Why do they care? Whoever mined the jade can sell/give it to whoever they want. The only reason people are mad is because now they can't be the middleman between Chinese and the highest-quality Jade sellers. They're mad they aren't getting a huge cut of the profit anymore because the sellers are using WeChat to sell directly to Chinese citizens. You don't need to be a middleman. Find a new job.

Since u don’t understand most of the “sellers and Miners” and most of the good quality is controlled by junta and their supporters The gemstones market have been like the number 1 thing that gave food on the table for the people in Burma don,t matter wtv tribe they were, History remember that Myanmar is one of the
richest in precious GEMS which is why it’s been invaded multiple time with British Japanese and china etc why u make a statement y don’t fully know u can ask question but think before u make a one sided statement.

Securing the supply chain is important. Hoping Myanmar can ensure the whole chain especially the miners are properly paid.

Thirty years ago, gems and timber left Burma for Thailand. Thai companies/army generals and politicians made a fortune from it. Burma was shut off from the world, and Thailand was its main route for export. It was the same thirty years ahgo and more in Cambodia, where the Khmer Rouge in rural areas near the Thai border allowed Thai companies to olunder trees and gems and anything else.

It could be bought off in those towns by local (refining) companies as soon found and the 'diggers' refunded immediately. Then exported to foreign countries or traded with foreigners; to have the sales regulated and assure quality besides loans for 'diggers'.
(Not long ago I lost a wristband with jade-beads (and saphir, medal, keys) in a tiny black leather bag. Not I would value it much except related memories.)
