One of the most annoying things in the world is when people tell you that you can't be suicidal or depressed because someone out there has it worse, they always fail to understand that it's a mental *illness* and illnesses don't care if you're rich, poor, attractive, unattractive, black,white,old,young,etc. It can get you at any time, sure I probably have a great life, have tons of friends and family, have a great job, have a roof over my head, but I'm not happy haven't been truly happy since probably 2008 already been hospitalized multiple times and have made attempts on my life 6 times, but no amount of meds or therapy can make me feel any different, the fact of the matter is I don't want to live, there's nothing for me here, I don't want to leave behind my Puppy, and I know my friends and family would be devastated especially my younger Brother, but why can't I just let go? Why can't I just once make a selfish decision? To quote Pantera "why would you help anyone who doesn't want it, doesn't need it, doesn't want your shit advice? When a minds made up to go ahead and die, what's done is done so why cry? " doubt anyone will read this long ass comment but I just felt like writing it so just ignore it if you want.

I’m very sorry that you feel hopeless. I’ve also been through different medications and therapies but they haven’t helped me to the extent which I wanted them to. It's not always easy, I know..life is a fight and I realize now, at 51 years, that if we surround ourselves with positive people, chances are, it'll rub off on us... negative people are going to drag us further down. Although, for me, I like listening to depressing songs because it's exactly how I feel... alone, where no one understands. Especially because being around "positive" people makes me feel better, but I like being alone, in my own world...not such a good thing. I totally feel your struggle, I struggle to, I have friends and family but they just don't know how I feel. The tell me others have it worse but I can't possibly imagine. Within 4 months of time I lost 2 of my friends, one was suicidal (she listened to this song) and the other died in an unfortunate car accident. No one truly knows how I feel and I can't tell people how I really feel. It's hurting and I am in pain but not physically but mentally. And it is different for everyone, and sometimes I do really want to be so 'selfish' enough to end it.
If only suicide was an actual answer, it's hard to keep living a mundane life that you never wanted to have in the first place. The hardest part is living for others and not for yourself.

Welcome to my life. I have been suicidal since I was in the 5th grade, which I was around the age of 10. I hate this feeling and I wish that it would go away, but you know, with the things that happen in my life, I doubt that would ever go away.

What I'm trying to say is, it doesn't matter what it is, you can expound on it. I know a guy that had no legs and no hands. He didn't give up. He ended up touring the country, getting married, having a kid, etc. No one thought he could do all those things, but he really lives everyday of his life, guiding people, helping them to discover who they are, inside. There are no real limits in this world, at least, not if you look outside the little place you keep yourself captured.

This song has such a strong message. There are so many of us that can relate to this song at some point in our life and all walks of life can relate. For me it is when my ex-wife took my daughter from me and kept making up lies just to hurt me. I fought so hard in and out of court. It was so expensive and going to court so many times has cost me more than money. it cost me a few jobs missing so much work going to court, the unbearable amount of stress from all of that and the pain of missing my favorite little person in the whole world! I use to hold a gun in one hand and a picture of my daughter in the other... The thought of my daughter never seeing her dad again made me stay strong. We all handle pain in very different ways none of us are built the same. Nobody can understand the pains we deal with as an individual. The only advice I can give is, Try to find just one thing that makes life worth living and hold on to that. For me it's a struggle every day.
Reading these comments, Im thinking that its good people can see other people who are having the same experiences and feelings. When I was younger I had family issues and other painful things going on. Situations and feelings can and do change. Please hang in there. There are people who care.
You have to find the something you're supposed to learn and understand. We all crave peace, but this world is a learning experience, one we are doomed to repeat, unless you learn what you need to learn and do what you're sent here to do. It's not easy, but it has to be done. Think of it as a school! Learn all you can, then help others to learn the same.

It could be anuthing. Once you find it, you have to stretch it out, so to speak,so that it really engulfs you. That's called passion! You take that passion and you make it grow in a productive way. I know a person who really enjoyed telling others what to do .So, she became a principal, hehe. She got to do that everyday, and it made her feel good about herself...like she was making a difference.

I love this song and honestly I've tried so many times to go through with suicide but I can never do it because I always start thinking about how much I would hurt the few people that actually do care about me. I don't want my nephews to grow up thinking that suicide is the answer to escaping pain because it's not. Life is hard but I think it's worth it in the better moments...To see my nephews grow up is the only thing I got.

