      I always come in and out of Fallout New Vegas and I download my own list multiple times when I do, I get what you're saying tho. I've tried following multiple mod videos before coming up with my own list and something would go wrong

    To anyone watching this video.. click NEXT. Nearly everything I’ve seen in this video after engine mods can easily break your game, and NEVER use ENB’s. Shame on the uploader.

    Quick question, does the lighting and texture mods affect FPS? If so, by how much?

      Try keeping track of what mods you enabled. You can back track and de-select it. The same thing happened to me too, to the point where I didn't know how to fix it either. I just sucked it up, wiped everything and started clean again. Got it working now

      If you're new to modding follow the Viva New Vegas guide, and I recommend using Mod Organizer 2 (Gamer Poets has a good guide) if you aren't. If you plan on adding any additional mods on top of Viva New Vegas I suggest installing and testing them one by one. Installing a large amount all at once is quite difficult for beginners to modding, especially when you have to find that ONE specific mod that is messing everything up.

      The Strip Open can cause a lot of problems, honestly everything in this video after engine mods is more sketchy than worth it for your game.

    GREAT VIDEO. All of it worked for me even the mods you didn’t talk about. I’ve been modding FO4 for a while now and never really modded FNV but now I have an awesome base for any other mods I want to add. Thanks again.

    Great video, but I would recommend using Just Assorted Mods for things like the Loot Menu, Crosshair (this one depends on your preference) and the Sprint. I'm aware you said you prefer the "most basic of basic" sprint mods, but JAM's sprint is pretty basic as well, just that it's a lot better. JAM's Loot Menu is also a lot better and has support for a variety of other mods.
    As for the ENB, while it is ultimately up to preference the gist of it is that ENB has never worked very well in New Vegas compared to something like Skyrim. I'd recommend ReShade or better yet New Vegas Reloaded as more stable (and imo prettier) alternatives.

  • @MagicMorales
    @MagicMorales 4 месяца назад +2

    Probably use, Viva New Vegas for better mods, Don't use ENB (outdated), dont use loot menu, use JAM instead.

    I would be careful with Heap replacer a lot of people have been reporting many issues with it. Alternately you can increase the heap size in NVSE config

    Don’t use ENB it’s broken for FNV. Use New Vegas Reloaded if you really want something that looks like and ENB but actually works. Also you’ll want Another Weapon Retexture Project, it’s an updated version of WRP and modernized for 2024 FNV modding and injects them through scripts instead of taking an ESP slot.

      I highly suggest downloading vortex (its a mod manager) It will alert you of missing files, mod conflicts and the such. Its more user friendly than the other mod managers. They all have pro's and cons but vortex is more noob friendly but just as good. You'll have to make a nexus mod account. Then simply go to files when looking at a mod and select "Mod manager download" Be sure to always read the instructions and FAQ's of the mods you're downloading to find patches, and incompatible mods and known issues. It's easier then you think. I also suggest removing mods one at a time and running your game to see what might be the issue. Modding can be tedious and it can take some time to set up your game properly. Also, I do not suggest downloading any of the ENB shaders homeboy talked about in the video. You should use ReShader instead, it's also very user friendly and not as buggy or demanding as ENB's.

      @@deadmanwalking915 Pls get some more basic modding knowledge. Fnv is a pretty broken game especially with mods. Vortex is already a pretty meh mod manager but especially for fnv. It should be common knowledge to get mo2 for fnv instead, every decent guide on the planet suggest it instead. Use mo2 for fnv vortex is meh or decent for fo4 and skyrim but even then mo2 is still better. For your sake I hope that you don't use vortex for oblvion. That game is such a mess there is pretty much only one usable mod manager for it

    • @skigui9078
      @skigui9078 5 месяцев назад +1

      Nah you probably did it correctly or maybe some error with how the load order was structured. The issue is fnv already crashes a lot and lacks quite a few good engine and stability mods. The issue is the rest of the mods ENB is well known in the community to be extremely broken in every way, the weapon retexture is over a decade old and hasn't seen an update for 4 years. Better alternatives exist this one is pretty bad and unstable. You shouldn't get these versions of the sprint mod and loot menu either get JAM assorted mods, they feature them and a few more. Using poco bueno with NMC is just asking for instability as well. Use NMCs only and look up the graphics guide the guys behind viva new vegas did, they also show NVR which is leagues better than ENB in looks but also stability and not bricking your game. The strip open is extremely game wrecking. It breaks the game. It pushes the engine and doesn't help performance be stable one bit, get simple strip open and simple freeside open instead they are much more stable. Far too many of these mods are outdated and old, like he legit suggests a sprint mod that hasn't been updated since 2010. I know it's hard starting out modding and we all fall for bad mod guides so no shame about that. Check out viva new vegas to get a good base mod list and check out their NVR modlist for further improved graphics. Always remember to read the nexus pages. If a mod hasn't been updated since 2010 99% chance that better alternatives exist

      @@skigui9078 Who are you? Why are you so disagreeable and salty? Vortex is completely fine, if you actually read my comment you would have seen that I said Vortex has it's pros and cons but its fine to use as a beginner and it's fine to use for Fallout New Vegas. Countless forums suggest vortex for beginners or just for general use. Your spelling is awful and your assumptions are lacking. If I ever decide to mod oblivion. I'll use vortex just to spite you lmfao. I'm running a FNV modded playthrough right now and I have zero issues. Aside from obvious crashing sometimes, because the nature of Bethesda games. But Vortex allows you to override mods, fix conflicts and change your load order. It shows you missing files and even has an archive invalidation. You have zero reasons for using MO2 other then saying "its bad waa waaa"

    • @skigui9078
      @skigui9078 5 месяцев назад +3

      A lot of these mods are extremely outdated and I mean up to a decade old. Never use enb use reshade or nvr instead it's bricked for fnv. This isn't skyrim or fallout 4 which are pretty much the only games where they work well. Check out viva new vegas for a good guide. If you want improved visuals on top of that just get nvr and a few simple retextures. This guide is pretty garbage no offense to the creator but it simply is. It's outdated, poorly optimized and pretty much everything that can be wrong is wrong. Like I said if you want a good guide use viva new vegas and the other mod guides related to viva new vegas for even more improved graphics and other stuff
