Totally agree. I loved my 797+ (it was white with a black trellis frame just like in this video) a lot for it's look but it wasn't as good from performance standpoint. It was heavy (maybe not as heavy on a paper as it feels in real life), a bit bulky and it used to have a stupidly narrow steering lock. Now I see they did a good job fixing what wasn't particularly good about that bike.

Very well said. Gave a good idea and philosophy behind the Monster range. I own a 94 Monster. And I am very excited about the 937. As long as they keep it light, simple and a L twin, it is a monster. It is like the 996 switched to water cooled flat 6 for better cooling and packaging. They cant just keep selling the old products to the existing fans. They need to sell to new customers to keep the product alive. For those must have a trellis frame, there are plenty on the used market.

Just saw the M937 in the flesh and I have to say even though it doesn’t have the iconic trellis frame it’s still a really beautiful looking bike. I really like the fact it’s slimmer, sleeker and lighter.
It is a pure cost reduction measure for Ducati and is a bolt on job. But lower weight is a nice benefit even though trellis frames a more of a art work. Dont forget that org monster was basically an air cooled ducati 851/888 that got replaced by 916/748 as Ducatis Sportbike.
I love the progression, I love my 2022 Multistrada V4s, but I don't understand this obsession with DRLs. They look cool in addition to your headlights, but it just seems wildly dangerous to have the headlight off during the day.

The headlight is not plug and play prior generations. It's an entirely new lighting system that is integrated into the TFT dash / electronics package on the bike.
Hopefully it will be a reliable bike. The one reason why I’m hesitant on getting one is because of electrical issues and not starting/bike shutting off. Other than that it’s a beautiful bike.
