As an aspiring composer, 16k views shocked me already :0 Super glad that I live in the era which indie musicians can easily share their music to the world!!! Super thanks for your kind words :D
Thank you for liking my music! Usually I listen to music from all kinds, think about what and why I like or dislike them, and slowly I find myself starting to create things that sound good to my ears!
So much of this reminds me of Johnny Costa. He played the piano on Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. I highly recommend listening to his COsta Plays Gershwin album. Some very similar compositional choices here!
Oh!! Super thanks for the recommendation, and I will definitely give it a listen!! Feel free to share more on the music/ albums you like. It's always nice to see people talk about nice music :D
i’m not sure what type of music mixes short jolly notes with dramatic ones, but i’m loving it 🔥 i can just safely say i never heard anything like this, it’s awesome
Thanks for liking it! That's exactly why it's so much fun to write music - try to think from a different perspective and make some noise - then that makes a joyful day, no matter if the music written is a sad one, an angry one, or a happy one :D
this is the type of music we should be giving more recognition replies to every single comment, which shows a lot of dedication I hope this someday gets the coverage it deserves the captions are a fun addition btw I will definitely keep following along, so glad I discovered this would love to see somebody perform this live also all around amazing composition
I thought no one read the caption so I was thinking about stop writing captions :0 I guess I should keep writing it then :D And thanks for the heartwarming words! Recently I'm a bit burnt out because of my day job but you comment makes my day! Unfortunately some part of this composition seems to be quite impractical for pianists so I guess the chance of seeing a live performance of this piece will be super low ;)
i liked this, and you inspire me to actually try to make music because i feel like i suck at it more than i should but i just gotta keep learning and trying, thank you
Seems it's normal to make something that we don't like because most of the time, our art tastes are way beyond our skills! So just keep doing it, and one day, we will have the ability to re-create what's in our head and show them to others!!!!
This is genuinely amazing, I play piano and would love to learn some of the songs you write. Me personally I find it hard to do the running sections but keep up the amazing work!
Wow!! I never imagined my compositions to be played by real musicians! My bad for not thinking about if it's practical or not for this piece ;) But I'm posting another simpler piano solo track after Halloween! That's way more practical!!! Speaking of this, do you think if it's a good idea to release music sheets (pdfs)? Please lemme know your thoughts on this!
Oh my goodness. This is beautiful. Such a calm, and hopeful piece! What a delight to listen to, this is really good. I'm feeling inspired to make something from it, thank you!
Super thanks for liking my music! I didn't imagine that one day my music will have the potential to inspire others!!! If you don't mind, please tell me if you post it online after finishing it - I look forward to seeing the outcome :D
when you listened to the great soundtracks for so many times and write something similar unconsciously :,) Since then, I tried harder to avoid this from happening again...
I would leave it rubato, take out the quantizing, only drag or tidy some parts if needed to, it would sound great! only quantize it like this, if you're planning of producing the music sheets.
Thank you very much for the advice! Actually, I want to do that too, but I'm not so good at piano so I can't play convincing rubato🥲 That's why I usually quantize everything and add more tempo automation afterward... I'm a flute player and now I'm also learning how to play the piano. Do you mind giving me advice on how to practice piano efficiently?
There are parts that are really close to a NieR song (or motif, since it appears in more than one song). Great taste if it was intentional. Ashes of Dreams is the main one.
Have you heard Nier Replicant OST?, there are chords that remember me of Ashes of Dream and if not i would recommend you to listen, i really enjoyed your music, keep going!
OMG I have been listening Nier's OST (both Replicant & Automata) for years! I usually write what I heard in my head so maybe I came up with similar chords unconsciously :0 Anyway, thanks for your support!!
I usually brainstorm for a general idea that I wanna experiment in a new composition, then imagine how the music evolves in my head, without touching any instruments or my computer. After that I'll do some sketching (mainly chords and melody) with piano and make it into a complete idea later on :)
Thanks for your comment! Some other guys talked about this too, and I believe the similarity probably comes from the motif used in the first few lines of Ashes of Dreams, so as theme A of this composition... I guess that's what could easily happen when I follow too much to the sound I heard in my head. So since then, I modified my workflow quite a lot, in order to focus more on originality 🥹
Unfortunately, I never use fl studio before haha but I guess I can share some methods on how I come up with musical ideas when I'm like running out of ideas. I usually think about melodic contour (shape of the melody in other words) first - does the tune stays flat, does it go upward or downward...Or does it go up first then go down..etc. And I do the similar thing for pianistic writing because I'm far from a solid piano player (ノДT) Anyway I hope this helps :)
Hey I've updated my channel profile so you can now find my email there. If this still don't work, maybe you can leave your email here so I can contact you through email. If neither ways work, I'm planning to setup a page where I'll upload some of the audio and midi files of my work as some people are asking for them, which I'll add to my channel description and video description later on. I'll post the announcement in the community page by the time. (But the page won't be ready very soon because I'm a bit busy at this moment...Hope you can understand!)

@@TYMusic217 honestly recently it has been that way for me too. really like just playing something on a midi keyboard and recording it into a software like logic pro (at school cuz ion got a mac yet)
Yes! And I compose faster with a daw, than using notation software. But I'd prefer notation softwares when I'm learning music theory or doing music analysis :)
Bro casually drops the greatest composition and only gets 16K views???? Need more recognition for this man/woman/unsure/idk.

The first parts is like an elegant tap dance, Absolute beautiful!
Glad that you like it :)
that chord at 0:28 was beautiful
Thanks man!
tym; a word for "that" in polish, used for the locative and instrumental cases for neuter and masculine targets
interesting :0 Are you from Poland?
@@TYMusic217 nah, just learning polish cuz great grandparents were from poland + polish cool
Sounds both sleepy, groovy, and CHRISTMAS-y!
Maybe that's why there are too many thoughts in my head :0
Very nice to help keep the thoughts nice.

Absolute beautiful!
Thanks for liking my music :D
Holy guacamole, the dynamics in this are off the rail, really good at building atmosphere as well. Its really beautiful 😊

It reminds me Justin Hurwitz - Audition (The Fools Who Dream) from La-La Land
Thanks for reminding me that this movie has been on my movie-to-watch list for years :0
❤
Thanks ❤️
Very free this composition is. I like it makes you go places fr
Thanks for liking it!! It's fun to experiment with different possibilities in music :D
@TYMusic217 totally agree with you there. Experimenting often leads to great sounding accidents

i gotta learn some jazz music theory, this sounds insane :0 love it!!!
I started digging into jazz theory recently too! (with some classical theory background) It's mind-blowing :0 Anyway, thanks for liking my music :D
I felt this. Good
Thanks :)

OK, I'm gonna make a piano piece Right Now.
(I'm heavily inspired by this work of art.)
Wow!! I never thought that my music will inspire others! Can't wait to see your work, bro!
1:56 Hungarian Rhapsody vibes idk why I just remembered the scene from Tom & Jerry
Maybe because this kind of transitions is quite common in classical music 🤔
damn.
:0
Sounds like NieR in the beginning 😮

1:24 is a nice chord
I guess I was inspired by traditional Japanese music for this chord or this kind of sounds🤔 Anyway, glad that you like it!
Somebody likes NieR, huh? This sounds like Ashes of Dreams.
Yep I like Nier's soundtracks, but for this one, I did this unintentionally because I didn't realize that until another guy pointed this out QAQ
Its kinda ye, sounds alike! good ear
Start of the song kind of sounded like Sweden from Minecraft
Oh I never listen to this track before! Maybe I should give it a listen :0
Nice
Thanks :D

I use Cubase! Hope this helps :)

They are strikingly similar
