I love that the interpreter also captured his emotion with the sighs.
Yes
@@sophie2084 interpreter is very skilled
he signed the sighs
It really is an art form in itself
Congratulations to him. And I love how a lot of the people there are signing their applause
Love it! ♥️
Seeing them all do the sign for applause made me cry
So delighted for Troy Kotsur, he thoroughly deserved this and I hope he wins the Oscar too. This guy has had to work doubly hard to gain his achievements and I think he is very worthy of this honour.
What a guy. He deserves any award in my eyes. Let us hope it paves the way for other amazing humans who have one less sense than most! Congratulations to Troy on a well deserved award x
@@aaroningl it's alot harder for deaf actors to get into the buisness. Producers still pick famous hearing actors over deaf actors to play deaf rolls. So yes. He had to work double so hard.
He just did.
And he did today won oscar do happy for him
He was a real deaf actor.!
i got teary-eyed with his win. i love CODA. it is one of the best films i enjoyed. so glad it being recognized. congratulations!
Me too 🥺 what a wonderful man
I concur with your sentiment 100%
Australia.

I got very teary-eyed a hour ago when he won his Oscar!!! It was a great speech!!!
I really love the CODA, too. Would you recommend other best films?
It's great having it translated from sign to speech rather than the other way round
He has an absolutely fascinating humor .. keep being you Troy !!
Out of interest... Could you perhaps explain specifically what you find fascinating about his humour?
@@cko7372 what do you mean explain? Was it the wrong word to use .. I enjoyed his speech a lot
@@karmen181 I just simply wondered what you found fascinating about his humour... I can understand that you enjoyed his speech, but your comment wasn't "I enjoyed his speech".... Your comment said that you found his humour fascinating, so I was just wondering and asking you to provide some commentary about what specifically you found fascinating about it?
@@cko7372 Troy is snarky and many deaf people are snarky. :)
@@hattiem.7966... And there's something "fascinating" about being snarky?
This made me both laugh and cry and cheer! What a speech, and what a legend of a man!
*Yeaaaah* I’m deaf and my celebrity crush Millie’s sign “thank you” makes me feel super happy, thank you, troy, for teaching her signing 😂
So well deserved! I choked up at the part when he was trying to figure out how people appreciated his daughter’s performance and on the top of the truck. That was so beautiful 💕
So great to see Troy and his lovely wife Deanne who we haven’t seen for 20 years since Sue Thomas was being filmed; congratulations!
Erm, i occasionally “google” her, and sometimes look at her Instagram.
She’s been teaching ASL to high school students for several years now.
I’m so delighted to see his incredible work being recognized all over the world. I hope he takes the Oscar too!
I love his performance and I believe he deserves all the recognition he received and is receiving. Hope he wins the Oscar! Congratulations, sir Troy!
and he just did!
He was amazing in CODA. I loved his performance.
Well, WELL deserved!!! He put his heart and soul into the film. The depth of sentiment and dedication to the character was touching and engaging. Congratulations!!!!
Massive congrats to you Troy and richly deserved the the award and good luck at the Oscar’s 🤟
I am crying again! Congratulations!!! He's such an amazing actor.

