Good morning Martin! Ain't nothing wrong with puttering around getting something done at your own pace! Having some fun with the Jays. I about fell over when that bird flew off with that mouse! Learn something new every day. Come fall you will be too busy building, to get much else done. Have a great weekend y'all! 🐦⬛🐀☕ 😉😁🇺🇸👍👋🥧🤤
Good Morning Martin! i Love watching your channel. nothing like eating breakfast while watching your videos. it is always good to take a day to relax and recharge yourself. have a Blessed and Safe day. GOD Bless you and your whole family. Amen :)
Greetings Martin - We have Canadian jays (know by some as grey jays) at our camp in the northeast kingdom area of Vermont. This is the only area in Vermont that they live throughout the year. Many of these are banded by the audubon society members . We also have spruce grouse in this area . again, this is the only area in Vermont that we have spruce grouse inhabiting the forest. We have regular grouse and blue jays throughout this area and throughout the rest of Vermonts forested land. I feel like I'm at camp enjoying your work visits to your cabin. Our camp was built in 1953 when the original members tore down an old horse shed and camp used originally by logging crews up through the depression era. The camp heat and cooked meals are serviced by an old Glenwood (model C) wood cook stove. The stove has the warming cabinet above and a water reservoir for heating our water. Back in the 60's a wind storm ravaged some grain silos at a feed store and brought them to the ground rendering them salvage. The men obtained permission to salvage a section of one of the damaged silos (approximately 8' tall and 10' diameter) and buried it in the ground, drove a well point into the ground and installed an small gas pump used to pull water up from the water table and pumped up into an insulated storage tank in the camp mounted above the sink which then provides water dishes, drinking and other cleanup requirements by gravity. Hoping Jim is healthy and soon to return as we miss the camp duo. Hoping Vonnie is back to 100% and enjoying her summer. Thank you for sharing your time at the cabin.
Good to see you back at the cabin. Love seeing the birds. Think we will have to start calling you Bird Man of the cabin. Always enjoy your videos. Makes the start of my Saturday morning enjoyable. God bless you and Vonnie in all that y’all do. From deep southeast Mississippi.
good morning, Martin. I'm just sitting here having coffee with you, watching the birds. that is so cool how they come right up to you that way. what a nice way to spend the morning. Dwayne
martin....i think if you proped up the big pan and put a spicket at the bottom it would make it a lot easier to remove the water....just a good project......love the quietness, the birds etc. so relaxing....thank you
Puttering time ! It's a good job when you can get it, sometimes. After all the hard work you deserve some rest. We're not as young as once was . Good times Martin!.
You're now dead trendy with tares in your jeans. You're cool with the kids. ☘️ The jeans are ok with all that honest wear and tear on them, just patch them up and they're good for another year.☘️
Martin, i sure do enjoy you a❤nd Vonnies channel! Its one of the first oned i click on as the new videos appear. Lookin forward to watchin that cabin build, and Vonnies cookin shows ❤
Martin, I had the Merlin app opened while you were feeding the jays. I wasn't sure if the jays were chipping because it didn't register.. but I did pick up black -throated green warbler, red-breasted nuthatch, American goldfinch, and a black and white warbler.
Great video , I was waiting for you to say... Say hello to my little friend his name is MR Bob. Looking forward to the cabin build videos, I have been watching you cut the lumber and pull the stones for the base......
What???. A nice looking pair of jeans like that going in the fire because of a little scuff on the knee? Why I know a lady in Illinois that I just bet has some old denim squirreled away that could have those pants better than new and go another 5 years!
Never more power than you can hold steady. I went with 7 or 8 as I shook too much with 10. A 42 eyepiece is a good compromise for ones you will carry. Those 25-35's do not let in enough light.
They are definitely getting a great treat this morning. You haven’t even had a bite of your Bonnie’s famous pie❤ The weather looks awesome it really doesn’t look all that hot for you today. Anyways Thank you for sharing and be safe and don’t over do Martin❤️🇺🇸
Harbinger2838, Your comment is hateful 😡 your jealous you don’t have his lifestyle. Didn’t your mother teach you any manner’s , I think not!!! Shame on you !!!!.
Saturday mornings with Martin, so peaceful. Thanks Martin, I look forward to these.

Thank you for sharing your time at the cabin.
You and your buddies have a good thing going, many are jealous I'm sure.
Ruffed Grouse is common in many northern areas.
A puttering day is a good day. Love seeing them Wiskey Jacks
For sure.
Nothing like a good puttering time
The best days.
@@TheNorthwoodsman1 i so agree
Happy Saturday Martin 🇲🇫 😊
Thanks
Two cups of brew and a visit with Martin, gonna be a good day. Thanks.
A nice start to any day.
😊❤😊😊
Even out in the middle of no where, my wife would not let me wear those pants! They would have disappeared.
I can understand that.
WOW, BURN PILE FOR THOSE HOLEY JEANS, **NO**, THEY CAN BE SHORTS. PEOPLE PAY BIG BUCKS FOR THE FAKE HOLEY JEANS @ THE RETAIL STORS. Do take care. Fl.
My thought exactly. Coming soon.
My restlessness paid off! A Martin post at 3:00 am ! Very appropriate because these insomnia times are for the birds too …
Yeah me too, I couldn't sleep and see if Martin was on, it paid off big time!
I do post at 2:am cst
Some people would pay big money for pants like that....good to see you again Martin 👍
😅
They do not get burned in the end.
You better check your vehicle carefully when you leave. Those pets just might hitch a ride with their meal ticket
I would not be surprised.
Steak N eggs are probably my favorite breakfast. Looks yummy
Same here!
Our weekly visit to the cabin has been fulfilled......😊
I aim to please.

