I agree about the Dyson vacuum cleaners. I love the fact you can get into every part of them to unblock them when needed. The dressing room looks spectacular.
I was wondering if you and Charlie could show us how you make your favorite British desserts and other foods that are typically eaten during Autumn and Winter months?
@@veramesquita6294 I inquired because I reside in America (which of course where I'm located, I'm spending more time at home cooking in due to the pandemic) and wanted some ideas for new things to try for the cold weather months and even desserts and/or side dishes for the upcoming Holiday meals.

Woo Hoo! Your dressing room is almost complete! I think the cornice will be a wonderful addition! Will they also add it along the top of the cabinets along the side walls that connect to the sloped ceiling? I’m obsessed with applied moldings, so the more the merrier as far as I’m concerned! Personally, I would definitely avoid them making little cubby sections in your makeup drawers. There are so many organizational caddies you can buy to customize the organization of various shaped and ever changing cosmetics! With products regularly changing priorities, depending on seasons and skin requirements, having something structural that can’t accommodate those changes easily will be a royal pain! But mostly, keeping those permanent sections clean will be a nightmare! Liquids leak, powder dust settles everywhere and the mess can be a real chore to clean up even without dealing with all those nasty corners! At least with individual, removable containers they are super simple to empty, pop in the dishwasher and no crusty, goopy gunk stuck in the corners like with the permanent sections. Also, you are giving up valuable inches of storage space with the thickness of their dividers! I hope you reconsider that pricey decision and opt for something that can easily shift and change to accommodate your needs! But that’s just what I would do. If you decide to go the permanent dividers, maybe ask them to not make it so permanent where you can lift out the entire divider grid for easier cleaning. However, I have no ideas how to get the permanent dividers to accommodate all the different sizes and shapes and beautiful packaging! Just something to ponder... ☺️😊🥰
I am a Dyson fan, too!! He is a genius when it comes to air flow. What a game changer!! I live in Australia, I am of English descent, first generation Australian. Both my parents were British (born and bred) so a lot of my habits are English. I am an avid tea drinker and use my kettle several times a day. So, yes, a kettle is a staple kitchen appliance.
How beautiful and nearly complete. The additions in the dressing room made it even more elegant! Happy for you! Can’t wait to see Charlie’s finished closet.
I also wanted the recipe!!I am glad you did the steps! I will prepare this tou husband when he will return home since he is in the navy and we struggle with Turkey at the moment. He adores pasta..he goes lunatic for them! Thank you so much!kisses from Greece!❤🇬🇷
I’m from Chicago, USA and everyone I know has a kettle or teapot, which is what we normally call it. I can’t imagine not having one. I used it for tea and coffee even when I had my kurig. I use an electric kettle now because my old stove top one got melted ( the plastic handle) from a stove top fire. The electric one is so fast to heat the water. I drink tea about 4 times a day. I loved it so much that I bought one for the break room at work.
Totally depends on the area you live in and your family background. I don't see it here very often in California, but all of the families that I know that moved here from the East coast seem to have them. I think it's slightly more common here to either have a built-in hot-tap, or just microwaving your water in your tea mug. :)
American from NC here: I never use a kettle, don't even own one. If I need to boil water I stick it in a measuring cup and throw it in the microwave for a couple of minutes. But when we boil things in a pot, we just heat the water in the pot on the stove. The only tea anybody drinks in this house is 'sweet tea', or, sweetened iced tea, over ice.
DYSON is seriously amazing, I agree with you. I had the first model they ever released from 7 years and ended up breaking during the move due to movers not protecting it properly. I had a Labrador at that time and lots of carpet everywhere and that Dyson was a workhorse! And now I also have a cordless one and it’s just MAGICAL!!!! I love love love how I just grab it off the charger and start vacuuming without being annoyed by plugging it in and keeping a track where the cord is so you don’t damage it. If anyone is on the fence, I highly highly recommend it. Quality is amazing and it’s true what they say, dyson never loses its suction lol
Dyson goes back 15 years in the US... My 2nd nephew was born with health concerns. His father wanted the home environment to be as healthy as possible... Dyson was part of the game plan!!!
