Man I want the textured titanium, but S35VN is good enough for me. 3v is kinda hit or miss in my experience for different companies doing heat treatment.. definitely wouldn't buy 3v from kizer again.
@@john02703v is like the soft poopoo version of cruwear. It feels like magnacut at 56 hrc. I'm personally not settling for less than magnacut and titanium.
Never was interested in the aus10a version with "plastic" handles. But i got the s35vn version with Coyote tan G10 scales and i love it. Great edc knife. Whish it was made in USA but you can't have everything.. pricey? Yes but for me it's a worthy edc gem
Hopefully companies will start making scales for the ad20.5 with the large flanged pivot. I’d like to replace my carbon fiber scales with maybe some g-10 scales for a different look.
Haven't tried a ad 20 anything yet and hope eventually a ad20.5 in a good tool steel will eventually be available besides 3v. Some k390, 10v, cruwear, etc. A ad20s in those steels would be cool too if I was able to get one without needing to stay glued to my phone. Definitely nice that there offering more options for people to choose from
I'm looking to get the full-size ad20 but I'm not spending money on budget versions with outdated steel so I'm expecting to pay $900 or more. At this point in my enthusiast grind it actually just pisses me off to consider s35vn, aus10, d2 or 3v as options. More ad20i's dropped the other day but they're 20cv so I can't even use that at work, far too delicate a steel. Magnacut and titanium or no deal.
@@pocketpriorities I'm there but I never see deals happening outside of a random ad20i drop. I'm looking at prices for new on ebay which go for $800-900 and that's in g10. Would still have to buy og scales. Don't really know how to deal in the group, just make a post with an offer?

@@lukejodoin3449 I actually ended up ordering a 3v version from knife center. It had a slight discount and was a bit cheaper vs the s35 ones. I ordered it today and it’s already shipped lmao! First time buying from knife center and already impressed
LOL, if you go back to my old videos, those 2x4s are covering the prior surface- a figured maple desk that i began putting too many dings in playing around with knives on youtube! :P

I have a ti clone 20.5. It has a small amount of up/down blade play. I have a real 20.5 coming as well, do the real ones have play like this clone? Thanks much

The od green dlt exclusive is the best frn handle in that model. Just my opinion. Bought one a week ago from them for 119.00 out the door.

Yeah definitely rougher. I bent the pocket clip out a touch and it’s fairly similar to the Grivory now.

Nice, secondary isn’t bad for a magnacut AD20, are you in the Facebook group or on Reddit KnifeSwap? Should be $550-750 with Ti scales.

I’d buy one Friday for my birthday but they are all sold out vs the carbon fiber grips in s35 😂 if it’s still there Friday I’ll pick it up

It’s actually got a fantastic heat treat on it, it’s been great for edc, zero issues with the edge retention.
