Firstly he is a very important player for Liverpool. He doesn't leave them and Liverpool will make sure he doesn't leave as he is the symbol for the club.
Also let's take this myth out that he can't do defence. Maybe he is not the best on the defensive side but he still does his job really well. There are players like Tripper or Walker who have shown the worst defence side but they hardly get that level of criticism as compared to Trent. During Trent early career he made many players life tough on that side. But when you 2-3 players on you how can you defend that side? It's impossible.
He still has a future in Liverpool. He still can be used as a RB which Slot has used with his few players at Feyenoord.
