@@nsgmrsoul6641 you okay ? You should probably learn the differences of effects that a certain spectrum of frequencies have on a human brain rather than just lyrics. Especially on a baby, just like he said.
As quoted by Chris Cornell himself "A black hole is a billion times larger than a sun, it's a void, a giant circle of nothing, and then you have the sun, the giver of all life. It was this combination of bright and dark, this sense of hope and underlying moodiness." No more arguing about song meaning xD
I think he meant a billion times larger as in a billion times the mass. Also, the volume a black hole takes up does not change regardless of mass. The only thing that changes is the radius of the event horizon, which is not part of the black hole. It's simply the point in which escape velocity is the speed of light.

This song never knows where to sit with me emotionally. There’s a mysterious whimsy in the verse and sense of desperate resolution in the killer chorus. Always leaves me haunted.
What I love is the fact that music like this makes you feel something, REMEMBER someone, miss someone. That's not the case with the music you here today
this song gives me a rush of nostalgia. when i hear it, it makes me think of very specific moments. very late, some time after midnight a little chilly with some good friends song's playing softly in the background talking about all sorts of things mood's contemplative nothing really noteworthy happens, but it's still strangely memorable perhaps just because it felt so relaxed, so comfortable ah, i live for moments like that.
I actually think nostalgia is becoming less and less common with each generation. 7os 8os and 9os babies are the epitome of nostalgia impact in our lives.
Even though I was born in 1990 I get what you guys are talking about. Things changed so much since 2000's. Like drastic boom and there goes away peace, simple hangout with friends or family, picnics, watching Mtv all day, landlines, cassettes, good economy and in comes cell phones, internet, social media, people staring at phones, unsafe world etc. Kids have no idea how different 20th century was.
RIP Chris Cornell, Chester, Staley, Static, Steele, and I'm sure there are plenty others. Music is the only thing I connect this strongly with. They're at peace now
Possibly, Though you don't need to know a dictionary definition of a phrase to get a sense of atmosphere. Many poets and writers worked this way. It's like my own interpretation. Read it how you will. :)
Too bad I changed my profile pic, but yeah, Majora's Mask is my favorite game aside from Ocarina of Time (It has a good story line and a really lovely lock-on mechanic that is harder to find in other games.)
majoras mask is my favorite over Ocarina just because it's such a deep plot. I don't know if you've seen the game theory video on it, but basically, if you haven't, if you pay attention to the names and the stages of mourning model, Link actually is dead the whole time, and the game is about him coming to accept it and basically easing the souls he knew in his life, and if you notice, a lot of the people from Ocarina of Time look really similar to a lot of different characters in Majoras Mask, like the mask salesman, the Skull Kid, Malon's father, Tingle, or the Gerudos, which isn't a coincidence, the whole theme of the game is redemption, and Link is healing the souls he knew by visiting their Doppelgangers if you will in the afterlife and helping them if you do all the side quests, and the theory is that Link actually dies when he falls down that giant hole in the beginning, because you couldn't possibly survive a fall like that, and when the mask salesman says, "You've met with a terrible fate haven't you?" He isn't talking about him being turned into the shrub, he's talking about him dying. More evidence can be seen for that in that every time you fail to set back the time and the clock runs out and it shows like being killed, the terrible fate phrase comes up, which points to the fact that he is saying the same thing the first time. Plus the name Termina field. Termina obviously means "death" Hence "teriminal cancer." Go watch the video, it's really interesting. Plus the score is absolutely fantastic, I could sit in clock town or Stone Tower Temple or the deku kings palace and just listen for hours. Just because of the plot and the symbolism and how deep this game actually is, it's my favorite. Ocarina of Time is great too, but it's really just about what happens in the game. Majoras Mask is so much deeper even with how short it is.