Hi Josie! Im from Argentina living in NY, and a Kettle is perfectly normal in America, Modern life with the appearance of microwave gave people an easier way to heat water so it is less used on a daily bases, but in Argentina and Uruguay where we drink mate a kettle to hit the water is a must. Also there are a very nice electric kettles so you don’t need the hob! Have a nice weekend! 🥰
I have had a stovetop kettle my whole life (56) but my family is rather old school farmers and ranchers about 5 years ago while visiting my son and daughter-inlaw she had an electric one from her college days and I thought it was so handy that I went and bought one soon as I got home and have not used my stovetop one since. but I still have it to use on the woodstove for when the power goes out in storms. lol
I am from the states and we do have kettles and they are regularly in homes. As I have has one in my mom’s home and since I have lived on my own with my family. Tea in the morning is a must.☕️
In Germany, we use kettles, too 😃 Saves a lot of energy compared to heating water on the stove! Our word for it is "Wasserkocher", which literally translates to 'water cooker' 😂
The wardrobe is so beautiful! I didn’t realise how beautiful it would be. The pink sheets are such a lovely shade. I have a Dyson vacuum too and absolutely love it!! I think I’ve bought 5 so far. In Australia, kettles are a common household item.
We have kettles! She may just be a “sheltered flake”. I am obsessed with tea! Prefer loose herbal teas and Have a tea station in my home. So yes! We have and 99% of the population know what a kettle is. 🥰
I live in the Dallas Texas area and I use an electric kettle but have never heard it called a water heater. We do have a hot water heater that heats our water that comes out of the faucets in the kitchen and bathrooms. It is a tall round tank stored in my laundry room. I drink coffee each morning and love a good cup of tea each night. I drink typhoo tea I order from England on amazon I had it when I visited a friend that lives in Southampton and love it! Love your home and gardening videos !!!
I am from New York and I have a Kettle and use it often. I drink coffee in the morning and have tea at night for which I use a kettle. We have two in my summer home. Also love the dressing room.
Vacuum cleaning is very gratifying - I've mentioned before that I wanted to invest in Dyson hair technology but their vacuum technology is amazing - I've always wanted to get it since it first launched. It is a game changer. I am a home tech dork lol It is so lovely seeing you get your fashion video groove back, I personally love how you have evolved your vlogs to include fashion, home, professional/work and lifestyle however seeing you do your fashion only videos is lovely :-)
I'm getting such a cosy autumn vibe from this video♡♡♡. I guess it's because days are getting shorter and it was already dark outside at the end of the vlog.
So happy for you that your dream wardrobe is getting finished. It looks wonderful!! I use a"tea kettle" to make hot tea and boil water like you do. I think that was so cute that she called it waterheater.Maybe she's new to cooking, bless her heart. I LOVE our Dyson too. The greatest !!!!!! And mac and cheese is my #1 comfort food along with grilled cheese sandwich and cream of tomato soup. Yum yum
I have always had a stovetop kettle. I was born and raised on hot tea. I hated coffee until a few years ago. So, yes kettles are a thing here in the US.
As an American, I’ve had different kettles throughout my life, nowadays it’s the microwave for hot water 2 minutes for hot tea or the Keurig maker, which dispenses hot water as well, I will say, it’s not the same as a whistling kettle lol! Now the product from your country, that we (myself and hubby) are obsessed with, is the Smeg Toaster, YESSSS! We are going to be heading to Williams Sonoma to make our purchase, if they don’t have the color we love “cream” we will purchase it online, we also love the smeg coffee maker, for now we are satisfied with our Nespresso and Keurig.
Hi Josie! We live up in New England and having a kettle is a main stay here, and drink a lot of tea as well. By the way thank you for sharing your recipe for Mac and Cheese I made it about a month ago using your recipe and we no longer buy it in a can. Much prefer making meals from scratch. And I love baking from scratch too! Thank you for the phenomenal video today, I really missed seeing the boys and the daily things with you and Charlie. xx ❤️🌻
I just got a Dyson after seeing you speak so highly about them and OMG I was not living my best hoovering life! I get so excited to hoover and also I am so shocked how much dust and dirt I was living in before! The dressing room looks great! x
Wonderful to see the boys, i have missed them. Regarding tea kettles, many Americans prefer using a microwave to heat water. I prefer a kettle to heat water in my stove and also use an electric teal kettle which heats water to boiling faster than a microwave or stove top.
Pucci Puu and that’s why I commented- seems she’s mastered both! I’m guessing you don’t have a RUclips... she definitely works really hard. I am new to this so am quite impressed with most creators😂

Yes we Canadians have kettles (water heaters😂)! That was so cute! Love your “beyond beautiful” dressing room. 😍 Just adore you’re “everyday life vlogs”💖, your home, puppies, Charlie and your Mac and cheese!
