3:08 I love how they made this out like the Shadow Queen is this unspeakable horror possessing Peach, it sounds so scary like she's so powerful that she can control reality and nothing can stop her. I absolutely love what they did with the Shadow Queen, this time they made absolutely sure that the player will never forget her and that she's more than just a shadow demon sealed away, she had the power of gods.
Okay, but, the fact Peach gets possessed, and you have to basically fight a brainwashed version of her is fucked up (in the best way possible). Like, the Mario series is rarely dark, at most usually just a little Halloween-y; but the fact you have to fight a literal death goddess who is using a loved one's body as a vessel (followed up by your own brother getting brainwashed by an actual demon clown in the sequel) is just... DAMN. Also the boss medley scratches my inner metalhead/goth brain. \M/
Who the heck would...? I get that sometimes people will go for a bad-boy/bad-girl, but... She's this big scary demon-witch-monster that turned Peach into a goth-girl with super-demon-powers.
This might be a hot take but I do not like at all what they did with "We're Counting on You, Mario!". I wince everytime I hear the electric guitar and rock drums.
No I share the feeling honestly. As much of a sucker I am for the rock genre, especially for video game tracks and remixes, the Shadow Queen's themes had waaaay too much. It was overpowering everything which made it extremely jarring

I can hear the effort it took to make this medley. Thanks
"In The Final from Bowser's Inside Story is the hardest-going final boss music of all time."
Shadow Queen: _Are you sure about that?_
The remade final battle theme is even better than the original and THAT'S SAYING A LOT!! That is AMAZING!!! They went all out with this remake!!
Shadow Queen be like : "Tee-hee"
Beyond amazing, beyond superb...
The way you wove in certain sound effects to app up the transitions... perfection. ❤❤❤
Thank you! Finding all of the right sfx within about 6k of wav files was torture.

SHE'S HEEEEEEEEEEREEEEEE
Amazing!

Same, the guitar is just too much imo, makes it feel like I'm playing/listening to Origami King.
You’ll live.
I think the new one combines the emotional feeling of the original and the epicness/power of the crystal stars and the moment in general pretty well
Rock drums for life
