      Glad it helped. Video coming soon of 1" spacers all around. To help stabilze the machine since i gave it a 2" lift. Thanks for watching!

      @@JohnFrancoNH awesome, which spacers did you get?

    • @JohnFrancoNH
      @JohnFrancoNH  4 года назад +1

      I purchased set of four 10x1.25mm 1" spacers off ebay for $60. Had to cut the wheel studs 1/2" shorter. Video coming out Tuesday.

    CV angles a bit steep after? Let us know how the boots/cv’s hold up! Thanks man.

    • @JohnFrancoNH
      @JohnFrancoNH  4 года назад +2

      Yes naturally CV angle will get slightly steeper. But its the price you pay to get more clearance under the machine. They are not maxed out with the kit. Now it has that full 12" that polaris claims. Ive had my lift kit on my XP 1000 for 2 years now and no boot/cv issues. Thanks for watching!

    • @JohnFrancoNH

      its normal for Polaris PVTs to have a slight clunk from rear when on and off the throttle.

    How much did you lose on width installing the lift kit and are you going to run spacers to make up for it?

    • @JohnFrancoNH
      @JohnFrancoNH  4 года назад

      The reduction in width is not even noticeable, but it is a real effect. And yes i do a have a 1" spacer video coming soon for the 850 to make up for its newly added tipsiness. Thanks for watching!

    On HighLifter's website the instructions talk about having to cut or "shave" off 1/4" from the housing (in the front). Did you need to do this? I'm trying to understand why before I make the purchase because I am very reluctant to start cutting and grinding on the housing unit. Any help??

    • @JohnFrancoNH

    Do you recommend setting the shocks to the stiffest setting after installing the lift? Was that included in the overall ground clearance for this video?

    • @JohnFrancoNH
      @JohnFrancoNH  3 года назад

      Yes i set the shocks to the stiffest setting to gains as much ground clearance. The softer setting once the rider is on machine compresses the suspension too much and you loose 2-3 inches right there. Thanks for watching!

    • @JohnFrancoNH

      Still have all the factory adjustments and yes it does still rides like a Cadillac. Some lifts differ especially coil spacer lifts ruin factory suspension feel. This lift just extends the shock at the the mount. Thanks for watching!
