Definitely empathize with OP for feeling bad for his daughter losing the relationship with her egg donor, but the silver lining is that she won't have someone in her life that does not want anything to do with her. Trust me that would have been so much more detrimental on her mental health.
The baby decided to solve the problem for them and just changed gender😂 P.s. So she was a cheater and gave the man an STI......yeah, glad OP got that divorce
This is definitely a combination of stories and very poorly edited. All of these pages are out here either making stuff up or mashing up existing stories.
You know Op's in-laws probably feel like they're the worst parents in the world. They raised two narcissist and if I were Op I would keep them at arms length.
Probably not. The defended their daughter's decision to naming the baby after their son. My might have the mentality of "my babies can did nothing wrong!" or "our daughter can change!". But who knows? Maybe they realized how shitty their parenting turned out to be. If I were them, I'd feel terrible.
I think he needs to be very vigilant so they dont try to spin this fairy tail about their daughter, creating this false expectations in that poor child's mind, but if they stay in their lane and are willing to be a positive presence on that childs life... The more the merrier.
"Hey you're named after your uncle. He was a drug addict that abused your mother and her family, and stole from us to fuel his habit. I didn't want you to live with that, but your mom threatened to divorce me if I didn't comply. So have fun with that legacy." Great mom.
*Me listening to how the husband doesn't want to name his child a certain* Okey he has some valid points *10 Secs later "My wife is cheating on me" HUH!?!?!?
When he says she came back a completely different person, she's either followed her brothers footsteps or she just figured out he was grey rocking her and did it back to him
I was kinda shook by most of this but the mother giving up rights to her daughter? WTF man, that's awful and I'm the most shook by that than anything else.
Acting like herpes is just nothing is delusional, she legit gave you something you’ll never ever get rid of and you could pass on to any future partner you have
Pretty sure that isn't what he truly felt but it was the nail in the coffin and he just shut down. Or he could of not wanted to talk to much in depth about it because he felt vulnerable
Op need to start working with a therapist to know the right way to broch the subject with his daughter once she starts asking. Also her parents need to be made clear that any conversation regarding the mother will be have only with him present and in no way making excuses for her behaviour (i know she distanced from her parents but who knows). If it had been me i would have been super petty and mean and tell her "you are no better than your good for nothing brother" then again that would sour the relationship with her parents and that poor kid will need all the support she can. What a trashy woman!
The wife was going to call the police over an argument over the name? What was she going to say? That should have been enough for a divorce right there.
Personally, I wouldn't let her unless she was willing to pay seventeen years of child support up front. Sure, talk with a lawyer, but chances are you'd get the same custody outcome, plus a better financial one if you opposed it. You'd still get custody and can move away. She'd still not see the kid and you'd wrack up a thousand or so a month. You don't even have to collect it. Then in five years when she has a $60k bill, then seek termination of parental rights while she still owes you that money.
s1: always nice to see a relationship work past difficult challenges like this. Naming the baby is hard s2: sounds like the wife felt baby trapped. Sad thing is she gave up on her best life, motherhood, at the time it took the most work and now gets to live an empty life of hedonism. That'll get old fast and now has no retreat as she gave away her parental rights

She will come back (In the next 5-10 years) begging for a relationship with her daughter.

Exactly my thought. With one son being an addict and the daughter being a cheater. That must be some parenting gone horribly wrong.

I think he was just emotionally spent at that point. Had no more energy to be any angrier at the situation.

OP should have his kid’s name changed, get a decent middle name and maybe even change the first name to something similar sounding but different.
