Of course no grain. Unless you want to prevent your dog from starvation then feed them grains, under no other circumstances is grain beneficial for dogs.

💛 my DCM girl was in an FDA heart study , immediately the cardiologist veterinarian told us that if it was hereditary, DCM cannot be reversed, but if it’s caused by the food with the beans, legumes, chickpeas, P, protein, P powder, potato blah “ , the DCM could be reversed. I stopped immediately, feeding her the KIBBLE “ grain free “
Three months later, she was completely out of collapsed heart failure, and her heart has shrunk significantly back to normal size she has to stay on the vet, Medin for the rest of her life. Because of the damage done .
She’s 8 now and doing great on the BaRF diet

Is it possible to share studies or any reliable sources? While I absolutely agree that fresh whole foods are better than dried kibble, I cannot find reliable sources or studies that promote raw food or grain-free foods for dogs. For instance, a 2022 study by Kahraman et al. - Comparison of Digestibility, Stool Quality, Preference and
Manufacturing Cost of Grain-inclusive and Grain-free Dry Dog Foods - is pretty much inconclusive on the matter. It concludes that dogs preferred grain-free foods, but grain-inclusive diets had more fibre that helped with digestibiity.

Thank you for your videos! I’ve been watching all your training videos. They’re so helpful!
I just took my 11 week old Pomeranian to the vet today.
She said that I needed to feed him something with grain and gave me a print out of an article from Veterinary Partner. The article said he can get heart disease if I don’t feed kibble.
I’m currently feeding him The Farmers Dog, she didn’t approve of this. I’m going to continue to feed him farmers dog. He loves it!

Thank you so much Rachel for all the work and amazing videos you post, they go a long way and help many pet parents like us to learn about pet nutrition. I have been with you for quite some time and have learnt way more than I would have just from my vet who is very traditional and loves kibble. I was feeding my mixed lab Hill's D/D for about a year (from 1 year old to 2 years old) because he had liver inflammation that hopefully was overcome and the doctor wanted me to stay with it forever. After a lot of research I decided to change the kibble to Belcando mastercraft but again I am not entirely satisfied. If you find some time, my question is, Do you think Belcando Mastercraft is a good enough option? Or should I look into cooked food. My only issue is when he gets sick, I would like to have the option to cook to entice him to eat. If he eats cooked everyday then I wont have anything better to give.
Thank you so much for the amazing work.

As a newbie to researching the very best diet for my new Yorkue 12 week pup, im so happy to have found you Racgel, thank you❤.
However im in South Africa, we dont have all your name brands and then we have our own, im not fond of kibble, having got my pup been on mini Royal Canin. She really didnt seem to enioy eating much, and i didnt feel happy that this was a stable fully nutritioys diet at all.
Shes just had a bout of gastro so its boileed chicken, rice, i add some grated carrot and a few blueberries. To see her so excited to get her food bowl is magic, she sleeps well, and her popp seem to be returning to a good colour and consistency. Still on antibioits and have found that the best plain white yogurt and a bit of honey us great to get the antibiotic in, she lives it, obviously probiotic and natural healing honey.
Would you recommend slippery elm powder to add to her bowl?
    1. Slippery elm if only on a tummy upset? or
    2. Slippery elm randomly to ensure strong and healthy gut?
I wonder if anyone else can share some info or tips, would be greatly appreciated ❤