The old dipper is working well enough that the spigot may never get installed.
Puttering time ! It's a good job when you can get it, sometimes. After all the hard work you deserve some rest. We're not as young as once was . Good times Martin!.
All in the pacing at this age.
Doesn't get any more relaxing! Thank you very much.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Martin’s ‘puttering’ would be hard work for most😊
If I am having fun it goes in the book as puttering.
Great video thanks
You bet
The whiskey jacks weren’t the only ones who seemed to be satisfied at that moment.
You noticed.
You deserve a break! ✌
It felt good to ease up.
I know it’s going to be a good day, when there is a new cabin video to enjoy. 👍
Many good days to come then.
I LOVE your videos!
That is good to hear, I do enjoy putting them together.
This laid back video goes well with the extended weekend. Love the birds. Have a good week!
We are.
Once again. Another great video. Thank you! 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
Martin, is that how you “Snapped “ up Vonnie with Dark Chocolate? So clever!🐭🍫
Hello Martin , the birds truly love you , best wishes
The pattern is full Jay Rider some reluctant Jays today Looks like Mickey took the high dive into the bucket for the last time
The jays are getting better and braver.
You are the Merlin Perkins of that area 😀👍🏻🤩
What I love.
Thanks Martin, thoroughly enjoyed that.
Good to hear.
You're now dead trendy with tares in your jeans. You're cool with the kids. ☘️
The jeans are ok with all that honest wear and tear on them, just patch them up and they're good for another year.☘️
I think they work better as shorts now.
12 weeks! Glad you took some down time.
Me too!!
Living the dream 🙏🍻🇺🇲

Mornin Martin..oh wow ..looks like the Grey Jay family had a nice crop of babies this year ..very nice ..sure miss those guys from my cabin
Three young fledged is rare but I find it happens when there is an early spring.
It's always fun watching you feed the jays, Martin. 👍
What are the grouse doing?
Off having babies so not many around this month.
Good to see u martin & hopefully all is well with you & urs

Hey Martin, I like goof-off days.
Nothing better if I an not too far behind on the chores.
Relaxing, good vid.
Glad you think so!
Martin, I had the Merlin app opened while you were feeding the jays. I wasn't sure if the jays were chipping because it didn't register.. but I did pick up black -throated green warbler, red-breasted nuthatch, American goldfinch, and a black and white warbler.
All those birds do hang around the cabin.
Great video , I was waiting for you to say... Say hello to my little friend his name is MR Bob. Looking forward to the cabin build videos, I have been watching you cut the lumber and pull the stones for the base......
Sept. 30 is the date for the build so when I get home from that trip we will get it loaded to RUclips.
You are feeding them too much…They wore holes in your jeans 😮😂 😊
So that is what happened.
What???. A nice looking pair of jeans like that going in the fire because of a little scuff on the knee? Why I know a lady in Illinois that I just bet has some old denim squirreled away that could have those pants better than new and go another 5 years!
Stay tuned!
What type of binoculars do you recommend for bird watching Martin?
Never more power than you can hold steady. I went with 7 or 8 as I shook too much with 10. A 42 eyepiece is a good compromise for ones you will carry. Those 25-35's do not let in enough light.
If the old cabin was originaly a mans garage for his prized automobile, where was his house?
It stood just left of the Spruce Grouse grit shelter.
My Yard Looks Like Caddy Shack Because of the Moles !!!
I think of them as special and leave them alone.
THANK YOU
You are most welcome.
I have the same blowdown cleanup about 120 miles west of you. It’s my Anytime Fitness without the FOB.
It is a workout but nice to have the wood near the woodshed.
Thank you!!
Always nice to have you stopping in.
👍😎🇨🇦🪶
❤
So no updates on cabin build.
Walls will go up Sept. 30 when the help arrives.
Work Horse has to eat like one too, always wonder about your wood stove wood supply, thxs for sharing...
Thanks for watching!
They are definitely getting a great treat this morning. You haven’t even had a bite of your Bonnie’s famous pie❤ The weather looks awesome it really doesn’t look all that hot for you today. Anyways Thank you for sharing and be safe and don’t over do Martin❤️🇺🇸
Plenty of puttering time for me at that cabin.
Holes in jeans are a big trend with the younger folks l o l
I am cool after all.
What are you feeding the birds?
Venison scraps in this one,
Here comes dinner. 👍😊🙏
They know me.
What do you feed the Blue Jays?
My Canada Jays get meat scraps and extra pancakes.
“Dark chocolate does it every time.” 😂
Whatever it takes.
Gramps, enough with these panty-hose videos, I want to see that cabine going up pronto! Happy 4th - enjoy your last one.
Have another Drink !
