalized the first letter of random words? Please? I've been wondering why people do that because its so goddamn annoying.
I heard this song on the way home from work and due to my complex relationship and feelings from the game. I burst into tears, so many feels I couldnt handle it. Such an amazing song!
This entire game is so beautiful and bittersweet I was bawling by the end. It was painful yet perfect. Now everytime I hear this song, no matter my mood, I can't help but tear up.
I loved this game. Absolutely wonderful. Bawled my eyes out, especially due to the amount I can relate. Just another beautiful game from Supergiant, jeez.
Wow, can't believe this game is 9 years old. I finished it today and all I've got to say is it really blew me away. The art is beautiful, I loved the style so much, the combat mechanics are simple but so much fun to figure out the combinations for, the music is some of the best I've ever heard in a game and there's so much interesting lore to piece together that I couldn't stop myself from just unlocking every little bit of it. A hauntingly beautiful story... If there's anyone just listening to the soundtrack here who has yet to play the game, please do so. This OST is what got me to try the game in the first place, and I don't regret a second of it.
I'm not crying, my eyes are just- You know what? This game is so good that my crying is a way of complementing it. So I openly admit it, I cried, this game is awesome.
***************SPOILERS***************** Yeah, I saw a lot of people that said "Well, she can just bring him back with the Transistor, because it can make anything." She could bring back her lover, but would it really be him? All of our experiences make us who we are, and even if Red had known him her whole life, there was no way she could have learned everything about him. If she had just created someone like him, it would have been a shell of stuff she saw about him, not how he actually was. Loved the ending and the game. Fantastic job Supergiant. NOW I WANT MORE.
I get chills so hard starting around the 00:50 - 1:10 mark.. recently did a full LP of this for my channel.. Been a long time since a game gave me such a long lasting impression..
this song is perfect. i don’t know enough music terminology to express how but EVERYTHING. the combination of different strings over the driving beat, the chords, the way darren and ashley’s voices meld so well, the heartfelt lyrics, it’s all perfect.
Haven't finished the game for a long time. Red just reminds me of a friend whom I lost and loved. (I mean honestly a tall redhead with a determination in her step😅) Her "Hey..." just fucking broke me man... It was just beautiful. Wish I went with her back then.😏
Listen closely to the back-up voice. Try not to cry more. Transistor's ending made me cry. A lot. This is the first game to do this to me. I will never forget this game.
No. Red and her lover are together because they know each other perfectly, are soulmates. I think it's royce who said he was had a "trip" in the transistor and that he could only faithly hear people that he knew but not more.
Teph Although wouldn't the transistor be destroyed at the end? That's what happened to Royce's transistor when he died. I think that would mean that those inside of it would be released to the "country"
At one point, the man in the transistor asked: "Do you think there are others in here besides me? I don't see anyone and when I look up at where the sky should be, I see you." Based on this, I assume that they are in their own version of The Country.
I start following Super Giant gaming since transistor, then I tried Bastion and I am recently playing Hades. I have to say: this studio never disappoints me
This song is on par with "The Best is Yet to Come" from MGS1 as one of the saddest credits songs I've heard in a videogame. It's as beautiful as it is tragic.
The begining of this song made me feel so emptiness....like there're nothing left...even hope is gone....no solution....this song is just too damn good.
Came back to listen to this track again. As far as I can recall, this is the only song from a video game that has ever brought me to tears. Damn it Supergiant, please keep making beautiful games. So excited for Pyre, and of course, its soundtrack.
i heard the soundtrack before playing the game, i was like "huh, pretty" but after playing transistor HOLY FUCK the fucking feels dude... this song makes me want to cry so bad

We are magnets pulling from different poles
With no control,
We'll never be apart
I will always find you
Like it's written in the stars
You can run but you can't hide, try
I will always, always find you
I will always
I will always, always find you
I will always
I will always find you
Like it's written in the stars
We can run but we can't hide, try
I will always find you
Like it's written in the stars
We can run but we can't hide, try
I will always, always find you
I will always
Supergiant is the number one proof that the indie-revolution succeeded.
That and cave story, that game made me feel a whole other kinda way.
