Really? I had to put it up to 1.75x speed and I'm still like... um... he's just saying words without telling me much about the um..um the bikes. How much time can we spend on the tiny windshield and the paint?
Wish I lived in Dallas so I could take my Ducati business to these guys... nice to hear a salesman talking about what their customers want for a change.
If you are any where close to the DFW area. Stop in and talk to this guy Marti. Very very knowledgeable about Ducati. He has been educating me for year’s. He is the best. I owe him a T52 just for taking his time with me. My favorite store. Great video.
I bought my 2019 797 from here. Great place to buy from awesome experience would definitely be back in the future! I added aftermarket exhaust and a quick shifter, and now it is perfect!
@@DrTranofEvil the monster is in my eyes one of the most comfortable bikes. If had the Yamaha FZ6 and FZ1 but the monster is way better. Okay with handling. Next week i will go for a trip approximately 1500km in 3days.😉
I do have to say that the design of the Monster is pretty amazing for keeping the wind out of your chest. Even at highway speeds, it isn't tiring like most naked upright bikes.
I always love and like any models of DUCATI Monster from the oldest models till the recent models. In Asia we even have older models Monster 400 1995..really fun to drive too...and the sounds...man...macho
After owning a Ducati with a 7500 mile service and having it run about $1500 I would spend the extra money for the 821 to stretch the service is out longer. That’s why I now own a 1200S also having the Adjustable suspension and the rider modes and rider aids are nice. I would recommend the 1200S I always buy larger more powerful bikes because you tend to grow into them. First bike was a 900SS super sport. Then a 1098 street fighter S. Now a 1200S. Next is gonna be a new street fighter in a few years.
Take the 821....it was my second Ducati and they are so easy to ride. A very forgiving bike. The 112 bhp is plenty, and the fact that you live in Dallas you might want to have a liquid cooled engine. I live in Europe and it’s not really hot here but the engine does produce some heat.
The 797 was redisgned in 2017 and the white model had a red treless frame and red wheels. Small details but to me it looked better than the 2019/20 version in this video where everything is blacked out.
The last good looking liquid cooled Monster was the S4 and S4R from 15 years ago. Even the air cooled Monsters are just too busy with emission plastics and plastic covers covering reg/rec, oil cooler and airbox shrouding parts of the motor. However, the 797 is still the prettiest of the bunch. IMO....
Excellent comparison video. I've just bought an 821 in yellow. Was good to see how it stacks up in the line up against the bigger 1200 and smaller 797. The 821 just seems the perfect level of daily performance and fun.
So I bought a monster as my second bike and I picked up a 797. I love the bike dong get me wrong but I do kinda wish I had picked up an 821. The 797 is a wonderful bike but it doesn’t preform how I wish an 803cc engine would. I also enjoy not having to deal with coolant but at the same time if it’s warm outside at stops I’ve had to physically get off the bike to keep my pants from burning. It’s a wonderful bike and if that’s all you can afford it’s a great bike.
I’m impressed! These videos you guys are putting out recently at ducati dallas are fantastic. Please do more! Could we do a detailed breakdown of the v2-v4 range line up? Plus hypermotard?
I've only just discovered Monsters, and have kinda fallen for the 821 Stealth, but good quality, informative videos are hard to find...this one certainly fixes that. Thanks!
I’ll have to get a ride on a 821. Been riding my 797+ for a couple of years now and really enjoyed it. Its always been a weekend ride for me, though would be interested to feel what the 821 is like. Thanks for the video.
Have to agree with below comment...Excellent info tucked into a fine presentation. Nice job. Looking now very closely to the 821 as first bike. Thank you.

Thank you so much for the Monster range breakdown! As a brand new rider, and a new owner of the 2020 Monster 659 (Australian Learner Model) based on the 797, I've been looking for weeks trying to understand some of the finer points of difference. It's actually been difficult to find written reviews and articles let alone videos that give such a clear and concise breakdown, so again thankyou! Two points that I think could have added to this video (but might have blown out your time if that was a factor) are, what if any is the difference in year models? I believed the current range started in 2018? Have there been any changes between the year models, or is a 2018 essentially the same as a 2020? Also the compatibility of those parts & accessories across the range. This information seems super difficult to find aside from part number catalogs. For instance is the 1200S seat, the same seat as the 797 and vice versa? Same for the seat cover panel? Essentially is it possible to upgrade the lower model with some of the parts & accessories from the higher models? Anyway great breakdown video, I'm loving my new Monster!
I bought a Ducati jacket from you guys a few years back online, but I wish Ducati have made those top-of-the-line jackets such as C5 non-perforated. It is cold up in the Northeast, even in summers you get chilly with perforated leather jackets.
