Actually they go to a Shakespeare festival in the final episode of season 2 and almost kiss(probably more) they even call each other Fran and Max but they get interrupted by Niles being tied up and the house being cleaned out by robbers but not technically a first date but I consider it one because they were out alone at a romantic event and drank champagne in the limo😍
I love how Fran sometimes forgets that she's the nanny and thinks about hiring someone and than realize it😂🤭
