Ken thanks , tried to make this numerous times ,my father was a Greek as I am ,he made this so delicious also I would eat it ,but never watched him make it so years later I've attempted this Greek dish ,but never could match it's glory ,I had to rewind not sure I was hearing the amount of spices in this , tablespoon of cumin and teaspoon of cinnamon,.I was to short onspices ,thanks to you I can replicate this dish. You are god sent ,I made it for my girlfriends birthday ,you made a hero out of me.😁🙂👍

Hi Ken, Thank you again for making my Greek Food Wishes come true! I’ve prepared my meat mixture last night, gonna finish it up tomorrow also making some Greek bread to go with dinner. My mom passed away before we got a chance to do a family cookbook so she took a lot of her tricks with her. She grew up in Kalamata and my dad in Φιλιατρά. She had so many non-traditional recipes up her sleeve and this is one of them! Thank you again for helping me get this dish back on the table.

Pre-baking the meatballs to get more flavor and texture instead of 'just' cooking them in the sauce is always a plus in my thoughts about cooking.
Your 'oregano in the pillow sheet trick' got me curious, might try that with a variety of herbs on a week free from work. Hope I don't end up in a mental hospital.
