Geniales Kostüm, ihre Stimme finde ich nicht mehr so schön wie vor 15 Jahren, aber sie ist die Damrau, die Queen of the Night.

I’m afraid you’re right. I saw her in New York in so many wonderful performances. But maybe she should explore lyric roles and leave the coloratura behind.
@@wotan10950 Read her interview sev years ago. She told she'd like to sing Mimi but nobody actually offers. Explained she can be Fricka in Rheingold but it's not interesting. She really explores her repertoire but remains entrapped in her Fach

Das sehr weite und offene Bühnenbild kommt einer lyrischeren Stimme nicht zugute. Da hätten alle leichteren Soprane die die Rosalinde singen oder gesungen haben einen großen Nachteil ..
Musikalisch und darstellerisch war das sicher die ungarischste Darbietung die ich in 30 Jahren gesehen habe.. Bravo …pointiert geschmackvoll incl rollendes rrrrrr herrlich
Sie hätte sich auch nur hinstellen können und abliefern … ( wie es fast alle machen weil diese Arie verteufelt schwer ist)
Deshalb finde ich persönlich die Kritik der Vorredner absolut unangebracht
Was soll bittenschön “die ungarischste Darbietung” bedeuten???
@@Sesto_di_Vienna sie gibt sich im 2. Akt als ungarische Gräfin aus .. das ganze sollte doch auch komisch und überdreht sein .. und für meine Begriffe phantastisch gemacht …
@@paulwien65 Meinen Sie etwa den fake ungarischen Akzent samt fehlenden ungarischen Umlauten (ö, ü etc.) im Prosa, als ob Ungarisch eine slawische Sprache wäre?! Das sind nämlich schlechte und abgelutschte Fehler (=Unkenntnis und Ignoranz!) der Dramaturgie bzw. Dialogregie… einfach nur ordinär und vulgär, sorry! (Dies wundert mich übrigens auch dahingehend, warum Kosky dies hat durchgehen lassen - er verfügt immerhin über ung. Wurzeln…)