The rug in pink room is growing on me, the lighting was from a different angel and was quite pretty. Maybe sage green or light pale white sheets on that gorgeous bed would be prettier though. Love the shades of pink in the room🥰
Here in the US, we always had a tea kettle. My mom referred to it as the coffee pot, since she used it to boil water for coffee or making instant coffee in it. I have owned many cute ones over the years. I sort of have a tea kettle fetish. I am currently without one and have been trying to decide on which cute one to purchase! I enjoy watching your videos while sitting out on our deck having lunch. Truly a highlight of my day. Thank you for sharing your passion us!
Tea obsessed American here! An electric kettle is absolutely a necessity for me. Once during a hurricane my power went out and I had to boil water the old school way. It felt out of place, haha!
I always feel super relaxed watching your videos. Besides of that - the rug in the pink room looks fantastic and the mirrored door to the bathroom in your dressing room - wow, just wow. I can remember how my mum used a kettle when I was a kid - but at some point she replaced it with an eletric kettle (or water boiler, not sure what the right english word is for it).
Good morning back at you darling, from Oklahoma. It was 46 this morning, so Fall is truly here! Some years we don’t get cooler temps till middle October. After hot summers with some days over 100 degrees, Fall is welcome indeed.
Hi, I had the same reaction regarding kettles when I moved to Florida from South Africa, you can easily find them in the shops, but at least at my work people didn't know what it was and then I showed them how to make coffee using a French Press - MINDS BLOWN!! I find people tend to just use the Keurig, Nespresso or drip coffee machines unless they like tea.
Hi Josie,I have the V8 but I would loooove your one!! I couldn't do without my Dessie the Dyson!! ❤️ Josie your dressing room is out of this world,it's wonderful!!💝
Josie, your dressing having is magnificent... I don't drink coffee I use a tea kettle, I also use a water heater to make cinnamon, lemongrass, and ginger tea (don't knock it till you try it) or orange leaf tea there are diverse teas. Thank you I really enjoy watching.
Dear Josie...I’ve missed a couple of videos....very busy times here in Connecticut......I’ve had a house guest all week. My daughter’s mother in law stayed with us. We got the surprise of our lives the other evening.....we had finished our meal when suddenly our 2 grandchildren came out wearing shirts....Natalie’s said Big Sister and Andrew’s said Big Brother! It took a moment to register......my daughter is having a third baby.....we were so shocked and happy. I’ve missed your vlogs....so happy to catch up.
I am Canadian but what I have noticed is that in American homes a lot tend to have their hot water built in to their kitchen sink faucet like their garbage disposal. In Canada we still use kettles, whether it be electric or stove and typically don’t have a garbage disposal system built in the sink.
Josie, have no fear we here in the U S say either tea pot or as you say tea kettle. So we understand your English. It’s so nice to see you and Charlie interacting in the kitchen. Alas when it comes time to eat in our house my husband does a vanishing act until the food is on the table. As always love your videos.
Canadian here and yes we have kettles 😂 most people use electric kettles though, but you can certainly get stove-top kettles. I have a bright red one that I love.
I live in Southern California (where it was 100* Fahrenheit today 😭) and I’ve had my electric water kettle for the last 15 years! I use it every single day for tea, or my four sigmatic drinks, or making mac’n’cheese for my kids etc. Can’t live without it!
I would like to include my input as a bit of advice as I know you are a bit on and off about the rug from what it seems. I think that getting a rug with not a lot going on would be a better option as I think having the rug another shade of pink and with shapes can take away from all the other beautiful features in the room such as the bed. Possibly a cream rug with gold trimming to tie in with the gold outline on the cushions and it means it its subtle but also has a bit of something. I did just want to say that although the piglet pink bedding is gorgeous I do think maybe trying out the floral bedding you had gotten for the attic bedroom in a video a while back would look gorgeous.
Lol! I am from the US and definitely use Kettles! Never, ever heard of them called water heaters! Omg I laughed as well!!!! Love to watch you guys cook and am glad you did the Mac and cheese again . Love your zest for Mac and cheese!!
1. I made your Mac & Cheese recipe a couple of weeks ago for my family and they loved it! (From the other video you showed us the recipe) and 2. I love that you also watch Amelia and Victoria and of course Freddy!

Very therapeutic and entertaining watching your excitement cleaning. I’m a clean nerd as well. Have two vacuum cleaners. Neither Dysons. Will have to check those out.
