    As always, such a brilliant video! Usually, in the reviews we hear only the positives, but this man presents the things the way they truely are in a very precise and professional manner. This video is very useful, and unlike the rest of the other videos, which in most cases are unnecessary promotion, from it you can gain a real manifest of the product and all in all to decide whether or not to spend money on it.

    Awesome review, I own the OneBlade Pro and I am very happy with the results, but I also only use it to trim my 3 day beard (somewhere between 4-6mm). I could imagine that it has trouble dealing with longer and thicker hair like you have.

    • @GroomReviews
      @GroomReviews  5 лет назад +5

      Hi, Kilian. Thanks so much for the positive feedback. I greatly appreciate it. Yes, you are correct. The Oneblade Pro worked fine going through my shorter length hair, but as you could see in the video, once I hit the thicker patch it stopped dead in its tracks. If you take your OneBlade and just look at the size of the tiny cutting blades on it, you start to understand it's blades are not in the same league as the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 or Wahl Lithium Ion Plus for trimming a larger beard. I really wanted to like this product, but, unfortunately, it did not get the job done. On this channel, I am always honest with the GroomReviews community. I'm not going to like every product I test. The OneBlade is a decent product, but this particular OneBlade "Pro," which is the version intended for a beard, should never have as much difficulty as I had going in for a simple trim of the goatee. Again, I want to thank you for your positive comment. Thanks for watching!

      Do you know If it is possible to put the bodyblades onto the OneBlade Pro?

      Hi, Kilian. According to Philips specification sheet for the OneBlade Face, OneBlade Face and Body, and OneBlade Pro, each of these OneBlade models are compliant with replacement blade models QP210, QP220, QP610 and QP620. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!

    I have been searching for honest reviews for Face Trimmers + Body Groom Trimmers and I have found your videos to be notches above the rest. You have done an amazing work!
    I generally don't write reviews but you deserved to be mentioned for your good work.
    As I have less time and its hard to find honest reviews on YT - Can you please suggest me something for Body Grooming/Manscaping for groin parts?
    After seeing your video I feel that Norelco 7000 is best for my face and hence searching for the under the neck area.
    Cheers!

    perfect review thanks. I was wondering if I should get the multigroom 7000 or oneblade pro for the exact same usecase. You made me decide on the 7000. However I believe that the oneblades usecase is getting a close shave and not trimming like we two intend to use it for.

    Hi, I know this is a quite old video and I'm not even sure I'll ever get a reply, but anyway I'll try: since instead of the OneBlade Pro you recommended the Multigroom 7000, how does the latter perform in shaving the neck compared to the OneBlade? I'm looking for a beard trimmer that is able to shave my neck (where I have very sensitive skin) nearly to zero. I can't use traditional razor blades because they irritate my skin too much. Thanks

    I’m looking for a new trimmer. I’ve been using the Wahl Peanuts, but it doesn’t seem like it gets a nice even cut. I was about to pull the trigger on the one blade but after this review I’m not so sure.
    What would you recommend as the best trimmer for someone who keeps their beard as “long stubble”. Also would I see a difference in upgrading from the peanuts?

    • @GroomReviews
      @GroomReviews  5 лет назад +1

      Hi, Black 13.
      Personally, I think the cutting blades are too small on the OneBlade. I think it's best to have a powerful device, with sharp blades that can make it through any thickness of hair. For that reason, I like the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000. From the products that I have reviewed to-date, the Multigroom 7000 is the best all-around performer on the beard based on its quality and range of attachments. In your case, it comes with stubble guards as low as 1mm and you should have no issue with your long stubble.
      Additionally, I like the foil shaver of the Multigroom 7000, which helps work away at stubble to a smooth finish and the guards are all reinforced to prevent bending or breaking. Furthermore, the Multigroom 7000 includes a 32mm metal trimmer attachment in addition to a T-Blade metal trimmer attachment, which works well on hair and neck lines.
      It currently sits at a price of around $59 on Amazon and can be seen in my video review here: ruclips.net/video/eFn0Si1Bmyc/видео.html
      That said, I just posted a video today for a Giveaway of this Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 here: ruclips.net/video/56Ke-gVTjqI/видео.html . As long as you are a US resident, age 18+ and follow the steps in the video, you will be eligible to Win.
      Thanks for watching and for your support! Good Luck!

