Can't sue for the damages if you have no hard evidence. It could have been done by anyone, like ex herself, some of her friends, her father, who knows.

Should have listened to the story lol of course, she was cheating on him for 4 months twice a week with her ex. He left her and she vandalized his car, told everyone he beat her and had her dad attack him. 2 years later, he moved out of his house, losing the home he grew up in. He was finally able to tell his side of the story, but nobody cared and got a new girlfriend.

Yes, this. Never keep quiet. Never react impulsively and emotionally. Just put the facts out there first, immediately, because otherwise the cheaters will spin their own narrative and people tend to believe the first story they're told. It's just how human psychology works. If a person is shitty enough to cheat they are obviously also shitty enough to lie to throw an innocent person under the bus. Exactly. But of course its very easy to say when you look at it from an outside perspective. The amount of emotions occurring like a roller coaster will make many people make irrational decisions. If you have friends that say same as you it would be a good idea to call them immediately and have them help you being rational. Man this is some simpery crap, doing way to much. It was his house all he had to do was wait until she leaves and put all of her stuff outside and change the locks. He doesn't owe her nor her family ANY explanation at all. That's keeping a cool head and moving forward with your life, and if she "key his car" and "defamed" him then he should've put the LAWS in her life. Being a "bigger person" to modern women is asinine, and you will still lose like he did(renting his house out and moving away)

After many cases like this i have finally arrived to the conclusion that your have to expose a cheater and if possible get evidencie. If the cheater is spreding líes or is defaming you there Will be no forgiveness and first you show your teeth and after that your sue them and don't stop till they pay for their actions.

Something I would say, ignoring the rest of the story just to focus on the “her ex will always be the love of her life” bit people should keep in mind there are a lot of solid loving relationships that arrn’t necessarily the person’s first choice. The reality is inevitable not every “love of your life” is going to work out. Consider this, what if you are head over heels for someone but they break up with you? Or what if they pass away? Are you just never supposed to date or marry again unless you find someone who surpasses that? Are you just banned from dating? Even if you move on that doesn’t mean you can just completely forget those feelings but if that relationship ends you still have to move on. Then you meet someone new and you love them even if it’s not as over the moon as that previous relationship. That doesn’t make the jew relationship bad, it’s just how things go and it can still be a strong healthy relationship even if one or even both of you weren’t each other’s first choice.
All that said the cheating part is still awful is a whole different mess that should not ge excused. I just wanted to make the point that the reality is that it’s not necessarily the end of the world if you are not someones first choice provided you are still the one they are willing to love and spend their life faithfully with.
