"Queens in Exile, The Forgotten Ones"
by Sylvia Rivera
This was the name of the memoir Hester read for the podcast.
Hi! I am a heterosexual woman and half of my close friends are part of the queer community. And I love to listen to your podcast or videos cuz it makes me more conscious about my dear friends. Their fight is my fight. Thanks for all this, it is beautiful :)
found you guys on instagram and now this is my favorite podcast
I really really loved that episode and shared it to all my inner-circle-queer friends! also loved your energy together and your respect for the queer history and your heartfelt sympathy for the people within it.
What a GREAT podcast!! Loved this episode! Thank you so much :)
Thank you, this speech always goes straight into my heart
So healing to kind of process it together
Os acabo de descubrir gracias a TikTok. Sois fantásticxs!
such an important and wonderful episode
I just want to say for those that are watching this video and don’t know, that the police did nothing when Marsha was murdered. They literally did nothing. Which happens a lot to our BIPOC Trans family. There was never a proper investigation. There has yet to be justice for her. 💔
Learning so much❤️ Thanks for having a straight chick on Safe Space 44:20✌️🙏🏼 love your channel, MORE people need to watch this, I wish you all the luck in the world❤️Too many of these channels are bias and down right full of hate but y’all only give facts and spread good vibes and commentate always constructive or post, I like that✌️Sending BIG love from Australia. I wish more places were like Indonesia where I use to live, where transgender and artists and general weirdness (said with love) is not only accepted but it is celebrated because they acknowledge that it is the foundation for the next chapter in their society culturally. Also most of their gods and goddesses are either transgender or hermaphroditic… human Nature was acknowledged and accepted early on instead of being treated like something to be ashamed of and called a sin and prayed over. I wish that Westerners could adapt the same mentality❤️
love this!!!
Loved this!
I like the woman on the right, but the other feels like a big baby. Not one substancial word came over her mouth.
I hardly don't agree with you. They're great! Plus I think calling someone "a big baby" and then criticizing them that quote-unquote not one substantial word would have been came out of their mouth is like the clearest case of double standards.
@@noahyourlocalpinguin4319 define what u mean...tell me something that u find substantial. please.
Successful recorded discussions usually need balance, giving the audience time to process what’s being discussed or described, and also someone to pay attention to when definitions and further explanation are needed to make sure a broader audience can follow. Without the person on the left, it wouldn’t be a discussion, it would be just a dense lecture and most people wouldn’t be able to stick with it or process the information. That’s just not the best way out brains learn. So I think there’s real value to both of their contributions
Your comment is completely uncalled for. Why tf come here to say something hateful? Eewww.
