Teen mother here. I had my daughter at 16; she's 26 now. At the beginning of every school year, I met in person with her teachers to let them know I was available whenever they needed me to be and that her job was to come to school to learn NOT be a hinderance/distraction to others nor be disrespectful to them (the teacher). I wasn't having none of that foolishness from her at school. She was raised to say "sir/ma'am" when addressing elders, speak when spoken to, etc. We have a great relationship, talk everyday and all but she knows my primary concern has always been providing structure and guidance in order for her to be a successful, productive member of society...Not trying to be her bestie.

I'm 66, and both parents are gone. I still won't do anything that will disrespect them. I represented my parents, and my son represents me. The problem is the children don't respect their parents, because the parents don't respect themselves.

Love you Q......on the kid slapping teacher incident, I think they need to bring charges against parents as well. That will deter a lot of this disrespectfulness. The curriculum also needs to be looked at as well. Kids act out due to lack of educational tools being accessible to them. They feel inadequate with nothing to lose. It's a shame 😔

I don’t agree with the ‘age gap’ philosophy & here’s why, because women have been bearing children at (very) young ages since the beginning of time, essentially. Some of these kids are out of control because the parent is not healed from their own childhood trauma.

Facts . My great grandma unfortunately had her first child at 13 and was an amazing mom, grandma etc. I feel the real problem is we don’t have elders anymore. Nowadays grandparents don’t even want to be grandma or grandpa. The 50 and 60 year olds are still dressing and doing what the 20 year olds are doing.

Most chain restaurants don’t cook the food in house anymore. They ship to the restaurant pre cooked and have cooks, not chefs reheat the food. Red Lobster use to have chefs cooking all the food in the kitchen. This is why Houston’s is a chain restaurant but the food is still good. If the restaurant doesn’t have an open view into the kitchen, they r not cooking the food and I don’t want it.
I think my biggest issue with how people are telling Diddy stories is that it has become more about him being gay/bisexual rather than it being about him being a predator and abusing his money and power. The black community takes way too much pleasure in exposing someone for being gay.

I will say this with regard to the parenting. We no longer have a “stay in a child’s place” rules. There was a video floating around where adults were having a “adult conversation” and the lady turned to the child and was like “hey baby this is grown folks talk you should go inside!” The child started to argue with the adult and the mother was like “my child can sit there if she wants!” 😮

That’s what I always say! I’m an AC type of bish. My stepdad tells me about a good job at a warehouse, I said unh unh they don’t have ac. I worked at a linen company they told me “AC wasn’t feasible” after 3 weeks I asked my husband if I had to go back. Shortest job of my life. Never did a warehouse job again 😂

I agree with you Q on the WNBA. Women aren’t supporting it, yet complain that the athletes aren’t being paid the same. Most of the NBA players salary comes from TV and ticket sale revenues. And many/most women do not watch a lot of sports. We prefer Reality TV, movies and dramas for our entertainment. So it’s unfortunate, because the WNBA athletes work hard, but their paycheck is based on entertainment spending.
