Hey Jamie, We own the exact same 2007 Niagara, but just an FYI , Fleetwood did make a LARGER popup in 2007, a Highlander Avalon, 2 feet longer with double axle. Kinda wish I had one, but we do love our Niagara. Enjoy the family time.

VERY NICE! SMART TO BUY USED, YOU CAN ENJOY YOUR PURCHASE FOR A FRACTION OF THE NEW PRICE. I USED TO RENT ONE ($100 FOR THE WEEK) FROM A GOOD FRIENDS MOM ONCE A YEAR TO CAMP AT YOSEMITE NATIOAL PARK. LATER ON THE WIFE BOUGHT ONE FROM A FRIEND AT WORK AND I DID A COMPLETE GUT JOB REMODEL ON IT. SHE REALLY LOVED THAT LITTLE POP UP CAMPER (SUPER EASY TOW WITH HER 4 CYL. 98' VOYAGER MINI VAN). THERE IS DEFINITELY A NICHE FOR THESE POP-UPS. CHEERS!

They probably didnt use the reflectix on the curb side because the awning provides shade for those windows and it's nice to have those ones open without the reflectix to deal with.

We recently purchased a 2010 Coleman Evolution E4 pop-up. Many of the features in this are in ours. We have the advantage of hauling toys on the front. It has a front deck big enough to put motorcycles on. Hard to find but We love it.

UV light coming in some of the windows is a really good idea, or else get a UV disenfectant light and run it after use (you can add LED light strips to boost the lighting). I love the camper and think you got a really good deal. May I suggest waterproofing it to the max, especially the canvas? Inspect frequently for leaks and mold. Make sure you have magnetic weights on the bottom of your shower curtain (love the bathroom), consider venting bathroom with a small fan and use Happy Camper or equivalent. You can load up with water on location or nearby where ever you are camping to lighten the load. Store inside your garage or elsewhere when not in use because it will preserve the camper. When using propane run a vented fan whenever possible to cut down on mold. These can be purchased and installed if need be. Consider installing a modern updated DC air conditioner, and batteries with solar panels - you won't regret it. You got a great deal there so use it frequently and enjoy!

@@jamie.andrews If you remove the upper curtain in the stall, you should see another port next to the toilet vent. you can use that for venting with a 12v computer fan and just get a vent cover for the outside like the toilet vent. You really don't want to make holes in the roof and risk more leaks. But the reason Fleetwood didn't install a vent was to prevent roof leaks and popup campers are well ventilated. breath through canvas and has plenty of windows. It's in their manuals

The problem was the plug end was very cheep and wold twist and break : it happened to mine: so it looks like some repaired it with the toggle switch on yours .PS check your weter fittings under your unit Ive replace a couple clamps on mine . you have a nice camper!

I have a 2006 Niagara. I also had a 2007 Arcadia that I recently sold to friends. I thought about swapping the tops so I'd have the fiberglass tops but it was just too much work.

Be very careful with that electric lift motor. Fleetwood actually recalled them. If you do use it, there's a warning to not use them when attached to shore power. Only use it when running on battery. Cables can easily snap and you can damage the whiffletree. I removed mine and converted it to hand crank.

I also bought a 2007 Niagara model 2 years ago and I like the space it has. The roof is not fiberglass. It looks like it but it's not. I thought the same, It's a one piece aluminum. Very thin. If you need parts and accessories and manuals and instructional videos, I get them from colemanpopupparts dot com and ebay and amazon. I see the heater exhaust is missing a screen vent on yours. Make sure your AC unit is screwed tight for no leaks and also silicon the roof edges. You may want to silicone it too. I had a water leak in mine and the curtains and tenting and bed got stained. I was able to get mine cleaned with oxi-clean. I also used white roof coating on the roof too. Remember It's aluminum and it is thin and any pinhole from a rock or tree branch will make a tiny hole not seen. Once I coated the roof. No More Leaks, Yeah! Enjoy it. Now seeing the bubble wrap on the bed area, That is a great idea. If you wash the canvas from the outside, be sure to reseal it with 303 Marine fabric seal. UV protection and make canvas waterproof again. I also changed all my outside lights to LED and also replaced the stop turn lights to have reverse lights as well so people will know I am reversing. Also us a pressure regulator for city water hook up

A whole lot of incorrect information above.
The 2007 Fleetwood Highlanders all came with once piece fiberglass tops. The 2006 had the 2 piece aluminum top with the seam down the middle. If yours had no seam down the middle, it's fiberglass. If it has a seam, it's aluminum. If you have a 2007 and it has aluminum, someone replaced the top with one from a 2006 for some reason.
Additionally, you don't use silicone on an RV, ever. The best permanent sealant is 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant 5200. You could also use a flexible UV resistant sealant such as ProFlexRV.
There is also no vent screen missing on the furnace exhaust. That's exactly how it comes from the factory.
Be very careful with LED lighting. Most LED modules are cheaply made junk and when overpowered get very hot and can start fires. Stick with the proper incandescent bulbs and you'll have nothing to worry about. They actually use less energy than the LED bulbs.

    • @arta2870
      @arta2870 3 года назад +1

@@KRTube75 I beg to differ on your response to my information. I still have the certification, owners manual, part manual, service manual that came with my popup and my 07 Highlander Niagara came with a one piece aluminum roof. When I removed my A/C unit due to rain water coming in. I did noticed that it was aluminum and very thin at that. And I know because I sliced my fingers on it. A good size tree branch can still puncture it. As for sealant. I did use RV grade silicone I purchased from an RV parts location here locally. And as for the screen on the exhaust heater, sure it has a screen on the exhaust but mine came extra screent from factory. It's an extra protection from bugs to get in. You can also purchase it a ColemanPopUpParts dot com. It's attached with Spring hooks.

Hi Jamie, I just bought this same model. Got a question: Those outside yellow lights/markers while driving are not on. Is that something to do with my truck hook up? Or with the trailer itself? The brake lights, left and right RED lights work perfect with my truck; but I’m wondering about those yellow lights. Are they lights? Or just reflectors? Thanks!

The yellow lights turn on with the running lights. If your other running lights are working but the yellow ones aren't working, either the bulbs are blown or there's an issue with the wiring. The running light wire is usually going to be green. Under the seat near the power center you'll see a green and white wire running through a hole in the front of the trailer. There's a quick connector also. I've seen several times where the pins weren't pushed in all the way into the plastic connector. I just cut off the connectors and either crimp them together or solder them together. Problem solved.

Hi, I’d like to know more about that reflective panel on top of the pull out bed part. And, I’m not quite understanding the aluminum like panels around the windows where the bed is. Is it so it keeps it cool/warm inside? I’m new to camping. I’m buying one like this, but it is the Avalon one.

The reflective panels on the top of the bunk ends are called popup gizmos. A Google search will land you on their page. The stuff in the windows is reflectix which you can order by the roll and cut. It is to help insulate the camper in the summer and winter.
