Your designs and colors always speak to me! Interesting how you did that double drag on the first teardrop. I’m going to give that a try. Thanks for such a wonderful video.
Thank you for the lovely comment 🥰
Absolutely breathtaking. I watched the entire video and was overwhelmed with the outcome. Thank you so much, I know how hard it must be to work around a camera and talking us and showing us through the entire process.
Aww thank you Denise 🥰🥰🥰
I loved following along and learning from you Susan. I too can’t wait to clean mine up
And get it on the wall. Thank you! Thank you!

I am working along with you and mine is going to look as awesome as yours but I am learning to do bigger projects. I love to watch you do it.
Thank you so much for sharing, I just ordered the 60 Arteza , and the metallic set. I haven't actually started a project, yet! You have inspired me to start soon.
Thank you from Alberta.
Sounds like your all set to start your dotting addiction 🥰
Beautiful mandala💕❣
Your colors are so vibrant. Spacing is definitely my challenge, but like you showed, I am learning to make the adjustments knowing it usually gets lost in the overall design. I very much appreciate your videos and I love that you completely show the whole process. Thank you!
Thank you Darlene.I’m glad you are enjoying the video 🥰
Oohhh prettiest
Love this so pretty
Wow!! Ty for this real time tutorial Susan!!
This is so beautiful! And I have these paints and haven’t used them much, can’t wait to start on this!

Most welcome Suzanne 🥰
Wow!! Another beauty! I'm so glad you use Arteza paints and DIY tools, and show it in real time. Happy to see the tool size and colour on the screen for a bit longer this time, thank you. I'm starting this afternoon, it will be a real challenge for me.
Thank you Liz. It’s not bad if you just go step by step and take breaks 🥰
That's amazing and beautiful I'm going to try it
Stunning work. Thank you. The paints I dont have, but will make do. I love your technique.
Thank you so much 🥰
So beautiful !
Thank you so much 🥰
Thank you. Great tutorial! You are the best
Aww thank you ! I’ll glad your enjoying them :)
I meant to say mine is NOT going to look as awesome as yours Susan. I love your paintings.
That purple and gold honnêtes are pretty
I love it!
Thank you Corina! Thxs for subscribing too 🥰
Susan, thank you very much for sharing. I wish that other advanced dot artists would share as you have. As for what your “Touch up black” has done, I have ran into that with canvas as well.. I have had that darn results when I have only used quality black with either satin or Matt black. Also with & without prepping canvas with gesso… So I must add just as you, if anyone has mastered a way for the touch up not to show up as a patch, please advise… btw Susan, this particular piece is just Fabulous. I applaud. Again, thank you for a actual dotting tutorial.
Thank you so much Patty! I think I might have opened a new bottle and coming from a new container may have done that . And it’s good for me to hear I’m not the only one! I try to fan it out if I remember lol
Ww wow wow Amazon love thé purple
Muito lindo! 👏
I was hoping to see how you clean the white marks.
I just use a damp cloth that is lint free. I have a few from my eyeglass cases. You could also use a damp cotton swab.
Hint, first dot for larger dot. Use a smaller size will give you a better center
Guide for large dot. Thought I'd share
As it was passed to me. Great video
Thank you :) when I first started dotting I would do that as well. Big dots are easy to mess up and any tips are always welcome 🥰
I absolutely love love this design! I also love how you make your dots so poofie! May I use this design for my own use? I'd love to try to achieve it. All of your designs are exquisite. Like all of them.
Thank you Nancy.
Yes of course you may make and sell you creations :)
All I restrict is if someone makes a pattern copy (written or digital ) and sells my designs .
@@SusanNelsonCreations Awesome! Thank you so much. Your videos help keep anxiety levels down. OH, I had another question: I mostly use DecoArt Americana paints. Should I invest in Arteza, too? The paint consistency looks great for dotting.
@@nancy9704 well I really can’t advise you what you “should buy” but I can say the pearl metallic set is amazing to use. Love the depth and shine. You will need to get a pouring medium to go with them if you decide you want to try them.
Gorfeous
I am new to dotting & absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE ur work! So beautiful!! Is there any way u could also put which numbers go w the paints? Sometimes I only have the paint # & not the name. Thank u for posting ur work. Ur one of the reasons I love dot painting soooo much! Thank u!!
Hi Lisa!
I use a variety of paints in my tutorials most of which are just names.
But recently Arteza has changed from names to numbers so I will be doing both in my future videos of i use arteza.
Thanks again 🥰
Just found your channel. Where do you find the wood boards for your project and what proportion of thinner medium do you use?
I got this board from Michaels I’m CA. You can find them at most craft stores or on Amazon.
I have a tutorial on mixing heavy bodied paints. It’s down in my list . About 50/50 but start with less . Also depends on the product
Words cannot describe how beautiful this piece is! Incredible art Susan! I would like to try this on one of my larger stones (6-7”). However I always get confused when scaling down. Any advice would be much appreciated. Is it too simplistic to just cut all sizes in half when possible?
I usually look careful at the overall look. Then I start with the first two…if it’s a six , 12 I just make sure the dots fit in. As I build I keep looking at my tool size and see if it will fit like the picture. So it’s not really looking at the actual number :)
Hard to explain …just a lot of placing your tool with no paint to see if it will fit like the pic :)
@@SusanNelsonCreations Thank you Susan! Very helpful.
Worlds canto descreve hoje beautiful tais piece os! Incredible até Susan o would
aquí en sur américa no entendemos o yo por lo menos su idioma , no , nos sirve . lamento que RUclips, no se de cuenta de esto . no entendemos nada . sería bueno una traducción gracias
What medium do you mix with the Arteza metallic paints to thin them out?
I use Liquitex pouring medium and sometimes a bit of flow aid as well.
Gourmets commercialisés ère sont pretty
I often lose the grid lines as I'm going along.
How to buy this watercolors?
Hello Susan. I Can not find those stencils in Costa Rica. Could you Tell me the dimensions in centimeters between each cicles?. Thank you very much. Beautiful design ❤
Thank you!
It is one inch spacing between each circle .
Have fun dotting 🥰
Thank you very much for your advice. A big hug
Aloha Susan. I would like to use a 5 1/2” stone to make this. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Wow that’s a big reduction. I’d just recreate it from the photo. I find that easier than worrying about tool sizes . 🥰
Yes. Makes perfect sense. Thank you. @@SusanNelsonCreations

Can you share the link of the dotting tool of large size
I put all the links in the video description . DIY Mandala Stone is on Etsy.
Добрый день! Почему на вашем канале недоступны субтитры?
I have gone through my videos and checked for this and can’t see why you can’t pick the language you want. I have able to change subtitles when I view it by clicking the three little dots.
But I will look again.
Sorry I am just an artist wanting to share my art form and don’t get paid in anyway, also having disabilities makes it hard to spend to much time at a computer.
OK I found out why RUclips did not allow Captions. They don't do it on longer videos. I went back and all my settings are correct it is just that the video is too long. If you look at my shorter videos they are there to use.