Even though I didnt live up to see soundgarden alive, I remember the first rock voice I loved that was Chriss's through Audioslave. After that I dig up everything with him and became a huge fan. I've cried when he died like I was losing someone who grew with me. My life since 14 till now, has Chris's voices as background. Chris, you did a good job, like you did to me, so many joy you bought to do many people, you've lived your life well.
I had the honor to meet Chris and the band while filming the video for black hole sun! No matter how many times they played back this song I never got tired of hearing it! I'm still bumping it! RIP Chis! Your a Rock Legend!
I have heard this song a ton of times since it came out- but caught this jazz cover of it and you could hear the lyrics more clearly- the way he sang it, so I wanted to see what they actually were since a lot of it isn't obvious upon hearing Sound garden do it. I have to say, super impressed with the writing. Really Original word usage. Reminds me a lot of Kurt's writing and it's probably the best thing to come out of the 'grunge' scene, was that the lyrics were much more poetical then your standard fair before it.
as a 14 year old who spent all of his weekends while he was 5-7 (i dont really remember when, but it was a long time ago) in the living room with my family playing Guitar Hero until 1am before i was sent to bed, I must say I was extremely happy this morning when I stumbled across this song in my recomended list on Spotify, which I usually don't go through but did today for whatever reason, and I've been going on a nostalgia trip all day from this song alone because It was the only song i could play other than weezer's Say It Aint So, and I'm just sooooo happy right now! the 80's and 90's were serriously the BEST time for music, and this is a prime example
This song hits me so hard with nostalgia. Every day when I was super young my parents would listen to their music albums and play with me. We would dance to this song and other songs like this. And to this day I cant hear this song without tearing up remembering the good old days when life was simpler.

Every time I try to remember this song I always think of these lyrics: In the eyes Past the lies In the skies that no man knows Heaven sent heaven's sin No one sings like you anymore In the guilt That stood still In a mirage that no eye knows You were the only thing sent No one shines like you anymore Black hole sun Won't you come And wash away the rain Black hole sun Won't you come Won't you come

I'm trying to understand the text. What is paradiselike with a black hole? All the symbols in the song, snaketounges etc. I am aware and sorry for the loss of Chris...!
I never expected this to be my taste in music but it is, this song is such a vibe
This song never knows where to sit with me emotionally. There’s a mysterious whimsy in the verse and sense of desperate resolution in the killer chorus. Always leaves me haunted.
"Hang my head
Drown my fear
Till you all just
Disappear...
Corrupted Soul I just read this right as Chris was singing it. Freaky.
What's going on? It happened to me too. Creepy
Corrupted Soul happened to me too!!
he talking about the eclpice
How is that creepy? He posted lyric from the song. Quit acting like it's something amazing and mystical. damm this generation
What I love is the fact that music like this makes you feel something, REMEMBER someone, miss someone. That's not the case with the music you here today
It really does for me since my family who played this song moved away. I really miss them.. 💛💛
Makes me miss times, not people
When you get into this music at a low point in your life it makes you feel the opposite.
When life's crashing like a plane with stalling engines, I turn to this song and ball my eyes out for hours. It's the song I want to listen to.
*bawl
I feel you
this song gives me a rush of nostalgia.
when i hear it, it makes me think of very specific moments.
very late, some time after midnight
a little chilly
with some good friends
song's playing softly in the background
talking about all sorts of things
mood's contemplative
nothing really noteworthy happens, but it's still strangely memorable
perhaps just because it felt so relaxed, so comfortable
ah, i live for moments like that.
Beautiful snapshot of life. Thank you for sharing.
RIP, Chris Cornell and all the others who played softly/loudly in the background. \m/
leon2550 yep yep and more yeps
I actually think nostalgia is becoming less and less common with each generation. 7os 8os and 9os babies are the epitome of nostalgia impact in our lives.
Even though I was born in 1990 I get what you guys are talking about. Things changed so much since 2000's. Like drastic boom and there goes away peace, simple hangout with friends or family, picnics, watching Mtv all day, landlines, cassettes, good economy and in comes cell phones, internet, social media, people staring at phones, unsafe world etc. Kids have no idea how different 20th century was.
Sounds like weed
RIP Chris Cornell, Chester, Staley, Static, Steele, and I'm sure there are plenty others. Music is the only thing I connect this strongly with. They're at peace now
Keith too. Keith Flint.
Darryl.

Kurt Cobain as well

Thumbs up for Soundgarden and bands of the past
Soundgarden? A band from the past? Have you listened to King Animal?
One of the top 10 90's songs easily.
Joe Bryant in my opinion. the best two 90s songs this and candlebox far behind.
Along with Nutshell by Alice In Chains
Words can't describe what this song evokes in me. Mindless memories.. deadbeat hopes.. passed dreams and future lies.. :)
No disrespect, but what the f*ck is mindless memories? Is that like an oxymoron? I can't seem to compute. Danger, danger. 0.0
Possibly, Though you don't need to know a dictionary definition of a phrase to get a sense of atmosphere. Many poets and writers worked this way. It's like my own interpretation. Read it how you will. :)

***** Damn that's a good idea, get on that son! My favorite video game of all time might I add.
So very very true.
I feel like this song encapsulates what’s going on in our country right now.
Yeah it would be great if all the rioters were washed away
The Executor yeah wouldn’t it be great if all the billionaires were washed away. Fixed that for you.