Tina, there are always solutions to every problem and we all go through things like that, believe it or not. especially during our teen years. But, as you get older, that feeling tends to change. Don't worry about making everyone miserable. They will figure it out for themselves. People will come and go, and although it may appear that they are blaming you for their difficulties, everyone is responsible for their own problems in life. I help others, I always do. I never give up on people, Never! I just have given up on myself. You cant say the same for everyone. Some people just cant movr on. Its not that they haven't tried, its that they just cant. Some people are just born too die.

I love this song and honestly I've tried so many times to go through with suicide but I can never do it because I always start thinking about how much I would hurt the few people that actually do care about me. I don't want my nephews to grow up thinking that suicide is the answer to escaping pain because it's not. Life is hard but I think it's worth it in the better moments...To see my nephews grow up is the only thing I got.
I can't fucking take it anymore. 6 years of being completely alone. 6 years of being ignored. Not a single personne interested in me. I don't understand because i hide my extreme solitude. I hide my depression. Faking a happy life so i would bring people to me i became just a fucking empty shell. I'm here talking to fucking youtube. What am i gonna do? No friends no love no family no one. Literally no one. How can one say, suicide isn't the answer when people completely ignore you whatever you do? I need help i need affection i cant do it alone.

idk if you're serious, but trust me life sucks sometimes... it will get better! my moms in the hospital with failing kidneys and I hate my job, literally have NO friends cuz I moved 3000 miles away from home with my mom.who is possibly going to die. as much as I hate life I would never kill myself. smile and know you are a gift to the world

Tina, there are always solutions to every problem and we all go through things like that, believe it or not. especially during our teen years. But, as you get older, that feeling tends to change. Don't worry about making everyone miserable. They will figure it out for themselves. People will come and go, and although it may appear that they are blaming you for their difficulties, everyone is responsible for their own problems in life. I help others, I always do. I never give up on people, Never! I just have given up on myself. You cant say the same for everyone. Some people just cant movr on. Its not that they haven't tried, its that they just cant. Some people are just born too die.

Being so young I can relate, my body is scared and telling my parents I'm fine is good enough for them still after 6 years of saying it, only my boyfriend knows I'm suicidal though I am sad, I know I'll over come it, though it's hard

It's kind of like school, Gasai.It's difficult, but when you get through it, the whole thing makes sense, and it prepares you to be the best you can be, so you can do what's right and be a productive.part of life Others need you to help them learn too, but you can't do that, unless you learn all you can, first.
In other worse, there are answers to everything,, but it always looks brighter on the other side. However, if you know anything about going over to the other side, you know that when one is sent here to do a job, if they don't do it, they get to repeat it...in exactly the same way. So, why bother to even consider it? Remember, just like birth, death is God's CHOICE, not yours, not any of ours. Just picture coming back and repeating everything you've already done. I know the feel you have. My mom has been drinking and wanted to play suicide since my 8. I've been in places everywhere because I had no home. I am here with a depression because hating my mom and afraid to trust others i respect you all guys.

Life gets too hard for most of us and I'm right there too.. I'm called a freak just because I wear a guys pair of shorts when I'm a girl.. I can't help it if I wish I'd never been who I am! Just because I act like who I want to be doesn't mean I should get made fun of for it! All the time when I've had enough instead of killing myself I cut myself. It gives pain in a good way and helps relieve stress.. Don't tell me cutting is bad because to me it's not.. It who I am.

Something that makes you feel like it's all worth it, because it is. Every minute of everyday is worth it, but you have to find what it is that makes it worth it.

Yes, that does happen, sometimes, but it's not your fault that occurs. That's just life happening, and it's also what happens when God is trying to teach another. Additionally, maybe you're so used to being unhappy, that you don't feel comfortable when you are happy. Ever think of that?
I just wonder how many people on here posting have real thoughts of suicide and how many just post comments to poke fun at those of us that live with these real thoughts. I hate how I feel about myself and I hate that anyone else has to live with these same thoughts as I have. I have found outlets for my thoughts to control them. I know one day my outlets will be gone just like me. Please people if you have these thoughts that's one thing but don't say you have them if you don't.
The question is, what makes you think death is easy? Who told you that? It's not...take it from someone that knows. Been there! Ever read what an NDE is? It's a near death experience; someone that's been there, done that, and come back. Ever think there is a reason for your arrival here? Ever think that maybe you're supposed to do something special? You are...we all are, but you haven't found it yet, and the sensitive ones...the ones that feel the most, find it more difficult to deal with. . .

Ive been kidnapped, raped, my dad commited suicide, i found him, devorce, narcistic boyfriend, lost all my friend, anxiety disorder, ptsd, depression, social phobia, dissociation ....
This happend to me within 5 fucking years
