Ok.. I will be in Copenhagen for only 2 days in April and I need you to tell me the best… i repeat best Pastry shop… where my wife and I can enjoy some very good sweet pastries.
Well, let's see. Of the bakeries I have visited my two favourites for selection and quality have to be Andersen Bakery (andersen-bakery-eu.dk/) and the Sankt Peders Bageri (instagram.com/sct.pedersbageriogkonditori/?). I really enjoy the options at these places. If however you want an option as well you can frequent daily and that has great quality and options, as well as having locations around the city, then my goto is lagkagehuset.dk/ ... Hope this helps and enjoy your trip! If any Danes watching this have suggestions, would love to hear as well!

Your pronounciation wasn't actually that bad. I've heard a lot worse :)
It's kind of funny but Danes used to only consider Wienerbrød (Danish Pastry) the laminated type pastry.
However, this has changed so also everything is being considered Wienerbrød today except confectionary cakes, cookies etc.
Most Danes eat various types of bread in the morning, although sometime accompanied by a Tebirkes. The actual Danish pastry is usually eaten by Danes either at a 10AM coffee break or a 3PM coffee break. It can of course be eaten all day but as you have probably discovered, it is not something we usually eat a lot of simply because you tend to get far too high sugar levels which make you hyper active for a short while but it is not as good a rye bread to provide long time energy.
For fancy cakes, try La Glace in Copenhagen.