I just miss the time this comment was written, when we still didn't know what a disaster was coming in a years time...

Well this was written before it happened, 2020 was a beast
Rest in Peace Chris Cornell, no one sings like you anymore. thanks for washing away my rain whenever I needed it as a teen and even now as a lost adult. OXO!
“Hang my head… drown my fear… til you all just disappear…” burns a huge hole in my stomach to hear that from you Chris; especially considering…
This song is dark as hell...
I LOVE IT!!
If I could, I'd make an Anime Music Video. But I can't do that with a phone, I don't think.

RIP Chris. I feel bad, this was pretty unexpected.
Ironic because he says in this song hang my head and we'll look at his cause of death.....
thats dark and kinda messed up he took 2 anti depressants and they counter acted
John Steinbeck
Sucks that we lost him and Chester Bennington. They were best friends after all...
This song is about free masonry initiation sacrifice and secrets. Research bohemian grove.
David Stonecipher nice
I wasn't born when this song was recorded but as all modern music is beyond crap... this is definitely going on my iPod.
Let's change something people let's bring rock back. Do I stand alone !!!
OK, let's change the present year to 1964.
No
Nope, I'll stand with you
Hell yeah👍🎸
I agree with you, the modern rap shit nowadays is awful
Literally I did the same thing as a kid but with a real guitar
We got it. They let you be awake until 1am. Stop bragging

i like the way you said that.... cuz we all think it.
my mom would sing this song to calm me down during panic attacks when i was a little kid, now i always come to it for a little bit of comfort :)
Reminds me of growing up poor in the Westside of Grand Rapids. The grunge scene was still heavy for us, I was born in '96 to an 80s kid so this is all we listened to. We were emo in that household.
I was born in 98 I felt this
Grand Rapids also, early 80's born. This song is deeper than most can imagine.
I was born in 92 and this was my jam
@@jtgpfin It definitely spoke to me even as a little kid. I miss dark grim music like this. Just heavy and nasty.
This song annoys the shit out of two of my best friends. I love singing it to them, even if I get beaten with a sandal.
+TheSlammurai You should beat them with a salami a salami and a bologna, then become a shoe maker. Here the shoes are made of steel.
Lol I love doing that
I made a karekoe video on my channel and my friends hate it but I don't care
That reminds me exactly of one of my friends, when Wrecking ball by Miley Cyrus was popular he would always play it right near this girl who really hated it, he always ended bashed up by her and it was just hilarious to watch.

that's the thing, they suck at both rapping and singing. they'd not even rapping! they are just reading with vocals, really bad or decent. listen to binary stars reality check with the lyrics.
Every time I try to remember this song I always think of these lyrics:
In the eyes
Past the lies
In the skies that no man knows
Heaven sent heaven's sin
No one sings like you anymore
In the guilt
That stood still
In a mirage that no eye knows
You were the only thing sent
No one shines like you anymore
Black hole sun
Won't you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won't you come
Won't you come
My friend in highschool loved this song. I hope you're doing good wherever you are, Russell. You're more than the man behind blue eyes. ;)

Would be cool if this song featured as the ending song of Stone Ocean..
Same here. I always thought the effect could be a literal vaccuum around the user, making said user a recluse because everyone around him horrifically decompresses when he feels any emotion. Possibly like a more evil/apathetic version of Fugo.
It would be bad because in the end the comments would be just unfunny jojo references

My God what a talent Chris Cornell had, he maid it sound to easy and effortless, but it's such effort to sing along to him, rip chris, thanks for the music and memories it made
No one sings like you anymore, Chris..
I never realized how sad is this song... Now I think maybe it was a constant feeling of Chris and he was really preying for the sun to wash away all that sadness. Like us when we hear this masterpiece.
I can’t describe how beautiful this song is. I don’t know how the hell Chris figured out the melody in the verse. Incredible!
