Nice thorough install John. Seeing the dirt and mud under the panel and on the radiator makes just how much effort that you must put in after riding to have those machines look as clean as they do! Looking forward to seeing the next steps.

I Enjoy the vids John. I’ve have almost identical upgrades except for the body armor. Going to put the 2020 1000 s fenders flares on my 19 1000xp for that extra mud coverage. Can’t wait to do my lights like yours.
I was thinking of the S model flares but dont think it will fit with the side armor rails. Thats ok because the side armor acts like flares anyways. I have a set of 1" spacers coming that will put me at 53.5" wide with the ITP beadlocks 4+3 offset. Thanks for watching!

Did you need the custom wiring harness for halo or did the trail allow them to work with regular wiring

second - do the new led lights retain the 10 mm bolts from the facia into the headlights housing ? (the ones that are hard to get at so you undid all the front facia to get at without bending / braking the plastics.
Great video. I want to put the same high beam set up on my 850.it came with the led headlights already just not the high beams.what is the part number for that if you dont mind..and again awesome video and keep them coming bud.

Just installed the #2884859 LED Light Kit on my ‘21 Sportsman XP1000 Trail. Your video was spot on, unlike the instructions. Thanks for making it easy. I’ll do the alignment tonight before the moon comes up.
I’d swear Polaris listed LED’s as a feature on the XP1000....maybe for the ‘20’s?
My guess is Polaris has an intern in charge of creating and approving instructions for the install procedures and related documents. If they were actually working off a machine they would of caught this. Thanks for watching!
Did your 2021 light up the HALOs on their own or will you need the custom harness? I am about to install them on my 2021 570 and was wondering.
@@travislincoln4498 The 2 headlight Halos come on with low beams, the pod light & Halo only come on with the high beam. You’ll definitely need the harness for independent operation of the Halos
lights look sick looking to order them for my 2020 850 premium trail as well, on another note what Mud Handle did you put on your machines looking to pick up a decent one.

I like these, I plan to eventually put them on my 2021 570. Do you by chance know if the halos will work like factory and come on when the key is on, on the newer machines? If not, I’ll probably splice the wire for the halos into a keyed power wire somewhere.
No the factory switch turns everything in the housings on. You need custom harness to do halos only. Its not that easy, just buy the ebay kit. Trust me if it was that easy i would of saved the $200 and wire up that one single wire too. It comes with the proper connectors for a water tight seal. Its worth it. Hey man quick question what are the grab bars that you have on both of your machines? I have researched like crazy and the only thing I can come up with is Polaris snowmobile grab bars. Did you retrofit yours or is that a Polaris sportsman accessory? Thanks for the help

Great video, excelent instructional detail and extra helpful tips. Although I like the look of these, it is a ways down the list of upgrades for me as I Just got my '21 850 Premium Trail a month ago. Those headlights are NOT part of any trim level of 850 for '21, unfortunately. I know the 570 Ultimate Trail LE has them, but I'm not sure of any other models that do.
Anyway, your ATV is lookin' great, you have modified it very tastefully.
I have the 2021 Premium 850 as well and the high beam is a direct swap but the low beams are different as the instructions includes with the LED light kit don't match the plastics on 2021 850.
The 2021 850 ultimate trail has the halos.
Great video! One thing to note is that the 2021 850 Sportsman is slightly different and the included instructions with the 2021 LED kit don't match up to the 2021 model for the low beams. High beam is identical.
What is the low beam discrepancy in the instructions for 2021?

@@chuckAWD Yes you are correct Polaris just has a very poorly illustrated generic diagram that is misleading. This threw me off too when i read it. Maybe it applies to the 450s and 570s not sure. But take off all 6 bolts to remove the facia from the frame just like i did in my install video. And things will go smooth.

I would like to put just the high beam LED on my 2020 850 Trail. Is it possible to just order the high beam housing? Regardless if I can order it separate or not, do I need anything additional to make it work?
You will need the LED housing and the short connector harness.
Do you know if they sell the LED work light on the back like on the 2021 hunter edition?
yes it can be retro fitted. wiring is already there i believe

Do you happen to have the part number for the separate highbeam pod, my bike is identical to your wife's bike, and the halogen looks awful up there compared to the lowers.

if you could only have one , which one would you get the 1000 or 850? is there a big difference in power and speed?
If you an very experienced rider XP 1000 all day. 850 is no joke also requires an experienced driver. If you are new to ATVs then stick with a 450 if you want to stay alive. Thanks for watching!

Will these fit on a 2020 sportsman 450?
According to the Polaris site. Yes they should fit 2021 450 H.O. If your 2020 has the same housing they will fit. My 2018 XP 1000 is not on the list but i installed them with out issue. 2017 and up i believe is the newest gen body style. Link below.

very nice, always a plus to have the proper skills & tools to get it done!
Should have shown us the brighrness of the old light vs new lights......
I agree but these new LED are so much brighter its a no brainer. Slightly different beam pattern. Still happy with them.

I have all leds on 2021 570 and there are not worth a money, led bulb in stock light would be much better. I'm not impressed.
I can see where you are not impressed, the LEDs are very hot spoty vs the just upgrading the stock housings with LED bulbs. It provides more diffuse light. I still think they perform & look great. Thanks for watching!

After installing mine they were so dim I thought they were broken. The light forms a bright outline that is shaped like the DRLs and not much else. Are yours like that?
