Can I Beat a Nuzlocke of My Own Pokemon Game?

Attempting a nuzlocke of a Pokemon game I designed!
Rules:
1. I can only catch the first Pokemon I encounter in each area
2. Fainted Pokemon are permanently dead
3. Each Gym leader has a level cap that my Pokemon cannot surpass
4. Set battle style only
5. Held items in battle only