@@ricecooker7037 Cave Story actually kinda kicked off the indie revolution. It was a catalyst for alot of people seeing that games made by indie devs can be just as if not higher quality theNN AAA titles
"Hey Red... We're not gonna get away with this, are we?"
I love that when you listen close enough, you can hear someone (presumably Darren Korb) singing as who is likely supposed to be the guy in the sword.
Just another little detail that you get out of playing the game multiple times that makes the experience complete.
transistor : please let me hear your ... voice
red : ...
transistor : please no .. anything but that...
player : ... no thats so unfair ...*CRIES*...
Can relate, #relatable
Whenever I feel sad and I need to cry but tears don't come, I play this song. Literally can't listen to it without crying, it's that beautiful.
Thank you Supergiant Games for making this and other gems!
this game was the only time in my life that I actually bought a soundtrack
GelsonBlaze same. I never regretted it.
Guess you missed Bastion, son.
Even now
A full 9 years later
I come back to these songs, just to experience them again, same with the game itself, I think I've played it... maybe 6-7 times now at least over the years
And every time, it's an amazing experience, every time it's something so special, and so superb, and every time it manages to bring out these same, intense feelings
And so, let me just say thank you SuperGiant Games
For making what is, in my opinion, one of the best games to ever exist
I won't lie, the ending got me all teary-eyed
'You can run but you can't hide' This line still gets me, damn like it's been 6 years
For anyone who wants to play along.
Verses:
[ Dm ] [ Dm/F ] [ Csus ] [ A+/C# ]
Chorus:
[ Bb ] [ A ] [ F ] [ F(add9) ]
[ Bb ] [ E ] [ Am ] [ A ]
Refrain:
[ D5. A/D ] [ Dmaj7 Dmaj9 ]
this game... is great! but the ending crushed my soul so unexpected :O Omg i love it!
Same here. The worst part is that the ending make you think "Oh, everything is going to be alright." right before dropping the bomb.
I had same response as the guy in Trasistor.. Red... dont do it Red.. nooooo
The woman singing is a goddess.
6 years later, I still get goosbumps while listening to this.
I've beaten this game like 10 times already and still can't help myelf but cry to this song... My heart will never heal
Me too!!!!!
it wasn't enough that this track is as good as it is, its also what red hums to blue when he's near the spine to keep him grounded, making this diagetically the song she uses to bring him back to reality and comfort him is just. chefs kiss never change
Open stream that form the road,
With every turn like written code.
Gem of stones that drift unknown,
To never see the future that is shown.
(We are) Trace of stars that glitter of deep
That guide us far, but eyes not keep.
Together in hand in hand,
We found our way to the country-land.
So glad I downloaded this with PS Plus. Had no expectations of this game , other than it looked kinda boring from what I had seen. Apparently... I was wrong.
Yep me too
+Naetoru That's the whole point of this (and Bastion too). A victory in dark times.
Sadly, I bought a PS4 one month after they put it on PS Plus.
I also thought this was boring when I watched the trailer. Almost didn't get it. Thank god I got i bfore the Epic Games free games week ended.
I cried when Red gave up her life and the power to recreate the whole town to live and stay with her men in transistor
when she replied "hey" to his "hi" i was like "that the woman i want to have in my life"
If I ever get lost, I wonder if anybody will look for me.
such questions we all ask in life, though i think it better to wonder how many people will look.
I havent even played this game but the soundtrack is fucking amazing, i've listened to this one like 50 times
YES. Its only like five dollars on mobile. SOOOOO WORTH IT.
Welp, played the game at this point. Yeah, it's totally worth it xD
I haven't listened to this in a while.
The instant it started playing, my whole body jolted with the shivers... Such amazing music
I kinda hate when you throw your soldiers at me, but seems like you have a heart after all
Do you guys have a decent internet service in Shurima? I heard the Xer'Sai's were literally eating the optical fibers.
8 years later, still best gaming soundtrack of all times bar none.
RIP TotalBiscuit who called it first.
Oh Red, I hope you are never apart from him. Time and space will never separate your love
spoilers as usual.
No, please, stop!"
Transistor is a tragedy. One that makes me cry so hard and I fucking love it to death, you glorious bastards.

I loved that part with unlocking the story Elements, you didn't know who these people are, and by unlocking these features, this world just got better/ sadder.
Crell Hudson Its there to annoy you, get used to it.