Australia.
Huge congratulations to Troy kotsur a truly amazing and inspirational actor
He could be a great fit to any movie tragedy, comdey, romantic as well as emotional.. he is a great actor .. congrats
I have severe hearing loss in both ears, this brings tears to my eyes and makes me grateful for having hearing aids. He is an inspiration
Congrats to Troy for his Oscar win tonight!!!!
In case anyone was wondering, the wife he mentioned is Deanne Bray, who played Sue Thomas in "Sue Thomas FB Eye".
im just so beyond happy for him. And I really do hope that we will see more of those deaf talents in the future. we need more movies with deaf actors. absolutely wonderful man!
Erm, all due respect, but any “challenge”!
This is his first BAFTA win, seriously!
Congratulations Troy, you are our great world's inspiration..SALUTE
I am so proud of him
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!! I WANT THE ACADEMY TO ALSO HONOUR THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE A DISABILITY!!!!
Absolutely beautiful moment.... congratulations!
One of the best speeches I have heard in a long while... insightful, funny, and from the heart..Congrats, Troy!
Congratz! One of the most moving films I've ever seen.
A Deaf 007 would be so cool to watch, though. I'm 1000% on board with this. I would LOVE to watch that!
2:52 lmfao didn't even realize that was Millie
MBB signing "thank you" back to Troy when he thanked her for handing him the award. Bless.
This was so wholesome ❤️🙌
Why am i crying throughout his speech? 🥲
im in love with this man he needs to be in more movies
This the only project made to date that actually made me shell out the money for an Apple Tv subscription just so I could watch this movie. What an absolutely phenomenal movie
This is Incredible!!!! Huge Congratulations
Our world just needs more of this moment!
Performance isn't limited by what one can or cannot do. Troy and others like him have shown time and again that they can do the work just as well as anybody else. Would being able to hear help Troy in his life? Probably. He has lived without hearing his whole life though. How can he miss something he never had?
You did a great job in the movie
Congratulations you beautiful man.
Wonderful success for Deaf World!!! Congratulations!!!!
he was very good in CODA well deserved
Congratulations‼️👏
First time I've watched Troy in TV program F.B.EYE
It's about 20years ago.
Now I'm so happy.
Long overdue 👏👏
An amazing job! A great movie ❤ Something has changed over my heart and my mind after watching this movie. THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH!!!!
He was SO @#$%ing good in CODA!!!
The scene where he puts his hand on Ruby's neck to get a feeling for her singing is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen in a movie.
Bawling my eyes out!
He just won an oscar too, congrats!
How many have you all here after watching CoDa? my current number one favourite movie..simply amazing 👏 😍 ❤
Must be interesting for all those British people to see a sign language different than what they use
That's a good point! 😂
Oh my God yes, get me that man as 007!!! 😍😎🙏🏻 He's damn attractive, charismatic, intelligent, funny and so expressive without saying one word. I'd certainly pay to see him bring a deaf James Bond to live, because I think we would forget about the absence of a voice within the first 20 min. Besides, let's be honest, the stereotypical dialogues of 007 haven't exactly been award-winning material at all times.
That was a joke, how could a deaf person become a spy?
@M.J You're not familiar with the dope skills of deaf people, are you?! No offense here, but it might surprise you to hear that deaf people have been recruited in different sectors of spy agencies for decades, in the US since the 1880s! Of course, there are tasks and missions with which a deaf spy wouldn't get assigned, but don't believe that
they have a less keen perception - It's quite the opposite. And I'm sure it comes in handy that no one suspects you to be a spy/agent, or that a deaf/deaf-mute is a lot harder to interrogate. 🕵🏽♂️ Anyway, I was just referring to Troy Kotsur's acting skills, personality, and looks. That reminded me of 007
@@m.j2124 the joke is you, making yourself look an axx.

I really wanted to watch his movie the child of deaf adult, but I can't because it wasn't available in our country. I can't find it in any platforms or site. The movie trailer made me really wanting to watch this because it is an emotion capturing. It captured my heart. It is a worth watch movie.
If you can watch La Famille Bellier in your country, watch it instead of Coda, is the same film
^ or the German version, “Beyond Silence.”
What an eloquent man.
So grateful to see this 😍.
I love CODA it will make you cry 😍😍😍
Congrats you're amazing
I accidentally stumble on one clip of this movie and I fall in love with movie
Watched the film ,it is great. All the actors are great in it
BRAVO to this man
I know that Hollywood goes Woke all the way, but this award couldn't be more deserving.
Coda is a great movie with outstanding performance by all main actors.
Mil felicidades!!!!♥️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Nice one, you genuinely are trying to show how dire things of the countries and it's citizens. Economically and other aspects. At this time the future doesn't look good. First thing. About solving a problem is to acknowledge it. It's doesn't look like the media wants to do , I hope your channel expand and bring awareness and opportunity to people. ❤️