I'm binge watching you today...I haven't been here in this long! catching up. I love the bath entrance hideaway. nobody would know it wasn't a closet unless they opened it up. fits with the old usages of the house. XD.
I think the majority of Americans definitely know what a kettle is...although I think most people would use the term "tea pot" over kettle. Whether or not they actually own one would depend on whether or not they like tea. I don't own a kettle myself but I will drink tea from time to time if I'm in the mood for it.
I don't own a stove kettle anymore, I have an electric kettle that Boils water So Friggin Fast!!! But, Yes Many Many Americans still have & use a Kettle. Our Definition of Water Heater is the same as yours- it's a large tank that heats the water for the house. In some areas of the U.S. a water heater is also called a Boiler.
hahahaha! I could literally feel your pain as your mouth was watering but you had to round up the video. It was soo funny seeing you in craving mode. Also love it when you talk to your dogs in a very cutesy way. Loved the video, thanks for sharing your day with us and your love for vacuuming. 😀 It's funny how you love it and I had to pray for a space with no rugs so I will never have to vacuum. haha
Like other people have already said the pink room would look better if there was another color to made the pink pop more. I would go with a cream or green to tie in with the rest of the house.
My grandma only recently converted to an electric water heater because it was easier and lighter for her but she always had a kettle that was for the stove top. It was hard to find an affordable stovetop one in Australia because they were so expensive (I don’t know why but I think its because they are now a bit of a statement piece than a functional piece of kitchenware)
also, you should try adding pureed butternut squash, pumpkin, or a butternut squash pasta sauce or soup (a prepared kind in a jar) to the mac n cheese- i discovered it once by experimenting with leftovers on a whim and it's fantastic!
We have kettles that you put on the stove here in the US. My english husband likes an electric one, so I just bought him one. I'm used to using the kettle that you heat on the stove top. I do like his electric one. It's definitely faster.
I am from the United States and I call it a tea kettle. I saw different responses others. It may be from where we are in the US people live. For example. I call a drink "soda" and other states call it "pop" . We also have different words for the long sandwich - a sub (short for submarine), a grinder, a hoagie, a hero. So the kettle could be like that.
Lovely to watch a chilled vlog 👍Dressing room is looking so beautiful 😍 Haha😂 I could happily watch you make your Mac’NCheese every week *mouthwatering* You and Charlie are fun to watch cooking 🥘 So Intrigued by the kettle/water heater comment 🤔I love vacuuming too - perfectly normal 😘
The dressing room just gets better and better! I have a Mackenzie Child Tea Pot here in the US. Loved your Mac and cheese recipe I am going to make that for sure! Much love to you darling! P.s. We just bought a new home and I was in the market for a new vacuum and getting to see all the different levels of vacuums you have really helped me and also I want that fan so I will be getting that too, thank you! Xoxo
From the USA. Tea kettles are pretty much a staple here. The girl you saw must have been from a non cooking family, I know some. Make my Mac and cheese just like you do. Love it. Fun vid. 😍😍
Hola!! I am from the United States and we laugh the same as you, for some of the appliances (items), that some are different. But, the most important thing that they do their function. Although, I could see that Emma Hill, from London (youtuber) bought an American fridge. Well that's what she said and why she bought it, I don't remember why.
I'm so happy for you that your dream wardrobe is basically done now 😊 I'm from America and my mom has been using a kettle/water heater for awhile, so that is familiar to me, but it's just not something that I use. Whenever I make tea I just have my Kurieg (I think that's how it's spelled 🤦♀️) pour out 8 oz of water, so I don't have to attempt to guess what 8 oz is... and I'm lazy 😁
I agree about the Dyson vacuum cleaners. I love the fact you can get into every part of them to unblock them when needed. The dressing room looks spectacular.

You and Charlie should seriously think of compiling a recipe book of all your favourite dishes down the line.
Josie your dressing room is out of this world,it's wonderful!!💝
Wardrobe is an actually dream :) I just love the secret bathroom door looks amazing and you would never no there’s was a bathroom there x
In the U S tea kettles have been around forever, although electric kettles have become quite popular.
Josie, your dressing having is magnificent... I don't drink coffee I use a tea kettle, I also use a water heater to make cinnamon, lemongrass, and ginger tea (don't knock it till you try it) or orange leaf tea there are diverse teas. Thank you I really enjoy watching.
I have a tea kettle that sits on my back burner all the time. I am a tea drinker , live in Florida but prefer hot tea. Another wonderful video.
