That’s called Cedar Point-opoly and you can buy it in the park or on Cedar Point’s online store

I saw the thumbnail and thought of the actual Cedar Point Monopoly. Also, great video.

Honestly, this is why I feel the best investment CF could make for Kings Island would be a on site resort like breakers.
Kings Island pulls in CP levels attendance, and is alongside two major interstates.
Make it a casino resort (casinos are booming in Cincinnati) and you could get year round revenue.

Former WDW CM here. Based on that 1st hand experience I am confident in vouching for both the theory and formula of keeping guests as "trapped" as possible for as long as possible. I see a day when CP oozes its environs well onshore (and off).
Imagine the causeway used only by parking trams, under an APM guideway, alongside 2-4 hyperloop-style tubes, all leading from the mainside to different entrances of the park. Mainside becomes parking decks for CP and an entertainment district built towards Downtown Sandusky.
Imagine a retired cruise ship permanently moored offshore, accessible via boat launches, for employee housing.
Then realize ALL the real estate on the peninsula you just opened up with those decisions. You want a 3 mile long GCI woodie? There's the land.

I definitely agree with this idea. Parking should be off peninsula. Make a downtown Disney like area with parking where Castaway Bay and the neighboring hotel that has been turned into dorms.

While that'd be good to open up land, I don't see them moving the parking off site at least for a while. They still have enough space to build new attractions for example, they have older not popular rides that could be demolished to make way for something bigger (ie Wicked Twister, Snake River Falls, Gemini, Corkscrew, etc). However, I do like the idea of an entertainment district on the mainland, but I think it would be located more by the Thirsty Pony and some of the larger off site hotels and not downtown Sandusky.

There was also Sandcastle Suites for a while. Carowinds hotel is built. Wonderlands hotel is currently in development hell. There is also Kings Island campground. This is one of your best videos

Cedar Fair doesn't physically own Camp Cedar. All they are doing is managing it.

One park that needs a hotel close by is a few hrs south at Kings island. That would be a great source of revenue espically when the park closed for the year or day. Yes they just built the cabins but a hotel be better u can get more in Amd make more money

Amusement parks which close down for the winter months need additional creative revenue sources.
Hotels provide year-around revenue streams. Herschend Family Entertainment is building resorts at Dollywood. They've had a campground near Silver Dollar City since the early 70s.
Lagoon out in Utah got creative during the Covid while the park was closed.....they opened their park's main restaurant and sold some of the park's featured and most favorite foods as carry-out.
More parks are opening up on-line stores where you can buy merch year around. Parks that choose to NOT do these things are leaving money in their fan bases' pockets.
i know that I proudly buy a cinnamon bread kit from SDC and some scented candles whenever I get the chance since I can't drive the 4 hours; one way, ever other couple of weeks just to buy cinnamon bread. LOL

2:31 wow that’s cunning that Cedar Point only give you the option to get out there by boat or fairy just so their customer base completely had to rely on them and had no choice to buy all of here amenities. And everybody complains about Disney being manipulative! Lmao 😂 Cedar Point just took it to a whole other level! trap everybody on an island! 🏝 😆 And force them to buy our shit!

Seeing how cedar fair acquired the lands for other companies to build their hotels like with Canada's wonderland & Carowinds, I can see king's Island adding a hotel to their lineup soon. In fact, it could happen next year for their 50th anniversary.

The causeway may not have been built until 1959, but you did have the Chaussee that opened in 1911 so you were not totally dependent on Cedar Pointe as you could leave.

Your forgetting about the chaussee it allowed vehicles to get to CP by car starting in 1914.

Seems 6-flags threw in the towel years ago, even tried to buy Cedar Fair. I love how classy Cedar Fair runs their parks, compared with the 6 flags trash.

"Good "or "nice rooms " are relative terms Sandusky is a swamp you have somewhere dry that is a nice place
