20:08 really Nery ?? - think of those wonderful divers breatholding for minutes and moving very well under water .... Think of weigthlifters or yourself lifting your partner : You will reflexifly hold your breath during lifting a heavy weigth for safety and spine stabilisation. At 20:58 your inhaling and for a short moment you are holding your breath and then at the end of the move starting your exhale .So I dont think that dancers use connected breathing during dancing .

I respectfully want to express that I Find this type of new fad, rather annoying and shallow-minded.The social events, where this type of movements are performed, don´t reflect the real spirit of what salsa dancing is about, Dancing salsa involves the whole body and soul, and the footwork is rarely present here.,there are too many turns ,spins, armwork, shaking, jerking and Legs are used here as a mere support for the upper body movements.Everybody moves the same ,like robots ,and when they try to do something different it almost always end up with awkward movements and that is because these ones are not included in their MEMORY!! you know what I Mean, dont you?I know, you really think that you are teachers and you may be , but teachers of what?these people really try hard to imitate you teachers but they can´t feel it because it is not in their nature,it is like a peasant from our central and south american towns dancing rock music. You are misleading these people and the worst part it is that they are brainwashedly convinced that this the righ way to dance and come to countries where people can really dance salsa and tell them that they are doing it wrong!!! can you believe it?Asians,Europeans and people from the U.S.A correcting us,the world has turned upside down!!!.And lastly ,Why do you use salsa as the music for these events, why not bachata, merengue ,cumbia, hip hop? if these people finally move to any rythm the same way?please pass this message on to terry alliance, bertsy cortez, fady fusion, adolfo indacochea, maykel fonts, fernando sosa ,karen forcano, eddie torres jr,panagiotis, amnery martinez and the other ones that make up this select group of rising teachers and shallow ,vain and blind followers.

hernan romero I appreciate your time to comment and understand you have your opinions of how salsa should be danced and taught. However, I see Salsa as a dance for the world to experience in their own expression. All I’m doing is sharing my experience and self expression. At the same time just trying to bring a bit of joy into people’s life 🙏🏼🧡

@@antonio17252000 thanks for your words but I Strongly feel that you and your fellow teachers should tell your students that what they are learning from you it is not the traditional way of dancing salsa ,that as you yourself say, it is their own expression limited by their nature ,cultural roots etc,and that, in no way they should come to other countries pretending they are salsa dancing masters ,it´s highly offensive!!!!,I Had that horrible experience in my country with a foreign woman who could barely move, who told me that i couldn´t dance because I WASN´T DANCING IN 1 OR 2 ,these people come to our bars and discotheques and take over all the avilable space with their exaggerated and bombastic movements learned from you guys and they add their own ones that are always clumsy making it unbereable for the others to enjoy themselves ,you must know that the one who doesn´t really know what he is doing is a pain in the ass,and most of these people, besides being masters of nothing, are rude and conceited.Well I Feel that is an important part of you duties as a teacher make your students and fellow teachers aware of all this. thank you for your time.