I have to agree with the comments about the mirrors. Have stopped looking at clothes through the mirror, I now just listen.
What a dream dressing room 💕 Absolutely beautiful❣️
I was wondering if you would upload 🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉
You are such a JOY to watch !
my Friday Chinese night is slowly changing into Josie's mac and cheese night!! Thanks for a lovely vlog!
Love to You , Charlie and the Doggos xx
Lol! I am from the US and definitely use Kettles! Never, ever heard of them called water heaters! Omg I laughed as well!!!! Love to watch you guys cook and am glad you did the Mac and cheese again . Love your zest for Mac and cheese!!
Aloha my friend! I’m from Hawaii and I have always had a kettle! We drink a lot of tea here though.☕️🌴🥰🌺🌺🌺
1. I made your Mac & Cheese recipe a couple of weeks ago for my family and they loved it! (From the other video you showed us the recipe) and 2. I love that you also watch Amelia and Victoria and of course Freddy!
Oh my goodness that's so funny! I live in Oregon, USA and have always had a kettle but my family is from Canada and tea is life!
I’m so obsessed with your dressing room, it’s unreal ❤️ To anyone else reading this.. HAPPY FRIDAYYYYY!! It’s time to put your feet up Nd chill, we all deserve it!! Make sure to have a glass of something too😋 I hope your are staying safe, and remember to keep smiling!! Lots of love, a small time RUclipsr trying to spread positivity ❤️ xxxx
Your dressing room is absolutely amazing it’s so beautiful!!😁🍂🍂
Very therapeutic and entertaining watching your excitement cleaning. I’m a clean nerd as well. Have two vacuum cleaners. Neither Dysons. Will have to check those out.
Josie... Your videos always cheer me up ❤️❤️❤️ love from South Africa xx
Love the pink room. Rug, bed and bedding, lamps !
Can you vlog with your mum? Really love seeing her in your previous vlogs
I am truly in awe of your dressing room! it looks amazing 😍
Kettles are used in America. Americans do know the difference between a water heater and kettle, so it must have been her lack of knowledge.
Yes, not used as much as a coffee maker but most know the difference. Lol
Kettle is a tea pot here in the Pacific Northwest! We drink a lot of tea & coffee here!☕
I don't own a stove kettle anymore, I have an electric kettle that Boils water So Friggin Fast!!! But, Yes Many Many Americans still have & use a Kettle. Our Definition of Water Heater is the same as yours- it's a large tank that heats the water for the house. In some areas of the U.S. a water heater is also called a Boiler.
@@prayonkreutz2398 Yes, my thought is she was referencing an instant boil thing vs. our old school kettles. I have a kettle by the way!
Kettles are old school here too! That's funny that she implied they were not :)
I agree Josie, the Dysons are amazing...I love ours... Macaroni cheese it the tops in our house as well.
hahahaha! I could literally feel your pain as your mouth was watering but you had to round up the video. It was soo funny seeing you in craving mode. Also love it when you talk to your dogs in a very cutesy way. Loved the video, thanks for sharing your day with us and your love for vacuuming. 😀 It's funny how you love it and I had to pray for a space with no rugs so I will never have to vacuum. haha
I love the way you said the fans were fan-tastic investments! 😁 x 😊
Like other people have already said the pink room would look better if there was another color to made the pink pop more. I would go with a cream or green to tie in with the rest of the house.
Yes, yes we do have kettles, LOL! Regular kinds and electric kinds! 😂😂😂
Thank you for your constant hard work and dedication 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Maybe you should move the pink geometric rug from the pink bedroom into your dressing room.
I had exactly the same thought!
Great idea!🤔💖
Good idea!
From the US and we put the kettle on at my house daily. Coffee in the morning and tea in the evening ☕️😊 We use an electric one tho
also, you should try adding pureed butternut squash, pumpkin, or a butternut squash pasta sauce or soup (a prepared kind in a jar) to the mac n cheese- i discovered it once by experimenting with leftovers on a whim and it's fantastic!
Hello from Maryland, US! I have a beautiful Le Creuset kettle. My husband, our son and I like to drink tea during the cold months.
Xoxo
That mac and cheese - Josie, take us to your kitchen, please ;>
From the USA. Tea kettles are pretty much a staple here. The girl you saw must have been from a non cooking family, I know some. Make my Mac and cheese just like you do. Love it. Fun vid. 😍😍
The dressing room 🤩🤩 and wow, the bathroom is well hidden, Carl did an amazing job!
