Thank you for the explanation! Best explanation I've seen so far! I have the Presto Electric Digital Pressure Canner but I am not an experienced canner - so this was very helpful!
We do a lot of canning but use this big old aluminum pot for canning. It takes forever for the water to boil. I definitely want to look into this electric canner. You explained it perfectly and made it look easy and safe, thank you. I will need your bone broth recipe. I buy the boxed bone broth and sip on it before a meal. It helps to curb my appetite. However, making my own bone broth would certainly save money. Thanks Val for another great video. 👍
I loved mine too. Only have had it for 2 1/2 years. The timers quit working. They won't fix but I can buy a new one for 1/2 price. A little expensive for it to only last 2 years. It does still work but I have to keep checking to see if it needs to advance to the next stage. So the option that was great isn't so good anymore.
I have the Power XXL Pressure cooker/canner. That's how I did my chicken broth I texted you about. My husband bought it for me several years ago, & I just really started using it. The process is a lot like the one you have. (Doesn't warm jars though, I like that!) I still have to use the old-style Pressure cooker for quarts though. They really should make a taller one! Ha! Can't wait to watch the beans, I've been watching a few video's on the process. Have a glorious weekend! ❤️
I just bought this canner I did a water test and my trivet turned black! Did anyone else have this issue? I washed it all before hand my house has a softener. Any ideas welcomed as I have tried to get answer from presto and Amazon where I purchased and no one’s answering
Same here, plus a 1 1/2 year after purchase and only used maybe 6 times it now is a continuous Error 50 code and won't close and seal so cannot get any pressure. :(

Thank you for your work sharing. Learned good things.

Thank you so much. I’m loving it so far. There’s so much I want to do. Thank you for watching.
Awesome machine
I love it!!!
Pretty nice item to have.
Very nice.
Thank you for going through that with us. So different from the hot bath. Can the broth just be hot packed?
I do hot pack it but you have to pressure can it. Thank you for watching.
Omgosh that looks difficult 😳 😂😂
Oh I hope I didn’t make it look hard. It wasn’t. It was easy. So much easier than stove top canning. Thank you for watching.
@@ourforeverfarm no you didn't make it look hard I'm just shocking in the kitchen 😂😂😂😂❤️
You are fine!! I tried to go slow to help others see how easy it was. Lol
you know the instructions say a max of 5 quart jars. Do you have any problems with 8?
Two questions...
1. Do you feel the canner is worth the $300+ price.
2. Do you have an Apple Butter Recipe/video?
I do think it’s worth it but I can a lot. And I’m making apple butter this week so keep watching. Thank you!
I wish it was stainless steel interior instead of nonstick.
I like stainless steel too unless it’s a refrigerator.lol
