Stay Swanky My Friends!
Good job Ben. Keep those ATV videos coming.
Thanks! Will do!
So, after over 20 years I finally hopped back onto a quad last weekend. The videos I posted on my lame channel are from Saturday when it was pouring out. I have more starting on Thursday, but these are some of the best.
Check'em out and say hi!
So, I've spend a decent amount of time on this quad with the walker Evans shocks, the springs are so long they tend to change ride height a bit as the springs break in. If no one has checked the suspension since new, the ride height could be low in the front, which will make the quad super twitchy. Easiest thing to do to square the quad back to "normal", is get the quad on a flat surface and change spring preload until ride height is back to spec. The best riding experience I've had was with ride height set and clickers at 3 from full soft front and rear. Now with this said, the enormous tires you have on that thing will make it feel clunky and make it fairly nervous as well so decreasing ride height all around while keeping the quad level, or slightly nose up, might be what you have to do to get it set up right. I've yet to ride a quad with 30 inch tires that handles worth a crap.
Awesome info thank you!!! Are those spring length measurements in the manual suppose to be taken when the quad is on the ground or up on a lift?
@@SwankyCatProductions Ground so its loaded
Nice Video and nice Trail you are riding on. Greetings from Germany.
Thanks! Hello over there!
That’s how my brother put it into a tree!! Water skipping. Haha
Haha oh that's right, I forgot you said that!
Awesome video. Should stash $10 in your quad or riding gear somewhere just in case.
Shame that they don't allow motorcycles on the trails. I guess they figure they'll tear the trail up? Or maybe ATV guys just don't like motorcycle guys, kinda like skiers don't like snowboarders and vice versa. That's some beautiful country, thanks for the video.
Yeah probably a little bit of both. Most other countries are changing the rules to allow street legal bikes since they do far less damage than most ATVs. Glad you enjoyed it!
What kind of camera you using on the front of your fourwheeler?
Insta360, I've got links for them and the mount in the video description.
What did you use for your GPS on your atv and how did you mount it?
It's a used Garmin Nuvi 40lm from ebay for about $20. I use action camera mounts and brackets. Works ok but is fiddly to make work right.
Clunky... it's a 1000 lb 4 wheeler :) you should have got a Raptor! Absolutely incredible fun!
Never ridden one of those but enjoyed my LTZ400 a lot when I had it. Hard to beat the comfort of the Sportsman though lol.
where do you work?
what is your cellphone/gps holder under the gauges?
It's actually just two sticky action camera mounts stuck to the gps and the dash.
You have almost 20k subs, where the eff is everyone?
hello!
what handguards and mirrors do you have?
Here's the affiliate links for them! (I make a commission off the sale if you purchase using the link). Handguards: www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/powermadd-sentinel-handguards-p/?ref=1042&