    Debating between getting this or the Multigroom series 7000... Thoughts?

    • @GroomReviews
      @GroomReviews  5 лет назад +4

      Hi, Sanjeev. In my opinion, the Philips Norelco Multigroom 7000 MG7750 (amzn.to/2TkEiIpis) is far superior to the OneBlade Pro. For it's price and what you get out of it, I have found it to be at the top of the beard trimmers I have reviewed to-date. If you haven't already, I recommend taking a look at my video for the Multigroom 7000 seen here: ruclips.net/video/eFn0Si1Bmyc/видео.html. If you're looking for a beard trimmer that has smaller increment settings for really working on that stubble look you are trying to achieve, then I would recommend taking a look at my video on the Philips Norelco Beard Trimmer 5500 vs Series 5100 seen here: ruclips.net/video/aSEF_AOenW8/видео.html. Both these trimmers are almost identical in the features, however, the 5500 is the latest version in the 5000 series. Depending on the best deal out there for the Beard Trimmer 5500 (amzn.to/2Krd0wX) or Series 5100 (amzn.to/2YWnoB9), you won't go wrong going with either one. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching and being a member of the GroomReviews community! All the best!

    I'm starting to trim & edging my beard and mustache at home, It's too much for me to go to the barber every three or two weeks. I'll start with Philips Norelco 5100 , I think it's perfect. Do you have any advice in general ? I'm really nervous that I would fu*k things up !

    • @GroomReviews
      @GroomReviews  6 лет назад +6

      Hi, sa340x. Thanks for your question. I hear ya. With constant barber visits, you will definitely save money purchasing a trimmer. Before you begin using the Philips Norelco 5100, you might want to check out one of my past videos where I use this trimmer. In this video I use the Multigroom 5100: ruclips.net/video/BMGP1IkM-qo/видео.html. Not sure if this is the same model you have or if you have the Series 5100, but in any case, I would take a look.
      First off, remember that it's OK to take your time and go slow. After more experience, your trim time will speed up, but since this is your first time with this trimmer, you want to gain a feel and level of comfort with how it works and moves in your hand before diving right in.
      That said, with the beard comb attachments, I always suggest setting the beard comb to the highest setting and trimming with the grain (top/down). This is my safest way to trim and the method I use when trimming. You can see the hair on your face as it falls naturally, as opposed to lifting the hair up against the grain, where you can possible cut off more than you intended. With this method, make a pass and see/listen if anything cuts. If it doesn't cut or doesn't cut enough, continue moving down in comb settings, until you reach a level that cuts and you are comfortable with. Then, continue along the rest of this beard at this setting. This same method can be used along the mustache.
      Additionally, for the neck line, see if there is a line of lighter/thicker hair where the barber last cut. If so, this is a good line to follow along to create a similar even trim under the neck. If you can't see a previous line, then start lower on the neck than you want to end up and test out a pass around. If it looks good, then move up the neck to the level you want.
      Overall, don't be nervous. Just go in with a general plan of what you want to do and take your time to execute it.
      Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, let me know. Thanks for watching and Good Luck!

      Of course I watched that video before, this is why I bought the 5100. They have the same of everything.
      Thank you for the advice, and I'll work on it. Cross fingers, lol.

    Is it better too shave down n up or up and down?

    • @GroomReviews
      @GroomReviews  5 лет назад +3

      Hi, Lee Jevons. With the Philips Norelco OneBlade Pro Hybrid Styler seen in this video, it is designed for trimming from the bottom up. Based on hand positioning and design of the trimmer and beard comb attachment, this is the direction this particular device works best.
      If you take a look at several of my other trimmer reviews, you will see that my preferred method is to go from the top down. By doing so, I'm trimming in the direction the way the beard hairs fall on my face and don't have to lift them up from going bottom up. With this technique, I find I'm better able to control the amount of hair that is trimmed.
      If new to beard trimming and cautious of trimming too much hair, I always suggest starting with the highest length guard setting and slowly working your way down through the guards until you find the guard length that works best for the look you want to achieve. With this method, you won't risk cutting off more than intended.
      Thanks for watching and being a member of the GroomReviews community! All the best!