I loved how this song blended with the ending. It made it deep and really emotional and awesome. This is a master piece. Don't stop making games.
The same thing as with bastion.. I just sat in awe listening to this track. Next game when? haha
The ending had my heart torn apart. Well, not just mine, I suppose, Red had her toll as well.
I bought this game four times on four different platforms
That's how much I loved this thing
This song gives me an insane amount of feels.
Eliseo Alilin Your avatar gives me an insane amount of fear. That is the best and creepiest smile I've ever seen, man.
sylvan sylvan :)
I legitimately can't listen to this without crying like a small child.
The beginning of this song alone is able to make my chest ache and my tears start flowing. Thank you, Supergiant Games.
There's a reason I chose indie games over AAA+ title games.
Long live the Supergiant Games, always supporting you guys! :)
I bawled like a baby.
"Well a gunslinger like you is adventually gonna meat up with a couple of gasfella's"
The end of the game made me cry and when I replayed the game for the 6th time I cried a lot more when I collected the deepest details of the story.
"Hi"
"Hey..."
I'm not crying, my eyes are just-
You know what? This game is so good that my crying is a way of complementing it. So I openly admit it, I cried, this game is awesome.
***************SPOILERS*****************
Yeah, I saw a lot of people that said "Well, she can just bring him back with the Transistor, because it can make anything." She could bring back her lover, but would it really be him?
(I mean honestly a tall redhead with a determination in her step😅)
Her "Hey..." just fucking broke me man...
It was just beautiful.
Wish I went with her back then.😏
Listen closely to the back-up voice. Try not to cry more. Transistor's ending made me cry. A lot. This is the first game to do this to me. I will never forget this game.
I wonder what happened to the people that the transistor absorbed? Would they be in the same world inside the transistor as Red and the Unnamed man?
No. Red and her lover are together because they know each other perfectly, are soulmates. I think it's royce who said he was had a "trip" in the transistor and that he could only faithly hear people that he knew but not more.
"The Country" as its referred to in-game is their version of the afterlife.
Teph Although wouldn't the transistor be destroyed at the end? That's what happened to Royce's transistor when he died. I think that would mean that those inside of it would be released to the "country"
illdiewithoutpi
Royce died IN the transistor.
At one point, the man in the transistor asked:
"Do you think there are others in here besides me? I don't see anyone and when I look up at where the sky should be, I see you."
Based on this, I assume that they are in their own version of The Country.
Melancholic, but also really, really pretty. Don't think I'll ever forget this one.
What a performance really pulls at the heart strings.
I start following Super Giant gaming since transistor, then I tried Bastion and I am recently playing Hades.
I have to say: this studio never disappoints me
Got chills at 0:25 when the male voice came in.
It's so amazing how this song fits so perfectly for the ending of the game, you feel in your soul and heart it resonating with the game ending...
Crying isn't a bad thing. It's reflection of emotions.
Oh hey, a song that's makes me nostalgic for things that never happened 😢
How they always have s tier art and soundtracks ?! 🔥🔥
This song is on par with "The Best is Yet to Come" from MGS1 as one of the saddest credits songs I've heard in a videogame. It's as beautiful as it is tragic.
Starsailor - Way to Fall is also one of the saddest songs I've heard from credits. From MGS3. Hurts internally, man.
When I finished playing Transistor, I clapped. First time a game has made me do that. Obviously, I'm too manly to cry.
Just beat the game and holy cow do I love this song. Also, the ending got me.
The begining of this song made me feel so emptiness....like there're nothing left...even hope is gone....no solution....this song is just too damn good.
Probably my favorite track from this game.
I just can't get over this
I'm not a gamer. I'm a hobby musician. I need this album
Came back to listen to this track again. As far as I can recall, this is the only song from a video game that has ever brought me to tears. Damn it Supergiant, please keep making beautiful games. So excited for Pyre, and of course, its soundtrack.
God this song...Transistor's ending is so bittersweet...Can't get over it...
This puts me so much in mind of my own mortality that it HURTS... but I keep coming back.
i heard the soundtrack before playing the game, i was like "huh, pretty" but after playing transistor HOLY FUCK the fucking feels dude... this song makes me want to cry so bad
Перевод песни Paper Boats:
